"Great stay at this Hotel ocean. Kids friendly, located by the main street and just a few mins walk to the walking street. 5 mins walk to the monorail.Very convenient. Great pool for kids. Not too deep, even four years old kid can stand and play with confidence. The pool offer free Floats eg donuts, mats, etc.
There are 2 coins operated washing/drying machines. And so many stuff you can just take to use eg extra chairs, small fans, camping lights etc like in the pics I posted. Also there are selections of pillows to choose for your own comfort, so much selections of shampoos, baby’s soap to choose by yourself. 24 hrs drinks/tea/coffee. Play area for your kids. And some activities for your kids to do. The staff are helpful and always there for you. Even when I was there late night chitchat in common area. The room we had was family room for 4. Cozy and enough space for our bags.
Overall. We had a great experience. Thank you."

Bad point:
1) The room is too small, barely fit in 2 suitcases
2) Hygiene can be better , have dust everywhere
3) Air con is dripping to the bed, fridge is noisy
4) Corridor is too windy
5) Near Red light street, if you are family with children might be not a good choice"

VVieraskäyttäjäGreat hotel in a convenient location near a lively shopping street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also tried the O2 capsule they offer — surprisingly affordable compared to prices in Europe!
The pool was nice, and the rooftop view was a real highlight. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

TtravelblizzardThe room was nice and spacious with a great toilet and amenities. The only downside is that they do “eco cleaning” which I understand, but they won’t even make your bed, I don’t mean replacing the bedsheets but just making your which all regular hotels do.
They won’t clean your cups or replace them but they won’t also give you soap to clean your cups so I personally don’t think it’s eco cleaning it’s eco disgusting.
Wiping the surfaces or making beds does not increase the use of water or resources.
Besides that, the staff are lovely and the breakfast is a good highlight for sure.
I would like them to improve their “eco cleaning” as it just looks they are “under staffed” for cleaning services and had to come up with a new term to greenwash their intentions.
I would rather them not having disposable amenities, made of plastic.

The room was so spacious with thoughtful amenities, the public baths and pool area felt very luxurious and clean, and the location is hard to beat in Naha. The staff are all very kind and thoughtful, many spoke English but even those who didn't were extremely patient with my little Japanese. I would like specifically thank Santosh from the front desk staff. We ran into an issue with our baggage getting delivered in time before our departure to our country and if it wasn't for his help we wouldn't have had a hope of ever seeing that luggage again. His compassion and willingness to help us clueless tourists navigate our options and prepare our luggage for delivery will be remembered for a long time. I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends traveling to Naha!

We stumbled upon Southwest Grand Hotel due to a last-minute flight change, and what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be! Our extra day in Okinawa became one of the most memorable parts of our trip—all thanks to this incredible hotel.

The room was modern, chic, and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I even turned it into a mini photo studio and captured some beautiful family portraits of my wife and our 3-month-old baby. My wife was over the moon with the results!

The breakfast spread was phenomenal—offering both Western and Japanese options, all bursting with flavor. The cheese selection and homemade yogurt with honey were standouts. Don’t miss them!

Just a minute’s walk from Kokusai-dori (国際通り), the hotel is perfectly located for last-minute shopping or grabbing essentials. Super convenient and central!

As the nearby streets settle into a peaceful hush and most restaurants wind down with only a handful of diners, the lobby restaurants at Southwest Grand Hotel remain buzzing with energy. The lively atmosphere, filled with cheerful faces and clinking glasses, speaks volumes about the quality and charm of the hotel’s dining experience.

Overall, our experience at Southwest Grand Hotel was truly delightful. Even now—almost a month later—I can still recall every moment with vivid clarity. If it weren’t for the limited parking, I’d confidently call it Michelin-worthy! This hotel is an absolute hidden gem, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again on our next visit to Okinawa!
