"Love this ryokan! The service was just amazing! We arrived the ryokan feeling cold and asked where we could get some heat pads and was told that since the ryokan provides free shuttle to train station, they could send us to convenient store. And before it, the staff came back with some mini heat pads for us to use for the meanwhile. There was also paid shuttle to snow monkey park (500 yen per pax one way) that you can arrange with them. We had a tatami room, it was spacious and the staff came to the room to do the check in and served tea and welcome snack to us. The ryokan guests are entitled to go to nine onsens around the area for free. The ryokan provides yukatas and all necessities for it. The meals were sumptuous and super yummy. Overall, a fantastic ryokan experience for us!"

"從長野市做長野電鐵1個多小時到湯田中站，出站下坡沿路往河邊走，幾分鐘就到，交通便利。酒店位於湯田中温泉鄉的中心位置，酒店規模不大，歷史悠久。13年對房間等設施進行了裝修，房間比較乾淨衞生。一樓有温泉大浴池，三樓還兩個有獨立的私湯，入住時在前台預約，免費使用半小時。早餐晚餐自助，菜品比較豐富，有長野牛肉火鍋，每人限三片，當地蔬菜蘑菇新鮮不限量。下午五點半前，一樓休息處提供關東煮小吃。酒店前有巴士站，可以去地獄谷野猿公園，看雪猴泡温泉，不過班次少，要提前查好時間。"

"I’ve really enjoyed spending the weekend at Anurag’s Tousen. The onsen was amazing (make sure you try them both), the staff were friendly and had great attitude and communication skills, and the breakfast had more and better vegetarian options than I’ve had at high-end hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto."

"From the moment you enter Kokuya Ryokan, be prepared to leave the real world behind and fully immerse yourself in the experience. You swap your shoes for slippers at the door and don’t see them again until you leave. You will receive a warm welcome from polite and gentle-mannered staff, get taken up to your beautiful room, and once you’ve changed into your traditional yukata, it’s time to let the relaxation begin. The multi-course dinner will probably be one of the best meals you’ve had in your life, with many unusual textures and flavors to try. The futons are comfortable, and your room is kept toasty warm. There are even skincare products to keep you pampered and moisturized between soaks in the onsen. Honestly, you won’t even need to open your suitcase while you’re there. The staff will take you through all the logistics when you arrive, but there are some things that might be useful to know in advance. - The ryokan sends a shuttle to Yudanaka station at about 15:00 to collect new arrivals, so time your journey to take advantage of this benefit. - The ryokan also offers guests the opportunity to catch a shuttle to the Snow Monkey Park immediately after breakfast the next morning. - After you leave the ryokan, they will take your luggage down to the coffee shop opposite the station, so you don’t need to worry about those logistics. - Trains from Yudanaka back to Nagano leave at 12:30 and 15:30. - The ryokan itself has several private onsens that you can reserve for a 45-minute slot. Because the onsens are on the property, you can go in with your partner or travel companions regardless of gender. It’s a boutique hotel, so you don’t have to worry about not getting access to all the onsens you want. - The ryokan is on the main road of the Shibu Onsen town. The hotel will give you a key so you can wonder down the main road, visiting any of the public onsens you wish - however, with so many gorgeous and more private onsens in the hotel itself, you probably won’t have time or the desire for this. - Also, there is a coffee machine in the room! (I was worried about having to survive without coffee, and this turned out to be an unfounded concern). We had an incredible and totally indulgent time at Kokuya. Experiencing a traditional ryokan is a privilege that you should try at least once if you can. And adding the Snow Monkeys in give the trip a double purpose, making it that much more memorable. The only thing that would have made the trip better is if we had been allowed to linger longer over every course of our dinner."

"The location of the hotel is close to Yudanaka Station,only 4-minute walk.The twin room is spacious and comfortable,but the area near the window is slightly cold.The onsen is clean and spacious.View woman outdoor onsen ia great,can clearly see the mountains.The kaiseki dinner was very deicious.We are very impressed with Tsubakino Hotel."

"Located just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ”non-smoking”. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!"

"Wanted a traditional ryokan experience and this ryokan ticked all the boxes! Service was so personable, and the food was so so delicious. Rooms were of decent size as well. Can’t recommend this enough. FYI that there is a pickup service from Yudanaka station to the ryokan. They can send you to the monkey park / Yudanaka station in the morning. If you’re going to the snow monkey park, the ryokan can send your luggage to Yudanaka train station (free) so that you can pick it up when you’re heading from the snow monkey park back to Yudanaka."

"Our family made a special trip from Tokyo to Nagano, and besides exploring the surrounding attractions, watching the snow monkeys soaking in the hot springs of Nozawa, and visiting the Togakushi Shrine, the highlight of this trip was staying at Issa no Komichi Biyu no Yado. However, upon arriving in the snowy Yudanaka Shibu Onsen, we were immediately impressed by the warm and professional hospitality. "On 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä junaasemalla, joten ehkä on parempi yrittää ottaa yhteyttä heihin kiitoksia. Paikka on super iso ja 2 ääliöitä. Instagram arvokas yksi, että miehet ja naiset saavat käyttää sitä eri aikoina. suihku aineita ääliöissä ovat keskivaikea mutta. Ei fantasia kasvoa aineita naisille toisin kuin jotkut muut ääliöt tässä hinta-alueella. Meillä oli aamiainen ja illallinen 2 yöksi. Ja hyvää arvoa. Mutta sinun täytyy seurata kiinteä aikataulu ja me tuntui hieman kiireinen, mutta muuten se oli todella hyvä ja palvelu täydellinen. Meillä oli yksi suurimmista huoneista, jonka uskon olevan huone 716. Oli istuimen ja myös unialue. Helppo sopii 8 henkilöä. Olimme vain 2. Päivässä he piti futonit ja toivat ne ulos yöllä. Pyyhkeet vaihtoivat joka yö. On auto, joka menee suoraan Mount Yokoteyaman hiihtokentälle. Receptionist ei näyttänyt tietävän siitä, mutta voit yrittää Google. Se oli kiitollinen matka, jos ostat liftiliput. Käytti vain 30 minuuttia päästä sinne. Voit vuokrata hotellit siellä."

"老闆的英文很好溝通順暢，房間很大有暖氣，乾淨衞生。私湯挺乾淨的，對面就是初之湯。晚上出去泡街上的公共湯體驗很好，下着雪，穿着浴衣也不會冷。 早上老闆送我們去了車站非常感謝。在湯田中渡過了短暫但温暖的一晚。會推薦其他朋友過來的！ The host was great and easy to communicate with, speaking excellent English. The room was big, clean, and warm. The private onsen was nice and clean, and Hatsu-no-Yu was just across the street. We loved soaking in the public onsen at night while it was snowing.feel super warm only wearing the yukata. In the early morning, the host kindly drove us to the station. It was a short but lovely stay in Yudanaka. Highly recommend it to friends!"
