The booking process was easy and had been prepaid. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and efficient. It’s easy to find in a good location close to our favorite place to eat while we are in Liberal. The room was clean, comfortable bed and easy to adjust the temperature to your liking. The only issue was the toilet paper holder was loose and trying to come off the wall.

Hotel was nice , clean and comfortable, just out the way and no bar which would be nice. Quite expensive too but I would stay again. The only thing Is that I had pillow with blood stains but I'm not a complainer so I just didn't use it that's why I gave it a 4

All and all, the hotel in general and the room in particular were very adequate. The room was very clean, no unpleasant odors, nor any loud noises from the adjacent rooms. However, there was an unusual phenomenon with our room; that being the view from our window. Low and behold upon drawing back the drapes, we were greeted with a parade of toilets, not to mention old mattresses off to the side, all in full view. WOW . . . very unexpected, to say the least. Additionally, although the hotel advertised having a swimming pool, which it did have, it failed to mention that the pool was empty. Not so much as a drop of water to get the bottom of your feet wet [don't be fooled by the deceptive 2-tone colors; there's no actual water there]. That being said, the hotel staff were pleasant, helpful, and accommodating at needed.

VVieraskäyttäjäI would highly recommend TownPlace Suites Lawrence. We booked here before and did not hesitate to book here again. After parking in the underground, protected inside parking garage, we were greeted by a friendly and accommodating front desk employee (BTW...they all are). Our two bedroom suite came as advertised: clean, comfortable and quiet. The location of the hotel is prime, just one block off Massachusetts Street and within easy walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The morning continental breakfast is generous and well managed, making it unnecessary to go elsewhere. I would say the location, comfort, parking, breakfast and friendly staff make this hotel worth the booking. A special shout out to two employees for their help and general good nature in making this a pleasurable experience. Beth, the early morning breakfast manager, was super. She set things up earlier than scheduled, trying her best to provide for those early risers (like me) and for those on an early schedule. Her attentiveness and general conversation were much appreciated. Eli came to the rescue when a heater unit was not working as it should. After maintenance could not solve the problem (more on that later), Eli volunteered to research the operating manual and came up with a troubleshooting guide. He and I proceeded to the room where he dove into the controls of the heater unit with guidance from the manual and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. I was relieved and thankful he was able to do that. I thanked both employees for helping all of us to better overnight experiences, and they should be recognized for that. In addition, the fitness center and pool looked well maintained and inviting, but I didn't use either.
There's always room for improvement, so here are my suggestions:
- When I booked the room last October, I was told the parking garage door was under repair, had to be kept open but certainly would be fixed by January. It wasn't. Not a huge deal, but it does remove the security feature of a closed door and when working helps to keep inclement weather out. We were comfortable parking our car there, but this should be addressed.
- Maintenance should consult with Eli on how to fix maintenance issues. I reported a heater problem Friday morning, the front desk employee took copious notes and said she would advise maintenance. Late in the day, the maintenance guy was leaving and when asked about our room , he said ”What about it?” Obviously didn't get the word. He checked it out but the heater was not fixed and when I asked that night, the front desk told me maintenance said that's how they work and nothing can be done. Enter Eli to show maintenance how it's correctable when using proper maintenance techniques.
- The lobby furnishings look tired and need to be replaced. I understand work is in progress to do this. The carpets are also in need of replacement in certain areas.
- The room 225 showerhead also needs to be replaced. It has three spray options, none of which are pleasurable.
That's about it! I hope you find this review helpful. I responded as accurately and honestly as possible. See you next time when my son and I make another journey from Boston for a little KU B-ball action. Rock Chalk!

MMichelle EveattThe hotel was clean and staff were friendly. However, there was nothing but ice as far as amenities go. The snack station was there, but there was nothing in it to buy. There were no vending machines. The included breakfast was a few prepackaged muffins and nutrigrain bars, coffee and juice.
I have attached pictures of the room. Door frames were completely broken. Door would hardly open or shut. The toilet seat was broken, the exhaust fan was hanging from the ceiling in the bathroom, and the smoke detector was hanging by the wires. The shower would not turn off if you tried to take a bath, and the plug did not work to keep the water in the tub when attempting to take a bath.
Most of these issues are routine maintenance items. For $87.14, I would at least except a well maintained hotel room. Room 118 was not that room.

VVieraskäyttäjäTulin tänne mieheni ja 2 lasta urheilu KC peli. Sijainti oli hyvä. Aamiainen oli luultavasti paras osa hotellista. Se ei ole miellyttävää millään tavalla ja en maksaisi mitään enemmän kuin olin täällä yöllä. Puhtaus oli hyvä. Lady oli mukava, kun tulimme ja nähtiin hänet myöhemmin saada söpöjä ja hän näytti vain väsynyt, päivän, ja hieman ärsyttynyt. Olemme jääneet vammaisten huoneessa, koska se oli kaikki, mitä he olivat jättäneet, vaikka varasin viikon etukäteen. Huone oli hyvä, mutta patio/takaovi oli huoneen ulkopuolella ja kaikki, mitä kuulimme koko yön ja aamun, oli ihmisiä menemässä ja ulos ja lapsia huutamaan ja huutamaan ovia tunteja. Uima-allas näytti mukavalta, mutta emme saaneet tilaisuutta tarkistaa. Kokonaisuudessaan se oli hyvä oleskelu ja jään takaisin tähän hintaan, mitä meillä oli ja vain pyytää eri huone.

VVieraskäyttäjäEverything was excellent. Staff, cleanliness, the room. I was surprised that there was a kitchenette with dishes. There was not a view of the river, but the nearby arena shot off fireworks and I could see those from the room! There's a coffeeshop across the parking lot, though it wasn't needed since there's coffee available in the lobby. The breakfast included hot food items and several toppings like nuts and berries for either oatmeal or yogurt. Parking was very easy. It has a pool right off the elevator. The alarm clock was easier to set than most. The mattress was very soft. I like the rug under the sofa, which I believe is intended for dogs and would be easily washable. The TV had free Showtime. I would stay there again.

Staff was friendly and professional, but I got a weird vibe from them. Not sure what that was about. Thiis hotel chain definitely cuts costs when it comes to things like soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and other room amenities. That all felt super cheap. Breakfast was acceptable. Not a lot of options. Waffles were good, eggs were passable, sausage was standard. I'd not want to eat it for more than two days in a row, but it hit the spot for what it was. Wouldn't avoid in the future, but certainly not memorable.

The floor was uneven on the first floor not great carpet and a little dated. I only stayed one night so it was okay.. Tv, microwave and refrigerator were decent. I didn't have the breakfast, but it did smell good. Location was close to K State, however the surroundings were old rundown buildings and vacant storage. Lighting outside was bright at night so that was good. Overall average stay. Front desk staff were nice but check in did take a while.
