"Great location if shopping centres and city life is your thing but the street noise may be disturbing. Very standard amenities, small pool with no view, large gym, a sauna that took ages to heat up, needs upgrade/fixing. Great breakfast buffer with wide selection of Chinese and Western dishes. Overall a 4* experience, as expected, so no major +/- issues. If you want a 5* accomodation at not different price point other options are available in Nanning. I had very good experience with Ming-Du, not as central locationl as Marriott, but quieter, better views, and overall a more elevated environment."

"We love this hotel. It's perfectly located close to the river where a lot of people hang out during the evening and close to a lot of shops, a foodstreet and restaurants. The hotel has style. People are friendly and their breakfast is complete. Please know that the swimming pool isn't open till the 1st May. And a cosy family room is not big enough for three adults and a 15 year old, it doesn't have enough beds. So we bought an upgrade to get a huge family room with enough place to sleep and sit. We had a great stay!"

"It's literally the nicest hotel in the area despite being expensive. Our room overlooked the sunset and the view was beautiful. The front desk staff efficiently checked me in, making me feel right at home.Special thanks to Jackson, who made the stay perfect and was helpful every step of the way! I'll definitely come back. Perhaps the most pleasing aspect was the hotel's quiet atmosphere that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. There were no sounds of traffic or construction to distract or annoy us, and that was a pleasant change from our normal routine. We are happy to recommend to everyone that they book their next stay for rest and recreation at the Nan Ning Shangri-La Hotel. By the way, the hotel's location is very convenient as it is central to shopping, restaurants and recreation venues. Aurelia, Jessica, Eileen, Doris, and Iris are great."

"We had a wonderful stay and were truly impressed by how extremely service-oriented the staff were—everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. A special mention goes to the lady who assisted us during check-in; unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name, but she made us feel very welcome right from the start. The laundry service was a big plus and very convenient. Housekeeping also did an excellent job keeping the room clean and comfortable throughout our stay. On top of that, there was a very sweet cleaning lady in the lobby who proactively helped us with our luggage when we checked out, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The breakfast spread was also really good, with plenty of variety and a great way to start the day. Overall, the level of service truly stood out and made our stay extra pleasant."

"Location: OK. Since it is a new hotel, it feels clean and spacious, with good service. The laundry system is convenient—you can check on the TV whether your clothes have finished washing. Breakfast: Very good, with a wide variety of options and plenty of food to choose from. Our room was on a very high floor, so the surroundings had a great view. However, the hotel window did not close properly. In my opinion, this looks like unfinished work by the construction company. The company responsible for the exterior facade should be asked to redo the work. Overall, we were very satisfied and left with the intention of staying here again in the future."

"The location was quite convenient, just 5-10 minutes to the train station by taxi, and there were a lot of restaurants nearby. The room condition was great and lived up to the Hilton brand standard. Breakfast was just okay overall, but I really liked the noodle they served. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel for its convenience and quality rooms."

"If you are concerned about the security of your belongings, think carefully before staying at this hotel. I want to state first that the receptionists and front desk staff are excellent and professional. Unfortunately, there is a serious issue with room security and unauthorized entry. I am a returning guest. First stay: 10–14 December, Room 3031 Second stay: 22–24 December, Room 3003 During my first stay, I informed the cleaning supervisor that I did not want housekeeping until 14 December. When my room ran out of bottled water, I spoke to a cleaning staff member who said she would place the water in my room later after I went out. During our conversation, my room door accidentally shut, and she used a master key card to open it. Looking back, she could have simply handed the water to me as her cart was in the hallway. On 12 or 13 December, the same cleaning staff mentioned that they “cannot earn if they do not clean my room.” Feeling pressured, I agreed to allow floor cleaning only. I stood outside the room while two cleaners mopped the toilet, changed towels, and vacuumed the carpet. On 14 December early checkout, I reached for a pair of black slack pants that had been hanging in the closet since 10 December but it was not there. At that time, I assumed the pants may have been accidentally packed into the two bags for the hotel’s luggage storage. I then traveled to other parts of China with light luggage and did no shopping. I returned to the hotel on the night of 22 December and collected my stored bags. The black slack pants were not in them. During second stay at the hotel I did no shopping. After 24th Dec flying home, I discovered something even more alarming. A bundle of newly purchased jeans for my sister and mother during my first stay—packed together in a plastic bag—was missing. At the airport on 24th Dec, my bags were shrink-wrapped and sealed, and is no wander the total weight was at least 1.3 kg lighter than expected. This suggests that someone entered my room when the room was vacant and removed items from my packed luggage. Hotel staff would have known my checkout date, and I had not opened my bags after packing. This experience has caused me great distress. While the front desk service is commendable, the lack of room security and the disappearance of personal belongings is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to investigate this matter seriously."

"We stayed at the Yeste International Hotel (Chaoyang Square District Government) for five nights in mid November. Here's the pros and cons: Pros: 1) Good location. Within about 5 - 10 minutes walk, you will find yourself in the heart of one of Nanning's busiest shopping and dining district. 2) Good buns and vegetable dishes at breakfast. (If you'd like a piece of toast, however, there's no jam or butter. No cereals either. This is odd considering that the hotel markets itself as ”international”.) Cons: 1) The Yeste we stayed at promoted itself as ”opened in 2019” but this is misleading! It had been operated as some other hotels before the Yeste brand ”opened” the property as its own. The rooms may have been renovated but many details are clearly worn out from yellow caulking, slow drainage, to moldy cracks. The bathrooms are excruciatingly small. You can't access the full countertop without cramming your legs against the toilet bowl. (We stayed at the ”super” room. Looking back at the online photos posted by the hotel, we couldn't believe that's actually the room we'd stayed at. The fisheye effect used in taking those photos are misleading.) 2) The property allows smoking in some areas. Even if you booked a ”non-smoking” room, chances are that you will ”enjoy” second-hand smoking in the elevator, hallways, even in your own room. 3) Security is non-existent. There is a lobby at the front, but through a side door, which is open 24/7, anyone and everyone can come and go at will. The hotel shares the building with other tenants (businesses). From food delivery, other tenants in the building, to patrons of different businesses, the entire building is an open book. With the push of a button, anyone can access your hotel floors anytime of the day. Overall, if you are looking for a budget hotel to stay in the city, this property is okay. If you expect quality, security, or services, this is not the place to be."

"Overall the hotel is well organzied. Only staff not smart, careful and not detailed in mind. My stay extended one day, since cannot change the original booking (a 2 days stay), I made another one separately. Upon check in, reminded reception, and the gentleman did arranged my check in through out entire 3 days. Unfortunately, the assigned room at 19th floor (?) has bad smoke smell, thus I requested a change of room, at first the customer service lady on phone asked me to open window, and giving different kind of excuse and tried to refuse my request, after much request, she said she will arrange and will can me back. Which took 15-20mins and still no return call for updates, until I called again and finally got a change of room to 18th. another 2 bad experience were : 1) after changed room to 18th, only 2 days being arranged and on the 3rd day when I returned to room, my card was disabled and I had to go down to reception and got my card reactivated, where the girl did challenged me about my booking, said it's no record showing that I have 3rd day booking... 2) my booking is executive room, with free lounge service, after being moved to 18th, I am not able to access 19th to enjoy the lounge, and, I had to go down to reception, again... for the rest, overall service is OK, and the lounge is great."
