"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Nanchang Tengwang Pavilion, thanks to its warm service, unexpected upgrade, and unbeatable location. From check-in, Li Yuan (李媛）was friendly and attentive, swiftly handled requests, offered helpful tips for my stay and local areas and even answered my questions outside of her work time. She also offered a complimentary room upgrade, a room with great river view. Thanks to her genuine hospitality. The self-service laundry service provided by the hotel is very helpful and convenient. The breakfast has a good variety of freshly prepared food. The location is unbeatable. It’s steps away from the iconic Tengwang Pavilion, and a short walk to the metro (Line 1), riverside promenades, shopping streets (Zhongshan Road), and fantastic local restaurants. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers!"

"I was completely ‘WOW’ by the services and the cleanliness of my rooms during my stay at Shangri La Nanchang. The cleaners who cleaned my rooms were consistent in maintaining clean and sparkling surface top of my rooms. We were given connecting rooms (2713 & 2714) which made it easier for me to walk over to my children without stepping out of my room in my pyjamas. Manager Mr Hank Zhang ensured my stay was pleasant, convenient and enjoyable for me as he knew that I was staying there for 5D4N with my 3 children. Counter staff Ms Ava Li was friendly and professional in handling my request with thoughtful act and professionalism. Thank you to all the staff in Shangri La Nanchang for making my last lap of the China trip a pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable stay from 21 to 25 December 2024. I would strongly recommending EVERYONE to stay at Shangri La Nanchang. Lastly, the bell boy and traffic control staff were always helpful and friendly in treating every guest with respect. "Five minutes from West Railway station and Yellow metro line. Fantastic breakfast and very helpful staff. No street map but metro map available at front desk. A system of colored tags with destination in Chinese for taxi handy. For some reason no bar fridge. Lots of small restaurants close by. Shuttle service provided to rail station."

"The staff was nice and the location is really convenient (right next to the metro station and short taxi ride to the city center). The furniture was quite old and the room quite sparse. The walls were dirty in places. The bathroom was the cleanest part, which is good. All in all, shouldn't be your first option but will work for a short trip."

"I recommend you book this hotel apartment. The price and space you get is amazing. The only downside is the second floor bedroom height, not recommended for anyone taller than 5 foot 7 or 180 cm."

"There are two Hampton hotels in this area, so make sure you enter the right hotel name in getting local uber. We made a mistake :-) Front desk, Sean, was exceptionally helpful. He helped us to change room that is without cigarette smell, offered to carry online shopping boxes up to our room, and provided a tourist map. We thank his service. It's a new hotel, so the facitlities are in good shape. It's located on the higher floors of a commercial building, so offered good view of the city. Sean tried to offer us room with river view but not available as we checked in late. Breakfast is mainly local flavor, good for us but might not be to western travellers. But I do hope that foreigners try out local dishes. Hey, that's the fun part of traveling."

"This was our second stay at this hotel, and everything was still perfect. We want to express our appreciation for one of the staff members at check-in, Yuki. She remembered us—perhaps because of our limited Mandarin skills (haaaa....haaa.....)—and went out of her way to ensure we understood everything we needed to know. Yuki also reminded us to reach out to her or her colleagues if we needed any assistance. Her efforts made our stay even more enjoyable!!"

"Well-located for Nanchang West Station, which is why I chose it, but otherwise the surrounding area is nothing special. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient. Very good value for money."
