Excellent hotel to spend time between flights. The hotel is close to the airport with a free shuttle service available 24 hours a day. Large and clean rooms, rich, varied and delicious breakfast. Additional meals can be ordered for a fee - all the dishes we chose were delicious. Excellent staff at the reception.

Great Stay in Budapest – Highly Recommended! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Budapest. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from, making it a great way to start the day. The room was spotless and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The location was perfect – it took less than 10 minutes to walk to Heroes’ Square, which made exploring the city so easy. What really stood out, however, was the staff – everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a pleasant and comfortable experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest!

Continental Comfort in Budapest 🏩 For €260 a night 💶, the “junior suite” delivers big on comfort — a bed you’ll melt into 🛏️, pillows with personality, and a breakfast omelette 🍳 that could win awards. The staff are genuinely lovely 😊, and the building itself has a historic glass dome that makes you stop and stare. Not everything hit the mark — the “wellness centre” (a sauna that’s more lukewarm hug than steamy escape 🧖♂️) and toiletries that smell like disappointment. Luxury touches didn’t quite sparkle, yet the space was clean, practical, and restful 😌. It was such a pleasant stay! We arrived early in the morning, and lucky us！ They had a room ready for early check-in! The rooms are just like the pictures, cozy and spacious. The location is very convenient, we could get anywhere in less than 15 minutes. Breakfast is nice as well. Highly recommend!

I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and its excellent location — both made my stay comfortable. However, I noticed that the furniture felt quite dated and could benefit from some refurbishment. The room itself was acceptable, but it lacked several basic amenities that I would expect: - No tissues - No complimentary water - No tea or coffee setup - No slippers - No iron - No standard toiletries or amenities Improving these small details would greatly enhance the guest experience. Upon arrival at night, the hotel appeared abandoned due to the lack of lighting. We later learned there was a power outage; however, the receptionist was accommodating and helpful. She offered us drinks and snacks while we waited to check in. After some time, since the power had not yet returned, she kindly arranged a ground-floor room for us. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with basic amenities. Overall, it’s one of the better hotel options near Keleti Railway Station—just one bus stop away with a short walk.

Good experience staying here. Comfortable bed and room. Gratefully, each bed in the dorm has a cover and a large locker, so you’ll have both privacy and security. The shower room is nice with stable hot water. The only downside is that there’s no AC in the room, so the window needs to be kept open. Since the room is next to the public area where people smoke and chat until midnight, the smell goes into the room (even though it’s a non-smoking room) and the noise can disturb your sleep. The kitchen has a few refrigerators and two ovens. The only drawback is that there’s no stove, so you can only use the oven to warm up your food. There is an elevator that allows you to access each floor, so you don’t need to carry your luggage up the stairs Overall, a good stay at an affordable price.

Carlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream! My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall: Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.

This hotel's location and facilities are ideal, close to all major attractions. However, our check-in was disappointing. We had booked a double bed, but the blue-haired receptionist assigned us a twin room without notice. The other staff offered to change rooms, but it required a one-hour wait. Having just arrived from a long-haul flight, we were too exhausted to wait any longer. We therefore reluctantly had to accept the incorrect room. We hope the blue-haired receptionist can improve her professional diligence to prevent future guests from facing similar issues.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to Budapest Keleti train station, making it easy to travel around the city. It’s only about five tram stops to the city centre, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. If you get a room facing the main road, you’ll also enjoy a great view of the train station. However, there are some downsides. The air conditioning doesn’t work during autumn and winter, so the only option for ventilation is to open the window. Unfortunately, the hotel is extremely noisy since it’s right next to a main road where police and ambulance sirens go off very frequently, making it hard to rest. Additionally, luggage storage isn’t free—you have to pay by the hour, which feels a bit inconvenient. Overall, it’s a great choice for location and convenience, but not ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet or comfort in cooler seasons.
