"A lovely hotel in a very accessible area. We came to the hotel from the ferry port of Marseille, only a few minutes drive away and left the hotel the next morning needing the A7 Road which was very close by. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are super clean with very functional bathroom including a bath tub. The free continental breakfast buffet from 7am is a great bonus with a nice few options and coffee. Underground parking was available at €15 per night. I highly recommend Toyoko Inn Marseille."

"The location is excellent just across Gare Marseille St. Charles. Hotel room is spacious, with AC, hair dryer and electric kettle. Linen is very clean. Bathroom is very neat. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast served with various types of cold cut, cereals, bakeries, fruit salad, juice, milk, soy milk, coffee. I stayed for 3 nights and breakfast menu throughout was the same. No bottled water was provided in the room but it wasn't an issue to us. Free water machine is provided at the hotel lobby.Room wasn't tided up daily but I trust they are willing to do so if guests requested. Overall it was a pleasant stay and will recommend to friends."

"Hotel has nice decorated hall, bar and private parking. Staff at the reception was polite and often did their best answering our requests, but sometimes they were more eager to explain us all the rules and cared not much. Bar closed around 10 pm. It was not a restaurant, most of the dishes from menu were absent and there were not much to eat at all. There were no bathrobe and slippers which is pretty not standard for 4 star hotel. Breakfast was not good. Everyday was one sort of ham, sausages and scrambled eggs, croissants and yogurt with fruits. It always ended at 10. Not even longer on weekend. Staff at the breakfast was so arrogant. I felt superfluous. Cleaning was okey, but very chaotic, they always forgot black tea or towel or paper or etc. Always pushing reading lights into pillows - this is crazy. Room, bed, pillows, bathroom, tea facilities were convenient. Nice pictures of Marseilles, nice colors of the furniture. A/c was good, but not the coldest, though we were in the hot period where it was 40 outside. Windows are not big, no balconies, so it is a little bit gloomy. Shower and wc worked good. There was grocery shop just around the corner and shopping mall. Hotel has strange location though everything seems close on the map, in fact we never walked even to the Old Port, because for us it was too much walking. But it was convenient to use a car with private parking. This made our trip really good."

"Second stay at this hotel. Convenient for when traveling to / from the cruise port or airport. The hotel itself is very nice, small but great character and good facilities. We had a double floor mezzanine family room. Great room with comfy beds, clean, good amenities and nice bathroom, fridge, coffee machine etc so everything you need. There are two big downsides to this hotel that are out of their control. The old big French doors / windows look great but are not good at all for sound. We were on the 5th floor and heard cars, sirens, mopeds and people until the early hours and this does impact sleep. The second thing is the area, not a pleasant place at night. Lots of Homeless, rough sleepers and not a welcoming place. For us, simply going there to sleep and be comfortable and have a nice room it was good and we’d stay again, but it is expensive when you consider the area and noise at night vs some other better located hotels in Marseille"

"Personnel disponible. Nous avons pu avoir notre chambre avant l’heure. Chambre propre. Pratique: Des carafes d’eau sont mises à disposition dans un frigo près de l’accueil. Il y’a un bar et une carte pour dîner. Parking couvert et payant: 10€ par nuit. Seul bémol nous concernant: nous avons eu chaud dans la nuit et voulions mettre la clim. Elle ne fonctionnait pas. Le lendemain, nous avons été à l’accueil. Il nous a été expliqué que tout l’hôtel était programmé en ce moment sur le chauffage et pas encore sur la clim."

PPoodleOBaileyThe InterContinental Marseille is undoubtedly the best luxury hotel in Marseille. Housed in a converted historical hospital, it offers a unique and charming ambiance. The breakfast served at the Terrace boasts breathtaking views and includes delicious freshly made waffles and refreshing orange juice. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the beds are luxuriously comfortable. However, upon our late arrival at 11pm, we were disappointed to find only cold sandwiches available for room service.

WWilliamgray81This place is nice for a night. Not really near anything of importance, but if needing a place to stay before heading to the airport it's ideal. Near some restaurants in a seemingly dodgy part of town. The parking is a bit odd. I got stuck in the private parking for the apartment complex next door. When going into the parking stay to the left side. There's a nice pool and dining area to relax. Rooms are of great size and comfort. Very affordable in terms of a Crowne Plaza. Very good staff, was given a free upgrade. I highly recommend.

