We had a wonderful stay! We especially liked the location - walking distance to small downtown Shima, yet far enough to have less tourists walking around. The hot springs were great, food was delicious (especially if you want to try authentic local Gunma prefecture cuisine - might not be best for children), and the nightly traditional paper story telling was also great. We took a train + bus ride from Tokyo and the local bus (40min ride) from Nakanojyo station stops right in front of the hotel. We will come back again for sure!

A relax and nice view in Kusatsu. The hotel is located a bit far from bus terminal. However, there is a free shuttle bus service which connected with bus service. I strongly encourage the private onsen package where we can taste three different type of onsen in the hotel. My platinum ring changed colour, may be due to the acidity of onsen water😂. The dinner and breakfast inspired and it is good for family trip with a number of accessible service for elderly with physically limitations.

We stayed 1 night at Kusatsu Onsen hotel village. It's indeed a resort which offers many activities (table tennis, bowling, game arcade etc.) and a separate spa center with swimming pool and sauna. We didn't bother to step out the hotel until we had to leave Kusatsu. The dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious too. There is shampoo and bathing tools for babies in the ladies bath. I believe it's suitable for family with young children.

3 different types of onsen , amazing breakfast with huge selection of food, amazing spacious rooms with an amazing view of the river. Only spent 1 night here but would’ve easily stayed another if we had time. The building is well maintained and the onsen was so good I had 3 sessions even though we were only here for 1 night. I really liked the Comfort Hotel. Great location, easy access from maebashi train station and quick walk to shopping areas. The room was just what we needed with helpful amenities. Staff are lovely and helpful. Would recommend for a short stay.

Generally the hotel has been renovated so it has clean and new facilities. However, some items like the TV is dated. It had a large carpark (free) if you are driving. The onsen is clean and modern. You can make use of their sister hotel’s onsen just next door. Free coffee and pastries provided in the afternoon. The hotel also provide Yukata and Japanese style slipper for guest. It would be better if they provided a basket instead of plastic bag for guest to carry their belongings around when going for bath.

We had a very good overall experience at this onsen hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We especially appreciated having an English-speaking staff member available — it made communication much easier and helped us feel more comfortable during our visit.

It was a short walk away from the Minakami Onsen bus stop and the room was clean. Loved the private onset overlooking the river as well. We didn't have breakfast there as the price was a little steep for us (~27 SGD) but there's a nearby bakery and other F&B, so food was not an issue. They provide PJs and a cardigan to put over as well. Staff was nice too.

駅から近く、館内にコインランドリーもあり、便利なホテルでした。 朝食も十分で、駅南にスーパーがあるので、長期滞在にも向いていると思います。 部屋も清潔で十分なスペースがあり、静かで、快適に二泊できました。 部屋の冷蔵庫の効きが悪かったことだけが残念です。

スタッフの方々は皆さん笑顔で気持ち良く過ごすことができました。 食事のしゃぶしゃぶバイキングでは美味しいお肉が食べ放題で家族も大満足でした。 一部清掃で気になる点はありましたが、それは自分が清掃の仕事をしているからで、一般の方は気にならないレベルだと思います。 窓から見える妙義山は時間帯や天気によって見え方が異なり素敵でした。
