"We booked two rooms and stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out . The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was good, with enough variety, and it was a nice way to start each morning. A special mention to Leonard for New Year’s Eve. He invited us, together with other guests, to join a karaoke gathering. It was fun, relaxed, and a great way to welcome the New Year. New Year BBQ was also enjoyable. The food was tasty, especially the BBQ squid (cumi) and chicken satay, which we really enjoyed. Special thanks as well to the General Manager for his kindness and warm hospitality. It truly made our stay more memorable. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We felt welcome and would gladly stay here again."

"Free shuttle even at midnight! Very good communication and quick to arrive. All staff were extremely friendly and polite. The hotel room was lovely, very clean (and I am very picky!) with freshly-washed linens. Large bathroom with great hot shower. Very quiet place despite being so close to the airport. Nothing negative to say; it was a 100% positive stay and I would highly recommend. Shuttle back to the airport was right on time and despite having a lot of people, it went quickly and we were at the airport in only five minutes. "

"Location is good. it's near to the airport.... staff is good...... outside there are no food d points... although they have some snacks and instant noodles at the reception u can buy.... there is a free shuttle to the airport but only up to 1pm. after that u have to pay 55000 IDR and they will drop u. there is not tooth brush and tooth paste. room is enough for a short stay and for one person. they will provide u breakfast for 50000 IDR but honestly I didn't like that. Rice was too salty and chicken was not cooked properly... I booked room with river view but it wasn't like that.... overall it was clean... WiFi was working well.... they provide wake up call...."

"Located in a strategic place in Jakarta, the hotel facilities are really good, from dining, swimming pool etc, one thing the most important is the hotel is just next too the ciputra mall so its very convenient to shop or just to find something to eat there. The staffs are really helpful and polite, no problem at all with the check-in/out process. Only there's some minor things need to improve, in the morning we went to the swimming pool area 7am with my kids and there's already some people there smoking and vapes in the Bar area, don't know if that place is smoking area, i think the hotel need to setup a proper smoking/vapes area not in the swimming pool area because it is outdoor."

Then the pool has a great view of the city with full length pool and jacuzzi. It was very near to the Gelora stadium, where we attended the Blackpink concert. The reception and all personel were friendly and accommodating. Would like to come back if I stay again in Jakarta.

QQAComplianceAuditorDuring my stay at Shangri-La Jakarta I faced several issues that, unfortunately, overshadowed the overall experience. I arrived early for check-in, around 13:20, while the official check-in time is 14:00. The front desk staff spent quite some time processing my registration, checked the availability, and told me that my room was ready, but that the key card could only be issued after 14:00. I was asked to wait and was assured that either someone would come to me, or I could return to the desk at that time. I waited until 14:00, but no one approached me. At around 14:05 I went back to the reception. The staff member who had originally checked me in was already busy with another guest, and a different employee started assisting me. He began the whole check-in process from scratch, which felt strange, and it quickly became clear that the room that had initially been mentioned was no longer available and that a new room was being assigned. After I expressed my dissatisfaction, the staff offered an “upgrade” from a Deluxe Room to a Horizon Club Room as a way of compensation. In practice, however, the new room was on a lower floor and did not differ in any noticeable way from the Deluxe category in terms of layout, view or amenities. The benefits of the Horizon Club were not explained to me, so I did not actually use any additional services. As a result, the so-called upgrade felt more like a formality than a real improvement. The condition of the room itself was generally good. The air conditioning was quiet, there were no unpleasant smells from the bathroom, and the room looked clean and well maintained. A serious concern for me was the drinking water provided in the room. Large glass bottles were supplied regularly, but the water in them had a strong smell of chlorine and was simply not suitable for drinking. After the hotel contacted me asking if I had any comments, I mentioned this issue. Only then did they start bringing smaller bottles of water that no longer had this smell. This creates the impression that guests are initially given water of questionable quality and that the problem is addressed only when someone complains. Another recurring issue was the smell of cigarette smoke. My room was non-smoking, and the floor was non-smoking as well, yet from time to time the smell of tobacco appeared in the room, most likely coming through the ventilation. After I reported this, an air freshener was placed in the corridor, but it was removed the next day, and the smell returned. It gives the impression that someone is smoking in areas where it is not allowed, and guests are affected by it. Breakfast was also disappointing. The restaurant where breakfast is served is organized in a very inconvenient way: you are first shown to your table, but the buffet stations are arranged rather chaotically, so after walking around to get food it is easy to lose track of where your table is. Navigation is not intuitive, and the overall atmosphere is not very comfortable. The food itself did not seem particularly tasty and appeared to be more focused on Asian preferences than on a broader, international audience. I also visited the lobby restaurant. I tried several dishes there, including a bolognese pasta that was frankly not very good. For comparison, in the nearby shopping mall you can find places that serve the same dish in a much better way and at a lower price. If you look only at the condition of the rooms, the hotel appears to be of a good standard. However, the level of service, the breakfast experience and the overall value for money, in my opinion, do not match the status that the hotel aims to project. The price of the stay feels high compared to other similar hotels in Jakarta, where both service and food quality can be better while the rates are lower.

