Hotellit aamiaisella kohteessa Jakarta

The room was very spacious for 2 people. Great selection for the ala carte buffet breakfast, with great popcorn latte. Then the pool has a great view of the city with full length pool and jacuzzi. It was very near to the Gelora stadium, where we attended the Blackpink concert. The reception and all personel were friendly and accommodating. Would like to come back if I stay again in Jakarta.

During my stay at Shangri-La Jakarta I faced several issues that, unfortunately, overshadowed the overall experience. I arrived early for check-in, around 13:20, while the official check-in time is 14:00. The front desk staff spent quite some time processing my registration, checked the availability, and told me that my room was ready, but that the key card could only be issued after 14:00. I was asked to wait and was assured that either someone would come to me, or I could return to the desk at that time. I waited until 14:00, but no one approached me. At around 14:05 I went back to the reception. The staff member who had originally checked me in was already busy with another guest, and a different employee started assisting me. He began the whole check-in process from scratch, which felt strange, and it quickly became clear that the room that had initially been mentioned was no longer available and that a new room was being assigned. After I expressed my dissatisfaction, the staff offered an “upgrade” from a Deluxe Room to a Horizon Club Room as a way of compensation. In practice, however, the new room was on a lower floor and did not differ in any noticeable way from the Deluxe category in terms of layout, view or amenities. The benefits of the Horizon Club were not explained to me, so I did not actually use any additional services. As a result, the so-called upgrade felt more like a formality than a real improvement. The condition of the room itself was generally good. The air conditioning was quiet, there were no unpleasant smells from the bathroom, and the room looked clean and well maintained. A serious concern for me was the drinking water provided in the room. Large glass bottles were supplied regularly, but the water in them had a strong smell of chlorine and was simply not suitable for drinking. After the hotel contacted me asking if I had any comments, I mentioned this issue. Only then did they start bringing smaller bottles of water that no longer had this smell. This creates the impression that guests are initially given water of questionable quality and that the problem is addressed only when someone complains. Another recurring issue was the smell of cigarette smoke. My room was non-smoking, and the floor was non-smoking as well, yet from time to time the smell of tobacco appeared in the room, most likely coming through the ventilation. After I reported this, an air freshener was placed in the corridor, but it was removed the next day, and the smell returned. It gives the impression that someone is smoking in areas where it is not allowed, and guests are affected by it. Breakfast was also disappointing. The restaurant where breakfast is served is organized in a very inconvenient way: you are first shown to your table, but the buffet stations are arranged rather chaotically, so after walking around to get food it is easy to lose track of where your table is. Navigation is not intuitive, and the overall atmosphere is not very comfortable. The food itself did not seem particularly tasty and appeared to be more focused on Asian preferences than on a broader, international audience. I also visited the lobby restaurant. I tried several dishes there, including a bolognese pasta that was frankly not very good. For comparison, in the nearby shopping mall you can find places that serve the same dish in a much better way and at a lower price. If you look only at the condition of the rooms, the hotel appears to be of a good standard. However, the level of service, the breakfast experience and the overall value for money, in my opinion, do not match the status that the hotel aims to project. The price of the stay feels high compared to other similar hotels in Jakarta, where both service and food quality can be better while the rates are lower.

We stayed in the Executive Suite at Citadines and really enjoyed our time there. The skyline view is beautiful, especially at night, and the suite is spacious, modern, and very comfortable. When our smart TV stopped working, the staff responded immediately and brought us a brand new TV within a very short time, which was impressive. Because of how comfortable everything was, we ended up extending our stay by two more weeks. Great service, great view, and excellent overall experience. We would gladly stay here again.

New try in Jakarta and another apartment type room. Plenty of space but a bit dated and rough on the edges. Location is quite allright and plenty f&b options around or within a short ride. Good cleaning and no street noise, but a bit thin walls to screaming tantrum kid next door. Breakfast spread was good and nice and helpful staff. This was a step up from Manhattan down the street but still not the greatest value for money. Will keep it on the list for next time but might also try another option.

The location is a big plus. Set right in the heart of the city, next to Grand Indonesia and Thamrin City Mall, it’s extremely convenient, especially for anyone who enjoys shopping or wants everything within walking distance. Arrival was pleasant, with a warm welcome from the staff. They were very helpful and consistently courteous, with special attention shown to senior citizens, which was appreciated. We booked a two bedroom apartment, which was very spacious and practical. The unit is well equipped for longer stays, with a washing machine, water dispenser, microwave, and a full set of kitchen utensils, making it easy to manage daily routines. The decor, however, feels a bit dated, and I did notice a slight odour, likely from furniture that could use a deeper clean. The bedding was acceptable. The mattress was comfortable enough, but the pillows were too soft for my liking and didn’t provide much support. The bathroom experience was much better. The shower was excellent with good water pressure and reliable hot water. Toiletries were complete and pleasantly scented, with a spa like aromatherapy feel. One downside was the bath towel, which felt worn out and unusually small, closer to the size of a bath mat than a proper towel. Breakfast was decent but not extensive. It covered the basics and was sufficient, though nothing particularly memorable. Overall, Ascott Jakarta works well for longer stays with family, mainly due to its spacious apartments and unbeatable central location. With some updates to furnishings and linens, the stay could be significantly improved.

Stayed for a night only in exec room, coz my cousin had her wedding party in the Tribrata nearby this hotel...the hotel room was cozy and comfy...breakfast menu was excellent and my family loves it ...thanks Sutasoma Hotel!!!

Room looks pretty old, but it is maintained well. Spotlessly clean. Great value for money and situated in the heart of Jakarta. Easy access to Casablanca mall. Just short walk away from the hotel. Breakfast buffet is okay. Loved their ginger tea, but lacking some varieties for vegetarians. Coild improve vegetarian options. Overall, had a pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staffs.

Aircond cold enough at all area. Very nice hotel to stay. Only location in city traffic jam. Good price for this standard.

Located somewhere in central jakarta so it’s easy enough to travel around. The room is large which is great and the staffs are also really nice and helpful. Unfortunately, there was a mosquito on my first night there and the water filter did not have water on our last day. Overall, really nice place to stay.

I came here for business visit, the location was great, near Grand Plaza, all tourist spot was walking distance only. But the price of this hotel does not match with what u get. It cost me around RM400++ which i can get more comfiest hotel in Kuala Lumpur. This hotel does not have proper lobby, no waiting lounge if i ordered grab, because u know, Jakarta was jammed all the time, so u need at least decent chair to wait. The room just a standard room only. U can hear your neighbour flush their toilet and chatting, and screaming , that’s why i said the room does not match the price. U can add little money more and stay at another comfy hotel nearby.
