The hotel might have been a grand one 20 years ago, but currently the room and facilities are dated and worn down. Public beach is accessible, but not advised to swim in the sea due to presence of jellyfishes. The carpets outside the rooms smelled musky. Swimming pool is always crowded and too small for the occupancy rates. Went for the complimentary exercise classes, but they were way too simplistic and a waste of time to attend. Gym also smelled bad from the sweat and equipment. Everything in the breakfast either was way too sweet or high in salt content, but it’s hard to get breakfast in the morning nearby so it’s either you eat here or end up hungry. True to its advisement, this hotel is catered to families with young children, so expect lots of rowdiness, noise and tantrums from the occupants.

strategic location to move around town area, and several food stall around by walking distance. compared to few hotels i stay before, many much parking lots available even till late night. one of only sound proof was very bad.

The overall hotel experience was excellent. There are two shopping malls nearby, and the hotel’s pool and jacuzzi are great. The room lighting is just right, and the in-room dining is reasonably priced. The bathroom amenities are from Elemis, which is a nice touch. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Had a pleasant one-night stay at St Giles Wembley Penang. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Great location near George Town attractions, and the staff were friendly. Overall, a convenient and worthwhile stay.

This is one of the loveliest hotels we have stayed at. The staff is exceptional and extremely friendly. The environment is elegant and welcoming. The grounds are impeccably manicured. The dining experience is classy but reasonably priced. The rooms are well cared for, comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet has a wide array of options and is very delicious. This hotel is very remote and is a fifty minute drive to Georgetown....but the seaview is worth the extra traveling. Thanks to the ENTIRE staff for giving us such lasting memories. 💛💛

Booked the biggest unit available which was Hutton 8, 3 Bedroom. Felt in love the moment we open the doors, the smell of wood, rustic and filled with post heritage decorations, there are some setbacks but overall the stay was almost to my satisfactory. The setbacks are, the television given was very small for a huge house so we cannot really see and hear properly. Secondly, the living room is very very very very humid, there is a ceiling fan but all 6 of us are sweating when we sit on the sofa especially during day time.

Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. Stayed at Lone Pine Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, right by the beach and close to Batu Ferringhi attractions, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice balcony view. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the stay. The pool area was well maintained and not overcrowded. Overall, a great place for a quiet beach getaway. Would definitely consider staying again.

Room is big and clean. The only setback is the shower place where there is no screen to block the water from splashing out. Each time we shower, the whole toilet will be wet, something that senior citizens like us is wary of
