Evening food stalls, countless restaurants, and every major beauty store are right at your doorstep. * **Accessibility:** A 10-15 minute walk gets you to the Namdaemun Market, and it's an easy taxi or subway ride to Insadong, Bukchon, and Ikseon-dong. **First Impression & Lobby: (★★★★☆)** The entrance is modern and understated—you could almost miss it if not for the discreet signage. Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a calming scent, sleek dark wood, and a sophisticated, quiet atmosphere. The check-in process was swift and conducted by wonderfully polite, multi-lingual staff. The lobby is small but beautiful, setting the tone for the entire stay. **The Room: (★★★★☆)** * **Design & Cleanliness:** The room embodied modern Japanese minimalism—clean lines, warm wood tones, and intelligent use of space. It was spotlessly clean. The amenities were high-quality, with lovely Japanese toiletries. * **Size:** As expected in a prime Seoul location, the room was compact but brilliantly designed. For a solo traveler or a couple with one large suitcase, it was perfectly comfortable. Two large suitcases might have felt a bit tight. The “smart bathroom” with its multi-function toilet and deep soak tub was a fantastic luxury in a small space. * **View & Noise:** We had a room facing the interior courtyard/other buildings, which was very quiet. Street-facing rooms might get some nighttime buzz from Myeongdong, but the double-glazed windows are excellent. * **Bed:** The bed was firm and very comfortable, with high-quality linens. **Amenities & Services: (★★★★☆)** * **Breakfast:** We tried the breakfast once. It’s a delightful mix of Korean, Japanese, and Western options in a beautiful, light-filled dining room. The quality was excellent (the miso soup and grilled fish were highlights), but it is on the pricier side. * **Facilities:** No pool or gym, which some might miss. However, the 2nd-floor lounge area is a lovely, quiet space to relax with complimentary tea and coffee. * **Service:** Impeccable. Staff were always helpful, from storing luggage before check-in to providing directions and calling taxis. The turndown service was a nice touch. **Value for Money: (★★★★☆)** This is not a budget hotel, but you are paying for the premium location, outstanding cleanliness, refined atmosphere, and excellent service. For what it offers, it feels like good value within the upscale-midrange category.

Very pleasant hotel was impressed with the housekeeping outstanding services and the exceptional service provided by the front desk agent and GM of the hotel. When I realised I had left my cap behind, they immediately assisted me with genuine concern and efficiency. Within minutes, they located my item and ensured it was returned to me without any hassle. Their prompt response, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile reflect outstanding customer care and made me feel valued as a guest.

It’s a wonderful and comfortable hotel, I had a great one week stay there, hotel is within walking distance to a few bus stops and one train station, and it’s also walkable (although slightly far) to Gwangjang Market. There’s a few convenience stores, restaurants, cafes and one laundromat nearby. Free breakfast provided is delicious, staff are very friendly and patient. They also provide bottled water throughout my stay. Slight annoyance is the bed in my room is not very stable and slides around, but other than that everything else was perfect.

This is my 2nd time staying at this wonderful hotel. The hotel cleanliness is top notch. Especially their toilet and bathtub. It is very clean and there is no unpleasant toilet smell unlike other hotels. Your room will be clean up everyday with new towels replaced. The hotel is just walking distance to the train station which will link you directly to all the tourist hotspots. The hotel staff at the counter was also very friendly and they can speak good english without having to do google translate.  I just hope the next time i come, the TV channel can be up and working as mine did not work previously. Other than that, it is worth every cents to stay at this hotel. Keep it up. 👍👍

I just got back from an amazing stay at the Aloft Hotel in Gangnam. First off, let me tell you about the beds. Wow! I have never slept that well in a hotel before. The bed was super comfy, and I just sank into it every night. Honestly, it made falling asleep a breeze after all the exploring The location couldn't be better, either. There are a bunch of convenience stores right nearby, so I could grab snacks or drinks whenever I wanted. Plus, there are tons of restaurants around! Whether you're craving some delicious Korean BBQ or something a little different, you have options galore. The vibe of the hotel is really cool, too. The decor is modern, and the whole place feels fresh and inviting. The lobby is a great spot to chill after a day out, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They made me feel right at home. If you're planning a trip to Seoul, I can’t recommend Aloft Hotel Gangnam enough. It's the perfect mix of comfort and convenience, and I can’t wait to go back!

I had a great stay at Seoul Union Hotel. The location is one of its biggest advantages — it’s just a short walk from Seoul Station, which makes getting around the city incredibly easy (Line 1, Line 4, and the AREX are all nearby). If you’re coming from or going to the airport, the transport access is very convenient. For shopping, Lotte Outlets Seoul Station is right next to the hotel, and places like Namdaemun Market and Myeongdong are very close as well, either within walking distance or just one subway stop away. There are also plenty of good restaurants, cafés, and convenience stores around the hotel, so finding food at any time of day is easy. Overall, it’s a clean, comfortable hotel in a very practical and lively area — perfect for travelers who want easy transportation, shopping, and great food all nearby.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Sollago Myeongdong Hotel. The room was very spacious and perfect for a family. It had two separate rooms, each with a double bed, plus two single beds in the living room. It fit our family of five very comfortably. The unit was well equipped with a washer, smart TV, microwave, ref/freezer, and smart bidet, which made our stay easy and stress free—especially for a longer trip. The location is a big plus. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk to the subway and bus stops (Chungmuro), making it very convenient to get around Seoul. There is also a convenience store right downstairs, and many local Korean restaurants nearby, so food was never a problem. Btw, it’s a self check-in/out hotel. Very modern indeed! Overall, this hotel is a great choice for families who want space, comfort, and easy access to transport. We would gladly stay here again.
