Tram stop across the road with a direct service to both the Station (2 Stops) and to the Airport Terminal (20 Mins). Fantastic staff. I will look for Social Hubs now wherever I stay."

"First off, great crew at the front desk. Whether it’s answering my calls requesting the ironing board, or calling a cab for me the day of my departure, they were always available and willing to help. The issue is they might have overdone it in one instance when I put a note on the room door before leaving asking not to be disturbed and came back to see someone had gotten into my room, changed sheets and towels + “arranged” my stuff. Nice intention but got me confused looking for certain things. The gym was also a little disappointing: tiny, very limited equipment and only fit for one person at a time. It’s really a space to do yoga and stretch, with one treadmill. But it helped nonetheless. The real elephant in the room was the location. I found this hotel looking for a place in Florence and this is very misleading from the booking platforms. The city is Prato, there are no Ubers, public transit tricky to navigate (walk 10-15 minutes + take 2 buses and a train to get to Florence in a trip that totals 1h30 min on average) and taxis are rare + expensive (the cheapest I paid was 50€ for a 13 min trip to the airport). Not to mention most taxi drivers are clearly scamming you because they know you’re desperate, turning off their meters and asking you to pay cash. Overall, not my most memorable experience and would only recommend if you’re staying in Prato. If you plan to visit Florence and are tempted to book a cheaper hotel north of the city, think twice."

"Great hostel had a really nice vibe to it and the rooms were spotless beds were comfy big luggage space too which is a bonus. The facilities were good the gym indoor pool sauna and steam room were great additions to my stay. The common room was okay was abit gutted they didn’t have a hob or an oven to cook food for the nights but overall was happy with my stay."

"I traveled 5 cities in Italy and this hotel is the best with its tidiness and excellence. You can have cleanliness (very clean every day), location (10 min walk to The Duomo and Galleria dell Accademia), service (Very helpful staffs to all racies), facilities (washing machine very helpful for travellers, and free minibar that fills everyday) all in one. And very quiet. The price was a bit high but I think it is value for money."

"⭐⭐☆☆☆ 2/5 Nice room, but hidden fees and disappointing location The room itself was beautiful — clean, stylishly decorated, and comfortable for a solo traveller, even if it was a little smaller than expected. So credit where it’s due: the physical space was lovely. Unfortunately, a few things really affected my stay. I was asked for a €50 per night deposit upon check-in, which came as a complete surprise. This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked, and it hit hard as a solo traveller on a tight budget. I lost €100 before I even saw the city, and it honestly dampened the whole experience. The staff at check-in were cold and not welcoming at all, which made the arrival feel awkward. Thankfully, check-out was much better — the person on the desk was kind and friendly, which helped leave things on a slightly better note. As for location: it’s not ideal. The hotel is tucked behind the main train station down some pretty dirty, sketchy-feeling streets. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Duomo, and for the price I paid, I expected to be much closer to the centre. Overall, the hotel itself is fine — but in the wrong location and definitely the wrong price bracket. Unless the prices come down and they’re more transparent about deposits, I wouldn’t stay here again."

"We had a very solid stay at Hotel Grifone. A pretty large, comfortable, and clean room, with a balcony even. It was a bit of a hassle to get to our room (2 different elevators/staircases separated by a hallway), but on our first trip to the room, a staff member showed us the way, which was a nice touch. We also really appreciated the free flavored waters and teas/snacks/mimosas provided in the lobby - was a lovely surprise. The hotel is in a very residential area, so it's pretty quiet at night. Does take around 25 minutes by bus to get there from the old town area, but they came relatively regularly (the signs posted on the stops were hit-or-miss on accuracy - the buses usually ran late). Signora Helena on the breakfast team was truly the sweetest person we met during our entire 2 week trip around the country of Italy. She always greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service (remembering that we have yogurt every morning and bringing it to us without us asking by the third day of our stay, checked in about what coffee we wanted, and more!). We really loved her, and it made our mornings brighter to see her! The front desk staff were all excellent as well! Super professional and answered questions about Florence and the hotel with ease."
