Highly Recommended Stay in Kyoto I would like to strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto. The staff demonstrate exceptional professionalism and hospitality. In particular, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Yuki, who assisted us with our check-in and kindly introduced many wonderful sightseeing spots and activities in Kyoto, as well as to Miss Tsai, a ********* staff member who supported us during check-out with great warmth and care. Their thoughtful service truly reflects the welcoming spirit of Kyoto and the hotel’s commitment to excellence. I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the team members who bring guests happiness and satisfaction through their dedication. They truly deserve recognition and applause for their outstanding service. Our two-night stay was far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

Excellent location just 3 minutes walking distance from Kyoto Station. You can get all toiletries amenities from the lobby, free flow of coffee, tea and soft drinks within a period of time. The room is normal Japanese size, enough for two people but cannot open both 20 inches suitcases at the same time. Cleanliness nothing more to say at this room rate. There has laundry area with few washing machine and dryer but the machine only accept electronic payment , they don’t accept cash and credit card which is reslly not user-friendly for tourists. When I seek the front desk assistance, they told me to go to laundry shop which is 8 mins walking distance. Not far away but we need to carry all the way back and forth. What’s the point of providing laundry service????

Clean, enough space in a room for 1, you get free shirt and pyjamas, they change your towels every day for long stay, free breakfast from the nearby restaurant, common space is nice. Gojo subway station is walking distance. Overall I recommend this for any type of travellers.

Tällä kertaa varasimme huoneen 3 hengelle. Huone ei ollut iso, mutta se ei vaikuttanut jokapäiväiseen elämäämme. Hotelli sijaitsee Sanjossa, Kiotossa, suhteellisen lähellä Shinpōkania. Hotellista kävelee noin 25 minuuttia Shijon vilkkaimmalle alueelle. Hotellin lähellä on Starbucks-valikoimamyymälöitä, 711 supermarketteja jne., joten päivittäisten tarpeiden ostaminen on erittäin kätevää.

Great place to relax and unwind after spending the day in Tokyo!  Staff were extra kind and extremely helpful.  The facilities and decor are top-notch.  The aesthetic of the room was incredibly well thought out - the dimmed lighting makes the room even more relaxing - the hot tub/onsen on the first floor is extremely well maintained and great after walking all day.  There's a nice cafe connected to the lobby and a Family Mart five steps from the hotel entrance. Would highly recommend if you need to be near Kyoto station.

Clean and big room for family stay. There is shuttle bus to nearer railway station. Provide a nice mineral water , nice coffee and good breakfast.

Dear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Excellent place to stay. Free public bath spa in the hotel. Plus: PJs and extra toiletries like makeup remover, cotton pads provided. Lunch: Good lunch buffet with homemade tofu. Value for money. Laundry: Coin machine at 400 yen a cycle. Good value. Venue: Walking distance to huge local supermarket, pharmacy and a nearby neighbourhood mall, BIV. Near the world heritage Nijio Castle. Bus stop just outside. Feels safe in coming back late as the hotel is just next to the main road.

Jäin tänne yksin ystäväni häihin. Sisäänkirjautuminen oli sujuvaa ja kohteliasta. Tila, huone mukaan lukien, oli erittäin puhdas. Kiitos henkilökunnalle. Saunaa voi käyttää myös yleisten kylpylöiden aikana sekä yöllä että aamulla. Sain viettää rentouttavaa aikaa. Ensimmäisen kerroksen aamiaisalue on avoinna iltaisin. Voit käyttää sitä myös töihin jne. Se on yksi monista Kioton asemalta lähtevistä busseista. Alue on hotellirakennusten ympäröimä ja hiljainen. Mielestäni se on hyvä niin matkailulle kuin liiketoiminnalle.

I read a few bad reviews and almost missed out on this hotel! Honestly idk what the ppl who left nasty negative comments are talking about because this hotel is heaven!! There’s soothing piano jazz light Xmas music in the background (shows how much tot went into this hotel! Japanese staff are all so polite and understanding even with abit of language barrier(you can use translator app). Room is cozy! Washer for 300yen and dryer 100 yen! Sauna room and bathhouse with shampoo and hair dryer! And breakfast and dinner is provided? Idk what else I can ask for.!!
