This hostel is the best stay for my trip. Everything ais good. The hotel is decorated with woods, so mostly all are wooden made. Very classy & super clean. Very friendly & helpful stuff. Have free cleaning services. The hostel just in front of the old town which at night u can walk around.
Also very near the Fu Si Miao about 15 min walks. There are plenty of restaurant just outside the hostel. Good taste and not expensive too.

The Hyatt is the best Hotel in LanZhou. Not only because of zero distance to the yellow river, but guest services.
Because the guest room was not available, and we needed to visit provincial museums first, I’ve got guidance for luggage storage, provided local cuisine, tourist places, and reserved us a higher floor Guest room. Then we enjoyed our provincial museum, delicious local food, then we enjoyed the gorgeous view of lunch and the yellow river from the guestroom.
I would definitely choose Hyatt again. And I appreciate Rita who provided very warm professional help for us!
By the way, the breakfasts are very enjoyable with local special offers.

I hv a pile of clothes upon my return from Ganna n in urgent needs to wash the clothes
Cici personally came to pick up our clothes from our room n offered to help us to put the clothes into the washing machine for us n hang up the clothes to dry when we went on a day trip.
She went to extra mile to fold up the clothes n laid the clean clothes neatly on the chair in our room.
We appreciate the kind gesture.we deeply appreciated for her effort.
The front desk staffs greeted us when we came back from our outing.
The staffs are being trained to gear customer service to the guests.thks

出遊半個月來，住的住舒服稍的一家。裝修有自己的一套，不是那種到處都一樣的，燈光、小擺件這些能看出來用了心。而且設備也好使，該有的都有，用起來特別順手，淋浴勁兒大，吹風機也好用，無線網都賊溜。衞生打掃得乾乾淨淨，房間又大又亮堂。不管是還是出去玩，住這兒都特合適。反正這個價格能享受到這些，真的值了，夏天出來繼續選擇這裏。

We had a very pleasant stay at Hilton Lanzhou City Centre. Many thanks to front office staff, Debbie who attended to us warmly and responsively. The hotel's location was good and the check-in was very fast. Our high-floor room was clean and comfortable, the best is, choice of pillows is granted. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise view of the city from our window. A point to note, the room window can only be unlocked by staff for cooler air flow as the central heating system is in operation for the current winter season. We also loved the fragrant of the toiletries. Buffet breakfast spread was tasty and varied. We spent a relaxing time enjoying our breakfast slowly.

This Hilton is above average when compared to her peers. The reception was professional and warm with lots of patience shown. The location of the hotel is in the new administration centre just a stone throw away from the HSR station and access to most places are pretty centralized.
Amenities are complete and operational.

Just 10 mins walk from the main train station. The hotel is amazing, befitting its international brand name. The layout of the bed, tables, internal decor, cleanliness, the thought put into the buttons for control of lighting, plus the placement and availability of sockets is in line of what I would expect for ”Hilton”. It has on-screen monitoring (in the room) of the laundry and dryer, negating the need to physically stay in the laundry room.
Love the breakfast ! It has lamb and beef steak for breakfast. Good varieties of fruits, yoghurts and Chinese cuisine. I wonder why Hilton doesn't have similar hotels for other silk road cities such as Dunhuang or Jiayuguan. The reception staff is prompt and helpful in directions.
Probably the only downside I can think of is lack of proper restaurants near or inside the hotel. We had to take a taxi or walk in 3 km (in -10C freezing cold) to get to the nearest mall. However, there is a mid-size convenient store adjacent to the hotel (across the traffic light junction). Would absolutely recommend this hotel. Worth paying the premium.

Its a very beautiful hotel . Staffs are friendly and smiling . They have huge breakfast selection but i would say its okay in taste wise. Walkable distance to Mingsha Mountain . If you are using a Didi or Taxi to come in this hotel either from airport or from Mogao Exhibition Center , its called Dunhuang Mountain Villa . I noticed that taxi drivers or the App doesnt pull or know The Silk Road Dunhuang Hotel.

