This is a microtel, which we missed that part. Price is on the high side for this type on room. Seems to be a micro staff as well. The person at the desk also serviced the breakfast area. I enjoyed the new automatic coffee maker. Everything is nice and new, I’ve seen similar hotels that are advertised like this in Japan. If I had known and priced lower I would have been ready for the stay.

We have been stopping at this hotel every year for the last three years. The location is good for us on the way to Florida. However, this time when we stayed there, the continental breakfast was terrible! The gravy was too thick and too salty. The scrambled eggs were watery. The orange juice was nothing but water. The bananas were close to being rotten. The only thing I ate was a bagel with cream cheese. However, on the positive note, the bed was comfortable and I slept good. C Walker 10/12/25

Only stayed one night but the room was clean, and stayed nice and cold. Staff was very friendly and the view of the lake was beautiful.

Great location for Alabama. I tried to get late check out the night before but I got pushed to the morning - then the morning staff was late and I couldn't get an answer.
Hotel was nice - older rooms but nice downstairs!

The reception was kind of rude from the beginning but he wasn't understanding what I was saying so once I told him no my 5 kids wasn't staying in a king size bed with me and my husband he came around a little bit then he was like well how would I know the kids not there and I told him he can come check himself around 9:30 my kids ride will be there at 9:15. But I don't see what the problem was cause what if I couldn't afford the 2 queen size bed room was he just gonna put us out. That's wrong if so but my kids didn't stay anyways they went else where

VVieraskäyttäjäThe hotel was clean and in a great location for the reason I was in Birmingham. It was near to the event that I was attending. The sink in my room had a stopper that prevented the water from escaping when I did not want it to collect in the sink during activities such as brushing my teeth and washing my face. The water was also cold and took an excessively long time to heat up even a little bit. It was not even lukewarm. Therefore, I checked out and was unable to shower. My son actually took a cold shower on a cold day, one of the coldest that we have had in Alabama in a while. I was also awakened by an emergency message and alarm to vacate the building due to an emergency only to learn later that it was a test. I learned this when the fire truck arrived and I heard an employee apologizing for not calling them to let them know that it was only a test. I only stayed overnight so there was no other opportunity for me to get a better impression. The only reason that I did not give a lower rating for the facilities is because once I reported the issue with the shower and sink, they sent a handy man to the room to make the repairs, but my son was already taking a cold shower at the time since we were scheduled to get back home to meet previously scheduled obligations. The staff person who was checking me out said that she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through a third party. However, she did state that she would refund the money that I paid for parking.

DDevi Weems/Kenneth DuffieThis is the ABSOLUTE WORST possible hotel that I could have booked. I was told before check-in that my room had no television nor microwave. The night desk clerk told me that I could contact my booking company and would be given a refund despite the website said no refunds. Since I was going to be there for 3 days, I decided that 3 days without a television nor a microwave would be impossible, so I never checked in. It has taken over a week of being given the runaround to find out that the night desk clerk straight up lied. I did NOT get a refund --not even a partial refund. You can bet that NONE OF THE ROOMS HAVE ANYTHING ON THE AMENITIES LIST, CAUSE I SAW EVERYTHING IN THE OFFICE BEHIND THE DESK!!!! IF YOU BOOK HERE, YOU'RE AN *****!!! I'M WARNING YOU AHEAD OF TIME!!!!! I wish someone would have posted a review warning travelers about their experience, I NEVER would have taken the time that it took us to locate it, especially since they didn't even have a sign up, only a banner that you not only couldn't see, but couldn't have read if you COULD HAVE seen it, because it was all wadded up!!!!! TRAVELERS BEWARE:::: THIS HOTEL IS DEFINITELY NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE!!!!! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET FROM THIS ”CHAIN”!!!!!!!!!!

AAnonyymi käyttäjäWe wanted to stay in Irondale rather than Birmingham and although this property didn't have great or CURRENT reviews,the description said that it was renovated in 2024 and no other property had a better review. It was indeed updated in some areas and our room was very nicely appointed with new upholstery and modern furniture but it was not clean. There was a layer of dust (construction?) on EVERYTHING and long, dark hairs on the bathroom floor. The window glass was filthy. The freezer was so in need of defrosting that the door would not shut and we were unable to refreeze our flat ice packs. I would guess that no one has stayed in the room since the renovation and the room had not received a post-construction cleaning. The elevator was very dirty,noisy, and a bit scary to ride to the 4th floor. The regular clientele is obviously traveling construction workers. Staff was very friendly but unprofessional.

Looks like they may need a chisel to remove the dirt stuck to the tub corners!! Thank goodness I always bring my own shower flip flops !! They didn’t even have bath towels just hand towels and one of the wash cloths was not even white anymore ( that really should have been trashed!! ) Thank goodness I also bring my own towels ! The carpet was so stained the room smells horrible!! The elevator was so dirty and dingy!!
And to think they charged me $225 for the night !! It’s good I was just passing through and it was a last minute trip and I didn’t have to stay but less than 12 hours!! I would never go back to that hotel again and unfortunately they make all other hotels that carry the same name look bad!!

I was on my way to our home in Florida and broke up the 12 hour drive with a halfway point stop for the night. The staff was helpful and pleasant both upon arrival and check-out. My room was clean and everything worked (tub drained well, refrigerator was cold, room temperature controls were responsive, etc.). I felt safe in the area which was also convenient to shopping and restaurants. Their well-stocked breakfast was a nice surprise! It was available in their clean, bright and spacious area and the eggs/sausage were hot and delicious. There were several other options as well that would easily accommodate a hungry family. This will now be my go-to hotel in the future along I-65!

VVieraskäyttäjäThe hotel is nice. Not as nice as I thought it would be but its clean. The bathroom could use some updates and some new tile grouting around the tub. But not a bad or gross place. The AC was broken. The chillers were up and down, and no matter what I tried the room temp was getting hotter by the min. When I first checked in the room was 70° F. I set the AC at 67 and 20 min later it was 72°. A few others in the hotel told be they had to be moved to a new room. I did not stay they night, I left at 9pm. Too hot and humid.
The staff was amazing and super helpful and understanding. The lady at the front desk deserves a raise. Because the staff was awesome I would consider trying the location again. (After they get the AC fixed)

VVieraskäyttäjäGreat stay! We had a room with a kitchenette and two queen beds. The room was spacious, and everything was clean. There was a full sized fridge and a 4-burner stovetop. The beds were so comfy! The room was a little bit older, but everything was functional and served it’s purpose. The property was quiet and family oriented. The only semi-complaint was that the pools were freezing. Obviously, most of that was due to it not being super hot yet, but even the hot tubs weren’t very warm. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy the indoor pool because that one was like ice. But again, if the weather would’ve been warmer, it probably wouldn’t have been so cold. Would definitely stay here again!
