"Great location if shopping centres and city life is your thing but the street noise may be disturbing. Very standard amenities, small pool with no view, large gym, a sauna that took ages to heat up, needs upgrade/fixing. Great breakfast buffer with wide selection of Chinese and Western dishes. Overall a 4* experience, as expected, so no major +/- issues. If you want a 5* accomodation at not different price point other options are available in Nanning. I had very good experience with Ming-Du, not as central locationl as Marriott, but quieter, better views, and overall a more elevated environment."

"I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! I was upgraded to a smart room, which made my experience even better. It was incredibly convenient to control the appliances with just a simple voice command through Xiao Du xiao du. The location was perfect, right next to a mall, making shopping and dining super easy. The only minor downsides were that the tap in the bathroom felt a bit old, and when calling Didi, the road was quite busy. Overall, I would recommend it! 👍"

"This is obviously a very nice hotel and I would recommend and would stay here again. Luxury is very obvious all over this hotel, and it is frankly very cheap for what it is. The moment we came in, bellhops insisted to carry our bags up to the 80th floor lobby. They were always opening doors for us and very helpful with our bags, 24/7. Once we arrived, we were welcomed in and sat down at an individual desk for check in. There, we were served some excellent tea. The hotel purser came over and welcomed us in. My girlfriend is Chinese and spoke to the staff in Chinese, but the purser switched up to English to welcome me to the hotel, which is a nice detail. Most Chinese hotel staff consistently avoid putting in the effort to speak English to me. The hard product is amazing and is matched well with great service. Staff were always attentive and welcoming in both Chinese and English, always saying hello and checking in. The cons: This hotel, just like most Marriott hotels, is trying to nickel and dime you, which doesn’t make a lot of sense at this price point. In some ways it isn’t, such as an included mini-bar (all non-alcoholic), but for example it doesn’t have a laundry service, while basically any 3-5 star hotel in China would have included laundry. Also, there is a car transfer service, but it’s so absurdly priced for no particular reason. 400 rmb+ for basic transfers where as a Didi would be 10 rmb. Similar luxury properties such as the Ritz-Carlton has these amenities included. The restaurants were nice. We only tried Na Lian, which despite being an in-house guest and being told that they could get reservations for us, we basically were treated like walk-in’s despite being told we had reservations (and we were unable to get a window seat). The bar was also nice and we enjoyed it, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The bar manager waited for us to arrive, but the bar consistently had spend limits for any table or reservation, which additionally just seemed silly, considering we were already staying in a booked deluxe room. The drinks and lamb were very good. The menu was a little outdated, and illustrated wine by the glass, but we were then told that the menu is wrong and they don’t do that. Also, there was strangely a lack of extra towels and bins in the room. I found myself walking into the bathroom many times to throw away trash. This is a good hotel and I plan to be back again, but it can definitely improve. Too much nickel and diming. Good service and good products inspire people to come back, which is worth much more than selling one bottle of shampoo and pushing a customer to never return again. Comfy robes and slippers. 9.5/10"

"We were most satisfied with this hotel among all the experiences on our trip. The location was excellent, the room was in superb condition, and the swimming pool was wonderful. Above all, the staff working there were incredibly kind. We are Korean and don't speak Chinese well, but the all staff assisted us in so many ways. They even gave my child a local souvenir, which made our memory of this 南宁 even more special. We will never forget the staff's kindness! Thank you!"

"I stayed a few times in this hotel. It's clean and near the mrt station 🚉. Lots of eatery around and Ikea is 1 stop away with even more shopping variety. 小林 is very helpful and provide good customer service during my stay here."

"酒店前台跟樓層服務員都很熱情，辦入住我跟前台問了附近有沒有品質好一點的水果店，前台估計知道我想吃水果，還特地給我安排送了一份果盤，房間挺大的，我的腰很挑床，太軟太硬的第二天都會腰痛，這個床不錯，睡了一晚沒有任何不舒服的地方！早餐也很符合我的口味，看酒店的食材好像用料都很足，很少能吃到這種好吃的筍絲，確實划算，我看樓下好像還有一個可以休閑的露台花園？"

"Hi, I stayed at Double Tree hotel at WuXiang, Nanning. Overall the environment is clean and spacious and the senior staff is much helpful to provide assistance as I was first time at Nanning. Unfortunately, on my last day of visit on 17th March, I encountered a bad experience with Luckin Coffee stall at Double Tree Hotel. A one man staff attending to several orders totally ignored me while I was waiting for his attention to make order. Understandably I tried to wait however, he seems so engrossed over his tasks hence, I get his attention to said I need a cup of coffee and he just said scan the code...I scanned with my usual scanner and did not work out, and revert to him, he then said use Weixin. As this is my first time, I find it difficult as not familiar and I gave up since he doesn't bother to render help. It was very disappointing to experience this after having a good impression of Nanning generally. I really hope the Hotel can be more friendly as this is supposed to be a four stars hotel. "The room was big and spacious. Everything is new and clean. Comes with a Japanese TOTO toilet, which is a delight. Attentive and helpful front desk girl."
