The service is excellent! The serve, food, room, and other items are impressive.

We took a taxi to this location because it was a little too far by bus, and we had all of our luggage with us. The location is beautiful. If you're only staying for one night like we did, then you should check in at the earliest (3:00 pm) so you can explore the local area. There are some really nice shrines nearby. We were only able to do this after breakfast the next morning. We also had to be out by 10:00 am, which surprised us because it was listed as 11:00 am on Trip.com. You will be served traditional Japanese cuisine for dinner and breakfast. They do an excellent job of presenting all of the dishes, and the service is also incredible. But if you're not used to eating raw fish, or traditional Japanese cuisine in general, you should definitely bring your own snacks to eat in your room! We stayed in the Garden view room with tatami mats. The staff will actually rearrange the room for you during dinner and set up your beds if you select this room. That was a very nice touch, so make sure you don't leave your room a total mess before dinner! I have added a picture of the beds after they were set up. The garden view was well worth the money we spent for it. Very relaxing and beautiful. And surprisingly enough...the tatami beds were super comfortable and warm!

The hotel itself is absolutely amazing, beautiful architecture and killer view. Very dedicated and hospitable staff. Love the experience here. Just one thing that when it came to catering services, it still needs improvement. Every time we had breakfast, seemed there were not enough manpower to care for every table, the food took long to serve and one time there was no appetizers until we reminded the staff. Also when we asked for rooftop bar availability, the front desk staff told us it was fully booked tonight and need reservation. But when we asked the bar directly, there were still plenty of tables open to guests. Think the hotel should improve the hospitality management on this part. But it’s overall a fantastic experience. Will definitely recommend and revisit.

Service: Fantastic! Staff are extremely helpful and kind, thank you! We're offered welcome drink and dessert. Staff even helped to bring our luggages to the room. Facilities: Great! Very quiet and private. Everything in the room are complimentary :) Room: Everything's great! Onsen in room is nice! To improve: Have more hooks/space to hang clothes will be even better. Bed is too soft to our likings. We didn't use the chair in the shower area too..

Olin erinomainen majoitus Fauchonissa. Saapuessamme lämpimässä vieraanvaraisuudessa olimme tervetulleita. Hotellihenkilökunta oli myös uskomattoman huolellinen ja ystävällinen koko majoitustamme. Huoneeni oli pieni mutta mukava, jossa oli moderni ja ylellinen tilaisuus, jotka olivat tyylikkäästi vaaleanpunainen ja mukava vuode. ママ友と、子供達で泊まりました！ おもちゃやキッズのアメニティなど嬉しかったです！ あとは、ベビーソープや洗面の踏み台も置いてあったので助かりました。 ベッドガードがない為、枕をいくつかお借りしてベッドの横に置きました。 部屋に内線電話がなかったので、フロントに足を運ばないといけなかったのが少しマイナスポイントですが、２４時間の飲み物サービスがフロントのところにあるのでそれを取りに行くついでにお願いしたいことを伝える感じにしました！ ２４時間の飲み物サービスは、コーヒーや抹茶ラテ、ココアなどもありました！ペットボトルのミネラルウォーターもたくさん取れて子供が計3人いたので助かりました！ 朝食は、ホテル下にあるカフェでいただきました。 キッズプレートもあり、子供達も大喜びでした。

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Highly recommended. 1. The breakfasts are amazing. Looked forward to it every morning during the trip. 2. The room we booked includes 2 beds and 2 futons, I like that combination, suitable for the elderly who may have problems sleeping on the floor. My kids also said the futon is super comfy. 3. The location is very convenient too, within walking distance to many places of interest. 4. If you prefer to have no room service during the stay, you can also opt out of room service, and the hotel will gift you a box of cookies as a replacement for that option. I like that. 5. We booked a Kaiseiki dinner one day in advance during our stay, a bit expensive, but the experience was amazing, and we had the entire restaurant for ourselves for that dinner. But, I won't recommend booking all dinners (with the room) though, there are a lot of good meal options around the area. So definitely should explore more; must try more options in Gion as there are many amazing Japanese places within walking distance. Overall a really good experience. Thank you.

Hotelli sijaitsee kahden kaupungin tien vastapäätä, jalkakäytävä on noin 8 minuuttia. Jalankulku kahden kaupungin etupuolella sijaitsevaan metroasemaan on noin 6 minuuttia. Jalankulku noin 25 minuuttia U-tankilla. Sijainti on hyvä.Aamiainen on hyvä. Huone on hieman vanha, ei edes USB-suojus, kaksivuodevuode on noin 1.3 metriä. Hygienia on hyvä.

Very good stay with perfect location. A walk behind the hotel is the bars and restaurants district of Kyoto - you can find a lot of speakeasies and enjoy nights of drinking cocktails and music. It is also just a 5-10 minutes walk to the station which connects to the various attractions in Kyoto - like Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We went during New Year’s Day - and although some shops are closed but bars are open and the hotel reception has a list of restaurants which are open as well and is helpful in letting us know. The room ( we picked one of the artist’s room) and it is wonderful. It is big and spacious by Japanese standard with very large bathroom , separate bathtub and toilet and large space. The facade of the room is also a clean, minimalist look with the detailed white and black cups down. We really enjoyed the room and the space. Breakfast is complimentary and there is a good selection of toasts. One of us is vegetarian - and they do have a selection of vegetarian toast ( not much) but they accommodated with vegetarian soup if you ask !
