Kioto Hostellit

The hostel was exceptionally clean and well-organized. The sleeping area was larger than typical hostels, providing extra comfort for rest. The high ceilings created a spacious and airy atmosphere, eliminating any sense of confinement. Overall, staying at this hostel was a very pleasant and comfortable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tidy and relaxing place to stay.

Het was een hele schone hostel en zeker fijne matras. Je kreeg elke dag schone handdoeken. Je kon tandenborstel, kammetje, pjama, scheermesje etc gratis pakken. Dit was zeker de netste en schoonste hostel die ik ooit ben geweest. Je had ook een bad. Ik Heb een dagje echt een Me-time gehad. De medewerkers waren behulpzaam en lief. Ik kon elke dag stijltang lenen. Er was gratis thee en koffie hele dag beschikbaar Het hostel zelf was ook heel rustig!

Located perfectly near Kyoto-Kawaramachi, this hostel can offer top service in every aspect: staff is very welcome and friendly, everyone speak great English and everything is clean. They have male and women only floors and also one that is a mix for everybody. Each guest is offered a locker that can fit a 203cm luggage and can keep your extra bags. Capsule itself is extremely spacious, as a 182cm male I could sit up properly in my space and still have room above me. Ventilation is okay and power sockets as well as good lightning are included. Toilets and showers are very well cleaned and maintained. Each day you are given a new set of towels and slippers, which is very nice. Guests here were well mannered and friendly. Overall I can say with confidence that this is a very good place to stay in Kyoto, totally recommend! P.S.: Gion is located nearby so that is also a plus. Note that this is not ”party” hostel

FUGA STAY, true to the meaning of its name “fuga” (elegance and serenity), is a refined and peaceful hideaway tucked within the heart of Kyoto. I personally love hotels that are hidden away from the main road yet still extremely convenient—just a 3 to 5-minute walk from Omiya Subway Station and numerous Kyoto city bus stops. If you’re into cycling or using e-scooters, there’s a Luup rental station right in front of the hotel. The room is spacious and very comfortable for a solo traveler. It comes with two double beds that you can easily move together to form a super king-size bed. The bathroom is also large, with no sense of tightness. The front desk staff speaks Japanese and Chinese, so communication is smooth and easy. Honestly, I’m hesitant to praise FUGA too much—if too many people discover it, the price might go up! P.S. Just around the corner is Tendō Shrine, only a 2-minute walk away. It felt like a beautiful encounter by fate. FUGA STAYは、その名の通り「風雅」で、賑やかな場所の中にありながらも静かで、控えめで上品な空間です。 大通りに面していないホテルが好きな私にとって、ここは理想的な立地です。徒歩3〜5分で大宮駅や京都市内の多数のバス停にアクセスできます。 自転車や電動キックボードが好きな方には、目の前にLuupのステーションがあってとても便利です。 部屋は広く、一人で泊まってもとても快適です。ダブルベッドが2台あり、自分で簡単に動かして、特大キングサイズベッドのように使うことができます。トイレも広々としていて、窮屈さは感じません。 フロントでは日本語と中国語（漢語）が通じるので、安心して滞在できます。 正直、あまり褒めすぎたくないです…人気が出て値上がりしそうで（笑） P.S. すぐ近くの路地に「天道神社」があり、徒歩2分ほどです。素敵なご縁を感じました。 FUGA STAY，如同其名字「風雅」一般，是一處鬧中取靜、低調而優雅的住宿空間。 我特別喜歡這種不在主幹道上、卻又交通便利的飯店——步行3到5分鐘即可抵達地鐵大宮站與眾多京都市巴士站點。 如果你喜歡騎單車或滑板車，門口就有Luup的租借點，非常方便。 房間空間寬敞，一個人住起來非常舒適，因為配置了兩張雙人床（可以輕鬆地自行移動，變成超級大king size）；廁所空間也很大，毫無壓迫感。 前台服務人員通曉日語與漢語，溝通無障礙。 說真的，我不太想過度讚美FUGA，因為怕太多人知道之後價格會上漲（笑） P.S. 小巷轉角就有一間「天道神社」，走路約2分鐘，非常有緣。

As a solo traveler, I highly recommend this hostel for its exceptional quality and value. I stayed in a private room for just one night, but the experience was memorable. The location is convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions, although it’s not the most centrally located spot in Kyoto. What truly stood out was the service—staff members were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and eager to help with any needs or questions. The amenities were also top-notch, including clean and comfortable facilities, well-maintained common areas, and thoughtful extras that made my stay even more enjoyable. If I ever return to Kyoto, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose this hostel again. It’s a perfect option for solo travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

Friendly service, attendant helped us figure out how to use the stove, nice large room with solid space to put luggage. Decently spacious bathroom. Would be nice if they provided more utensils in the room 1 pair of chopsticks and a single fork is a little limiting. The Japanese beds can be easily folded up to give a serious amount of floor space. Located 50m away from a bus stop is pretty sweet and also directly across the road is a massive grocery/pharmacy store, very much able ro save some money and cook your own meals if need be on top avoiding the konbini prices. Also 100m from a 7/11 so easy access to an atm. Really great deal, we ended up cooking a wicked yakiniku in the room for bargain end of day closing prices on the meat ( photo attached

The hotel lovated is amazing. Only 2 minutes from Nijo Station, and 5 minutes to Co-op Nijo (a supermarket) with huge variety of products. We always bought meals at 09.00 PM and got a 30-50% discount. Very cheap and convenient! The room is surprisingly spacious, not like other hotels in Japan which is small. They have hangers for clothes and we can hang out clothes to dry in the balcony. They have microwave and big refrigerator for our meals. Sadly, too much dust in the room even after they cleaned it🥹 For the amenities like soap, shampoo and conditioner they have it refill every 2 days, but for tooth brush and toothpaste they only gave it to us once. And we have to ask for more in the reception. But it's a really nice experience living in this hotel💕

Location not the best and can find nearer to Kyoto station with same price. The location only good to go Nijojo castle, Toji Temple & Ginkako temple. Nothing much nearby, no night bars only a restaurant opposite it. The worst was no lift, for a female with 20 kg luggage, I have to carry it for 4 levels up and down all by myself. It’s understandable no space to install lift, but pls consider to install a luggage travel lift. Layout of the room is very good especially bath and toilet inside the room. Some may not like it cause ppl may back late night to bath and make noises. But I do like the single room layout with small dress up table before the capsule bed.

The place has an excelente location, easy to get there. The room was cleaned and organized. However, there is no person at the front desk to ask questions or ask for help. The code for entering to the room was sent by SMS, but since we were traveling the service for SMS of our phone company does not work outside our country, so we did not receive the message since we were traveling. They do not have an e-mail address, so the check in instructions could not be send there. When we arrived to the place was late and we found the front desk empty even though we still arrived in the front desk service hours. We had a hard time contacting the hotel but luckily could get some help in calling the administration to get our room number and the code.
