Roomy hotel near the Belvedere in Vienna. Walkable to the city center for access to sights of the city. Close to a metro station to get to far flung destinations or to catch a train to all of Europe.

Positives:The location of the hotel is wonderful. You can walk to everywhere in city center. Also the train station where the train comes from airport is 3 minutes to walk. Negatives: The bed was a little old, right side was softer. Check in time should be 14.00. 16.00 is late for tired passengers. Overall 9:10

From the very first moment, the welcoming and diligent staff displayed a high level of professionalism and warmth, setting a hospitable tone that persisted throughout my stay. The check-in was efficient and cordial, indicative of the seamless service that is a hallmark of Melia Vienna. The accommodation was a masterpiece of comfort and sophisticated design, with plush bedding and cutting-edge amenities, creating an ambiance of tranquility and luxury. The meticulous cleanliness and upkeep of both the room and the communal areas spoke volumes about the hotel’s commitment to excellence. Austria Trend Hotel Schönbrunn Wien was absolutely gorgeous. The ambience was warm and inviting, and its location—right in front of Schönbrunn Palace—made it a wonderful choice for those visiting the palace. There were plenty of nearby shops and cafes, which added to the convenience. However, if you’re planning to do sightseeing in the main city, transportation is something to consider. You’d either need to take a taxi (about 15–20 minutes) or a tram (around 45 minutes). So, while this hotel is perfect for a Schönbrunn-focused stay, it might not be the most convenient base for exploring the entire city. The staff were friendly, but one issue stood out—housekeeping. On our morning of departure, cleaning staff knocked on our door around 10–11 AM, seemingly checking when we would be leaving. Since checkout was at 12 noon, it felt like they were unnecessarily rushing us, which was a bit frustrating. Another concern arose after checkout. We left our luggage near the baggage room at reception to explore more, and upon returning, the staff couldn’t locate our bags—even though we had the receipt given by the staff when we dropped them off. Instead, we were asked to search through the luggage ourselves in a room full of other guests’ belongings. This didn’t feel very secure, as it seemed possible for someone to mistakenly—or even intentionally—take another person’s bags. Better monitoring or improved staff training in this area would certainly enhance the experience. Despite these issues, the hotel was lovely, and the staff were welcoming overall. With a few improvements in housekeeping procedures and baggage storage security, this could be an even better place to stay.

The hotel is in the perfect location for all the major sites. Everything is walkable. There are a vast selection of eateries close by to suit every pocket. The Plachutta’s  Neu Markt (next door) serves the best Wiener Schnitzel …especially  if you don’t want to walk far after a late arrival.  The hotel itself is very clean and functional. The Reception staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Ask for a high floor to avoid any late night street noise. Note: the cathedral bells toll at 7am for early Mass but for us it added to our stay in the heart of this stunning city.

Probably our favourite hotel ever, everything was perfect - room was spacious, modern and clean, staff were super friendly and the breakfast was fantastic too. The option to forego housekeeping in exchange for a drink at the bar is a great idea, especially if you’re only staying a few nights. Really couldn’t fault this hotel, highly recommend.

The hotel is easy to get to from the airport and city centre via public transport. Nothing too fancy in this neighbourhood but it felt safe. There's a supermarket next door for your daily supply. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean and spacious with all necessary amenities. Overall good value for a few days city break.

🏨🚇🥐🧼🏙️ I think the hotel is in a very well-connected area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main bus and train terminal and just a short metro ride into Old Town for all your sightseeing needs. The room was spacious with solid housekeeping and a clean, well-kept bathroom. No complaints regarding cleanliness — everything was taken care of. One thing to note is that the hotel is massive. We were given the very last room at the end of a long corridor, which meant it took nearly five minutes to walk to the elevator. So when you check in, I recommend asking for a room closer to the elevator, otherwise it can be a bit of a hassle going back and forth. Something that left a bad taste was only being told at checkout that breakfast would be charged as an extra. My honest tip is that if you do decide to have breakfast, just don’t mention it. With the number of guests they manage, it’s unlikely they’ll track who actually showed up at the buffet. The breakfast itself was average — your typical hotel spread. The eggs tasted a bit off, but I made it work with multiple cappuccinos from the machine, plus some sausages and toast to fill up. Overall, nothing fancy, but probably great value considering how expensive Vienna can be. Most importantly, the hotel is very well connected to public transit, with a metro station just a five-minute walk away. That line has frequent trains to and from Old Town, which made sightseeing super convenient. I’ll probably stay here again, though I don’t think the breakfast is worth the price, and I do wish they had been more upfront about the cost from the beginning. Did you find this review helpful? ❤️

Отличное место, приятный отель рядом со старым городом. Также имеет круглосуточный бар что выручает когда все заведения в округе закрыты но нужно посидеть с друзьями. В номерах также есть колонки Marshal, можно слушать музыку, такого нигде не встречал.

It's OK place to stay a night or 2, would be good if I could apply for car parking at the time of booking because I didn't see the option. Bus and Tram stations are right there and Metro is 6-7min walk from the hotel. Room was clean and staff was really helpful. I can recommend.