Set right in the heart of the city, next to Grand Indonesia and Thamrin City Mall, it’s extremely convenient, especially for anyone who enjoys shopping or wants everything within walking distance. Arrival was pleasant, with a warm welcome from the staff. They were very helpful and consistently courteous, with special attention shown to senior citizens, which was appreciated. We booked a two bedroom apartment, which was very spacious and practical. The unit is well equipped for longer stays, with a washing machine, water dispenser, microwave, and a full set of kitchen utensils, making it easy to manage daily routines. The decor, however, feels a bit dated, and I did notice a slight odour, likely from furniture that could use a deeper clean. The bedding was acceptable. The mattress was comfortable enough, but the pillows were too soft for my liking and didn’t provide much support. The bathroom experience was much better. The shower was excellent with good water pressure and reliable hot water. Toiletries were complete and pleasantly scented, with a spa like aromatherapy feel. One downside was the bath towel, which felt worn out and unusually small, closer to the size of a bath mat than a proper towel. Breakfast was decent but not extensive. It covered the basics and was sufficient, though nothing particularly memorable. Overall, Ascott Jakarta works well for longer stays with family, mainly due to its spacious apartments and unbeatable central location. With some updates to furnishings and linens, the stay could be significantly improved.

VVieraskäyttäjäRoom looks pretty old, but it is maintained well. Spotlessly clean. Great value for money and situated in the heart of Jakarta. Easy access to Casablanca mall. Just short walk away from the hotel. Breakfast buffet is okay. Loved their ginger tea, but lacking some varieties for vegetarians. Coild improve vegetarian options. Overall, had a pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staffs.

Unfortunately, there was a mosquito on my first night there and the water filter did not have water on our last day. Overall, really nice place to stay.

ZZeeMyI came here for business visit, the location was great, near Grand Plaza, all tourist spot was walking distance only. But the price of this hotel does not match with what u get. It cost me around RM400++ which i can get more comfiest hotel in Kuala Lumpur. This hotel does not have proper lobby, no waiting lounge if i ordered grab, because u know, Jakarta was jammed all the time, so u need at least decent chair to wait. The room just a standard room only. U can hear your neighbour flush their toilet and chatting, and screaming , that’s why i said the room does not match the price. U can add little money more and stay at another comfy hotel nearby.

SSook Wan LeeI stayed for two nights. Unfortunately, the room was extremely dim and smell of smoke, even though I had specifically requested a non-smoking room. It seemed like they tried to mask the smoke with air freshener, but the combination made it worse. Although it was supposed to be a non-smoking floor, there were ashtrays provided in the room and near the lift, which directly contradicts the no-smoking policy. To add to the discomfort, I found two baby cockroaches in my room — surprising and unpleasant, especially considering the room was on the 18th floor. The only redeeming part of my stay was the excellent customer service — the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

JJettLamstayed at Yuan Garden Pasar Baru Hotel during my trip to Jakarta and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience. The location is excellent—it’s right in Central Jakarta, so I could easily walk to Pasar Baru for some shopping and local food, and big landmarks like Istiqlal Mosque and the Cathedral were just a short ride away. Having the train station nearby was also convenient for exploring other parts of the city. The hotel itself feels modern and welcoming. My room was spacious, clean, and had all the basics I needed—comfortable bed, good air-conditioning, and a nice view of the city.