AAnonyymi käyttäjäOn baidu map, it says that from Zhangye railway station to the hotel is about 3 km but when actually navigating my way over while carrying a luggage, it was so much further than I'd expect because Zhnagye's road and traffic are quite chaotic. Many traffic lights aren't even in operation and there are quite a few (3 I think) t+junctions that pedestrian have to cross via the underpass. The cars doesn't quite obey the traffic lights, so be careful and cautious.
For the hotel itself, it's definitely one of my favorite overall, out of my 3 hotel stays during my trip. According to the receptionist I was offered a room upgrade, so thank you! There were also lots of free treats evertime I cleared it, so thank you again! Love especially the red dates yogurt, it's definitely a must try (although they were 2-3days after expiry). I even went out to the grocery to get more! Regarding the amenities, the air conditioner works but can't be controlled. Tried setting temp to 5 degree Celsius (lowest settings) and 30 degree celcius (highest setting), both doesn't work. It seems like it is fixed to room temp +/- a few degrees based on the temp outdoor. One of the day I had sunburn and wanted to cool off but due to how the temp was determined, I have no choice but to sweat it out. Other than that, the tap water here had very visible residue that you can tell that it isn't clear, so I really recommend not using it for drinking water boiled or not. Aon my last day, I wanted to try the bathtub but when I turned on the tap, I had a shock. The water that came out was brown, so I cancelled my initial plan of using it for relaxation 😕. There is also a humidifier provided and I am super grateful for that, however the water ran out on the 2nd day and I can't seem to fill it up correctly. The toilet bowl is also a smart toilet bowl, but I didn't realized it after closer inspection while trying to find how to flush. Lastly, I was so looking forward to the stars celling but it's kinda sad that you can't turn it on on its own without having the other lights turned on as well. Which honestly defeats the purpose of having a star gazing celling.

Not only did I overpay even after negotiating, but the driver spent the beginning part of the trip texting and I had to swing my arm across him as we were about to rear end another car. 20 minutes later arrival at Maiji Shan park entrance. The friendly owner was already there and immediately helped me with my bags. A few minute drive to the expansive farmhouse. I asked for a bowl of noodles which was hot and delicious provided by a grandmother woman. Chinese farm Breakfast was plentiful. I used the heat as the mountains got cold quickly when the sun dropped. The immaculate room was large with two double beds, a tv and desk. The bathroom had integrated toilet and shower so it is wet. Plenty of hot water tho the turn on was a matter of button pressing. I learned something new! Toiletries and paper towels (another first) were provided. The owner took me to Maiji Shan. Sadly, it was closed; rain had made rocks fall making it dangerous to climb the stairs. Nevertheless, I took some photos. I tried to walk back (beautiful fall day), but the owner met me along the wayThe owner and I communicated via WeChat translator. DIdi was not available and as we started for the train station the bus came behind us. So the owner put me on it and I wrote via the app. The bus drives very slowly but I got to the station to run back and forth with my bags, then going to a different floor to get a paper ticket, then back to the waiting area, thru the gate, up the stairs, and finally to my sleeper car. Outside of asking me for my passport and various tickets about 10 times no personnel was particularly helpful tho I was noisily wheezing. As I was getting off, Another passenger grabbed my bags and ran down the stairs with them and then went back to the train. Probably someone in the medical field! Platform smoking and between cars smoking can affect some people.

RRachel WorsleyFantastic hotel, amazingly helpful staff who arranged a car to take us all the way to Hami when we couldn't get train tickets, were highly responsive at all hours of the day and night, and made sure we had everything we needed. Extremely comfortable and well appointed rooms. Perfect location right by the night markets and opposite the bus stop for the caves. Cannot fault it

住宿在荒野首先是看景色，沙漠山丘景色沒得説，雖然説在山腳下，但還是讓人心曠神怡。
空曠的地方拍照也非常不錯，人家給我們指導了，怎麼拍星空，並且提供了手機支架，太棒了 ps 麪來的一定要問管家或老闆要燭光馬燈（店家會免費提供）拍照氛圍太棒了
餐食方面，我們從店家那裡訂的燒烤，在房間露台吃的（在上面可以坐四個人，超過四個人就得到露台下面的沙地上用餐）

