"Beautiful place, stunning room, lovely food and I loooved the forest pool ! Staff couldn’t have helped any more, so polite & friendly.
Only downside was I had to wait until 11pm to catch an overnight bus so asked if a friend could come to the pool with me to enjoy dinner, but was declined. I still loved my stay especially the room and pool. Will stay again !"

"Spent my stay at Joya Hotel Phnom Penh and honestly, it surprised me in the best way. The room was spacious, clean, and felt instantly comfortable — perfect lighting, cozy bed, and a quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day.

"What a disaster this place is.there is a construction site next door that starts at 7 am loud banging and drilling. The $5 breakfast is not worth it somedays its buffett some days its a la carte you never know until ypu front up.None of the restaraunt staff sppeak english .just try asking for a spoon.
The entrance to the hotel is usually blocked with motorcycles .The putside sitting area is also a smoking area bit ashtrays are seldom emtied.
The whole place is a dissapointment if ypu can avoid it."

We asked for half boil egg, they gladly do for us. All staff from the front desk to the breakfast, helpful and friendly. Facilities only a pool but that is not what we go for so is fine. We ae happy with this hotel.

Staff is very friendly and food in the skyward is very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend for business or holiday travel in Phnom Penh.

VVieraskäyttäjäMy stay coincided with the king’s coronation holiday and I was certainly in for treat! Three nights of fireworks, how lucky! I even got to witness a ceremony of sorts from my room window (red carpet and the full works).
The hotel’s location is amazing with unmatched views of the Royal Palace, Wat Botum Park and from the rooftop infinity pool on the 12th floor, a breathtaking view of the river!
Just a short walk on the main road, you’ll find a small Daily Mart with necessities, the victory monument just across the road, and Brown Cafe (it’s not the only branch but it’s the coolest-looking one with a little glass house centre and good cold drip coffee).
While the hotel doesn’t have a gym, Phnom Penh is a relatively walkable city and you can definitely get your steps in while exploring.
Don’t miss the sunset - absolutely stunning from the pool. You can order food from the restaurant (the hotel’s only restaurant on the 11th floor) and they’ll serve it to you poolside.
Breakfast and the food at the hotel’s restaurant is average at best and you’re much better off having it at Brown Cafe just 2 min walk from the hotel, or any of the local eateries nearby.
When I checked in, the hotel upgraded me to a deluxe king room but I noticed a strong smell of turpentine or some chemical sealant that stung my eyes. It was likely from some recent repair works. Turning up the AC and opening the windows solved it.
Bonus points for the bedding - super comfortable. Had the best sleep and there were mornings where I had to pull myself out of bed.
But the best part of this comfortable fuss-free hotel is the warm hospitality and service from the hotel staff. They truly made my stay feel like a home away from home. Special shoutout to Thiya from the front desk for helping me out when I broke a glass in the bathroom, and for his patience with my incessant queries. I’ll certainly be back!

Location is great, a short walk to the King’s Palace and by the riverside promenade.
The roof top restaurant has a great view. The food quality serves are good.

RRobsastarOn this trip I upgraded to one of their apartments and that made my week even more comfortable.. Very spacious, bath, 2 showers 2 toilets, 2 good aircon units and a small balcony overlooking Wat Botum pagoda.
A good family sized fridge freezer meant my drinks, milk meats and cheeses were cold.
Basic utensils but top tip, bring a normal cutlery knife.
Located on 4th floor, I woas treated to a spooky but spectacular lightning show without the rumble of thunder. Stood on balcony and had a fantastic view.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfasts still very good, simple but plenty. However going 'self-catering' allowed me to get my cornflakes and ice cold milk in the morning. Cannot beat that!
Next visit will see me booking an apartment only. So so convenient.
Again, Le Botum was a superb location for me.
Go to street 172. Plenty of expats....some characters too...and a 24hr supermarket called 'Smile' and you will. So much British stuff, it could have been anywhere in the UK.
Book Le Botum. You won't be disappointed.

RRon Joshua LowStayed at Ostro from 19th to 21st Mar. Had a really pleasant stay. My only complaints are that there was no fridge in the room and the shower had little water flow. What made up for the service was the Front Office Night time Receptionist. She was really friendly to my friend & I, she even treated us to a glass of beer on our last night. The day time receptionist was also really friendly & greeted with a smile each time. Such gestures are what make me come back to such establishments!

Additionally, the room was filled with ants everywhere. The hygiene condition definitely has room for improvement. In terms of faculties, the bathroom can’t provide hot water with stable temperatures, i can’t take a shower with hot water around 7ish.
anyway, i still think the hotel quality is matched with the price though, not a bad choice for a short stay

: They have a lift. The room is actually big. It has ac, tv, fridge. They also have slippers provided, aside from the towels and toiletries. The breakfast buffet is nice also.

What can be improved : The door of my room gets stuck and requires a lot of effort to close.
: The water in the shower takes long to drain.

1. Prime Location: The hotel’s location is excellent. I loved being within walking distance of the riverside, the fresh fruit market, and several great restaurants. Having a convenience store nearby was also very helpful.
2. Local Amenities: The proximity to a local laundry shop (with very friendly staff) was a great convenience.
3. Room & Comfort: The bedroom is impressively spacious. I also found the bed linens and towels to be very clean, and the provided toiletries met a high standard.
4. Staff & Facilities: The hotel staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Additionally, the in-room refrigerator worked perfectly throughout my stay.
Areas for Improvement:
1. The Bed: I noticed the bed frame/mattress squeaks quite loudly every time I move. Even as a solo traveler, the noise was a bit distracting.
2. Environment: There was a persistent unpleasant odor near my room. It seemed to be coming from an external source, possibly a nearby canal or drainage area. It might be worth investigating if there is a way to better seal the room or treat the area to improve the air quality for guests.