NNat 李凤临Cleaning ladies were demonstrating 53 days in front of the hotel when I arrived. The rotating door was covered with mud and confetti, while the black women danced to loud African beats. A complete shock! They continued during my stay… The front desk was super helpful after I contacted their manager. My flight was delayed and I arrived a day late so they managed to modify my reservation without extra payment. My card didn’t work so I gave a cash deposit and they sent me an email when my suitcase that had been delayed arrived (so as not to wake me up). The housekeeping was average- twice they didn’t restock the water. Once they forgot a cleaning chemical. Another time they didn’t restock the decaffeinated capsules. Also they could have been more generous with the toilet paper. It’s the very thin recycled one, that goes fast. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant spacious, with a garden overlooking the marina. The room was large, modern and quiet, with an amazing view of the harbor, including both sunsets and sunrises! I even saw the incredible half an hour long fireworks for Bastille day right under my window! The bed is big and comfortable, pillows a bit too soft, lighting is good but there are no toiletries (which was initially problematic due to the lost luggage). Room service wasn’t available the only night that I wanted to order it - due to Bastille day celebrations. The QR code don’t work on my phone so I had to call the reception to order. Also there was no alcoholic drinks listed, plus I had no fridge in the room, so I couldn’t fully relax and enjoy my holiday. The hotel doesn’t have a spa, which is a shame. So I made a reservation online and got a massage in the Hammam spa a few minutes from the hotel)very expensive and not great). The closest one to the hotel was closed. The pool is gorgeous but in another building which requires another elevator to be taken at the ground floor. A bit of a hassle…The gym is basic but good. Gets pretty busy and dirty at the end of the day. There are many nice restaurants nearby and even a small Proxi shop. There is a bus stop 1min away, that goes to the Terrace du Port. And the taxi conveniently dropped me off right in front of the hotel. The Mucem and Cosquer caves visible from the hotel, are a bit pleasant 25min walk away and the well worth the visit. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and would come again if the above issues were resolved.

VVieraskäyttäjäDefinitely a basic room but the linens were clean, pillows comfy, water pressure and temperature were good and pump soap was handy by the sink and in the shower so that was all fine. Unfortunately the TV didn't work and the air conditioner wasn't robust enough for such warm weather. Otherwise, the facility seemed safe, the front counter always seemed to be attended, and the location was very close to the old port and metro, and there was a civic parking lot within easy walking distance.

VVieraskäyttäjäWe stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright. We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue. The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough. If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us. We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

AAlen KHôtel cosy, services et accueil au point. Chambre attribuée: grande désillusion en raison du bruit infernal. Mobilier disproportionné dans cette petite chambre par ailleurs charmante . Parties communes soignées, tableau déco de bon goût. Propreté irréprochable

VV W HThis hotel has an absolutely amazing breakfast, it was included with the price we paid for our three nights of stay but one can pay ten euros per person per day for it. TOTALLY worth it, there were two hot food, we thought it was Continental Breakfast but there was so much food, we didn't even need to have lunch. There is this machine where you squeeze your own orange juice and it was FUN as you actually DIY!!! So many bread and croissants, pain au chocolat ... there was also organic milk, all local organic jams/spreads and a very nice espresso or coffee machine you can get hot chocolate and Cafe au Lait! You can make your own hard/medium/soft boiled egg! The service was great, the man at the front desk was very helpful and introduced me to places in the Marseille region that I can visit nearby. Room was small but I didn't come to Marseille to stay in a hotel room, water in the shower was hot and wifi works well! I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Marseille!!!

VVieraskäyttäjäHotelli on myös erittäin ystävällinen ja tervetullut, ja me arvostamme sitä.   Me olimme kuitenkin melko pettyneitä yhteisten alueiden puhtaudesta. Hallit johtava polku ei tyhjentynyt useita päiviä, ja käytössä puuvillan lautas pysyi siellä kolme päivää ennen poistamista. Tämä antoi yleisen vaikutelman laiminlyönnistä.   Huonemme oli tilava ja mukava, mutta pesu- ja pyyhkeet olivat pukeutuneet ja tarvitsivat korvausta. Se parantaisi kokemusta huomattavasti, jos ne uudistettaisiin. Lisäksi käytävä olisi voitu pitää yllä ja puhdistaa huolellisesti perushygieniastandardien noudattamiseksi.