The staff and owner were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The owner, a talented artist, treated us like family, sharing his local and cultural knowledge over cups of delicious tea. We loved the spacious and beautifully decorated rooms, perfect for relaxation. The hotel had cozy spots inside and outside to soak up the sun while enjoying a good book. The hot pot dinner was mouthwatering and warmed us up on chilly nights. With its convenient location, we easily explored Jiayuguan Pass and the Great Wall. This hotel's hospitality was top-notch, and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!

VVieraskäyttäjäIdyllic and relaxing resort-like property in the countryside, yet only 5-15 minutes drive away from the airport and major attractions. We deliberately chose this semi-rural location for a peaceful rest after the long sunny visits to Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain. So happy with our choice.
The rooms are huge, new, clean and well furnished. The bed and duvet are luxuriously comfortable, it was so difficult to get out of bed.
Breakfast is in the beautiful dining room behind the main building, surrounded by the lush garden. The home-cooked light healthy breakfast was nourishing, a welcomed contrast to the heavy greasy food in restaurants.
The lobby has a convivial lounge area with generous supply of local snacks.
Most importantly, the service of the two bosses and their staff have been heartwarming and filled with love. We felt like guests in their home. One day my elderly dad didn't go out. The owners even took care of my dad by including him in their team lunch and showed him around the property garden. We were so touched.
Thank you Zhang An and team for this unforgettable lovely experience. We will be back.

JJessica MellicaUnfortunately my experience wasn't good. Hot water didn't work, it was only warm. I did it in the afternoon anyway but ny boyfriend waited untill 11pm.
Elettronic key of our room never worked. We always had to call someone to open our room.
About water problem they said there was an issue in all the hotel and they can fix it the next morning.
We could not find a standard queen bed room, they have queen room just very expensive and for cheaper price they have only twin rooms.
We paied a full amount for the night we staied but we didn't have full 100% service we should receive from the booking. They suggest us a refund to change hotel but it was so late and we are travelling with bicycles, after a ride of 150km we were too tired to move in another location during the dark at 10pm. We just needed a hot shower and a bed to sleep.
Finally we received a 100 cny caution back, and the next morning ladies at reception gave us 6 small bottle of water to apologize.
I'm really upset about nobody advise us about water issue during check in, so there was still time to move in another accomodation, especially for elettronic key, I can't understand why it's never worked. Be carefull for next booking about rooms at 5th level. I don't know if it's a problem only for foreign people or for everyone. Room price list are very expensive so, I think they have not a bad service.
Unfortunately it's the first time during my 32 years happened this, especially during my 27 days in China, all the issue where always well reserved. This time my experience was really stressful, I don't feel like to recommended it and I hope never happen again to other travelers.

To my great surprise, the staff had patiently waited for me despite the ungodly hour. Everything was prepared, and the check-in proceeded smoothly and professionally, without any trace of impatience or reluctance. This attentiveness and consideration from the very first contact set the tone for my entire stay.
The room far exceeded my expectations. Not only was it exceptionally comfortable, but it also offered that rare standard where price and quality stand in a remarkable relationship to one another. The cleanliness was impeccable, the furnishings tasteful and thoughtfully arranged – one could sense genuine care in every detail.
The breakfast deserves special mention: an abundant selection offered both traditional Chinese dishes and European options for Western palates. The quality of the food was consistently high, freshly prepared and lovingly presented. It was evident that international guests' needs are genuinely considered here, without sacrificing local authenticity.
What truly distinguishes this hotel, however, is its staff. The friendliness and attentiveness with which one is received and cared for goes far beyond the usual service level. This is the kind of hospitality that doesn't feel forced, but springs from genuine warmth.
For anyone visiting Dunhuang – whether following in the footsteps of the Silk Road or exploring the breathtaking Mogao Grottoes – I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It not only provides an excellent base for exploration, but becomes itself a positive part of the travel experience.
