"Loved the location, which is within short walking distance to the Galle lighthouse. But what I loved the most was the modern interiors of this Art Deco building . Our room was well designed and clean, complete with a bathtub and lovely marble finishing. I personally felt that the bed was one of the most comfortable I experienced during my week in Sri Lanka. I also enjoyed the sunset views from the rooftop bar and the pool, even though a little small was great for cooling down after exploring the old town on foot. My only comment would be that the shower amenities weren't in a good place, could easily slip during shower time. Breakfast had an option of either local fare (to be prebooked) and western fare which was tasty. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Sri Lanka."

"Very nice quality of hotel. Most staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, especially restaurant staff and a very helpful guy called Malindu. Other staff, like house keeping, need further training and should aim to provide better service for a hotel of this quality."

"Ох... Этот отель просто влюбил в себя!!! Фото не прикладываю, потому что они реальные в профиле отеля. Вот все как есть! Мы были в люксе 4 для на 3 этаже и это действительно лучший отель Шри. Очень атмосферно и продуманно , глазки радуются каждой мелочи. Обслуживание: заселили раньше времени и быстро, убирались в номере 2 раза в день!!!!! , бассейн чистый, еда в ресторане вкусная , но дорогая. Да океан здесь не спокойный, но если вы на машине или на байке то 10 или 20 минут в разные стороны и либо Унаватуна либо Велигма или Мирисса (тук тук также доставит ). Рестораны также есть в шаговой доступности. Я второй раз на Шри и есть с чем сравнить, поэтому очень советую. Отель стоит своих денег, не обычный сетевой и не убитый местный. Мы вернёмся сюда 100% Аааа и на 3м этаже обалденное патио с лежаками, просто огромное,этот бонус просто пушка"

"Hotel encantador en el corazón de Galle Fort. Todo el personal es muy educados y atento, siempre con una gran sonrisa en la cara. Hotel tipo boutique de estilo colonial. Las habitaciones son amplias y cuentan con todo lo necesario para que tu estancia sea completa. Baño moderno con ducha. El patio hace que puedas sentirte en yn biente totalmente relajado y tranquilo. Es si duda, un hotel para recomendar y volver a hospedarse. La relación calidad-precio es muy buena. Toda la zona mantiene un ambiente colonial, con innumerables restaurantes y tiendas de souvenirs. Gracias por una estancia muy buena."

"From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff at the reception desk, and our positive impression continued when we saw our room. It was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean and a perfect space to relax in. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm dipped when we looked out the window. We had eagerly anticipated the sea view we booked, but found ourselves on the first floor looking directly onto the main path to the restaurant. The lack of both a view and privacy was a real disappointment. The challenges were compounded by a local festival taking place during our stay. This rendered the beach unusable due to the sheer volume of people. Worse, the road closures made leaving the hotel a logistical headache, leaving us feeling a bit trapped. A final frustration was discovering there were no shops nearby and no convenience store in the hotel itself, so be sure to pack everything you might need. In summary, while we can't fault the hotel on its cleanliness or the friendliness of its staff, the experience was significantly hampered by the room mix-up and the festival chaos. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it was far from the relaxing getaway we had planned."

"We were first given a room with a view on the bar and swimming pool, just next to the second floor open terrace which was awful in terms of privacy. Fortunately we were changed to a room on the far East of the old building and the view as fantastic.. the room was old but well maintained. The problem was the terrace door was not sound proof and we learnt at night how bothersome it would be. Because you see, our room was just above the restaurant that gives directly to the sea where waves crash on the rocks. Impossible to have a quiet night. Light sleepers better choose a room in the swimming pool area. Food was ok. Service as everywhere in SriLanka was slow and not very responsive. You had to ask twice for hot water or something. We expected more for a 5 stars. We tried the restaurant next to the spa on our last night and service was great there. The pizza at the pizza restaurant next to the pool was very good. Location of the hotel was great, a 5 min by tuktuk to the castle. Unfortunately, everything was almost perfect until the day we left. We realized the hotel has a monopoly on all the taxi and tuktuk that come and leave the hotel. As I couldn't book a car on Uber or kangaroo cab, we just asked a driver who just dropped a group of people if we could hire him and he was ok but the hotel staff interrupted us and sent him away because they asked us to choose from their drivers which was completely absurd. We insisted on using this driver so they entered in a negotiation with the driver to get a cut on the fees. Apparently these are common practices in 5 star hotels. A total mafia style management. Outrageous. And in the hotel room, you have a biography of the founder that highlight his ambition to highlight Sri Lankan hospitality. I encourage him to take a look in the mirror. For that I would not recommend this place, especially during winter vacation when prices are half a grand for 2 nights!"

"Really enjoyed my stay at Hikka Tranz. I had full board and the food had plenty of options and was very good. Cocktails at the beach bar were affordable and really tasty. I would not recommend ordering food there though, it was expensive and not nice. The gym does not have air conditioning, but overall a great place to relax."

"這家酒店非常有藝術氣息，視野也很無敵，而且早餐很美味。 我們在這家酒店衹住一晚，第一天晚上到加勒城裡吃了，又貴味道又一般，第二天早上在酒店吃早餐的時候才得知酒店餐廳是米其林餐廳，很後悔前一天晚上沒有在酒店用餐。 非常推薦這家酒店，以後如果再來加勒旅遊，應該還會入住這家酒店的。"

"As an experienced business and leisure traveller, I was very disappointed with this hotel, which is definitely not five star. The rooms are shabby and very few of the staff are properly trained or can understand English. We booked a Delux and were given a damp dark room in the basement with a caterpillar in the shower. We insisted on changing rooms but the only available room was a suite (a nice spacious room with private pool) which cost us an additional $100. The buffet was ok, with some good Indian options, but not outstanding or very extensive. Front desk staff were generally unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome. I do not recommend staying here unless you can get a huge discount and are happy with a mediocre hotel."
