"The food, people, and location are really nice. However, the facilities are old. The door frame of the toilet suddenly dropped off and nearly hurt my friend. I hope they can improve them.

"THe hotel is dated - it would be nice to look old on the outside and up to date on the inside. It was hard to figure out how to turn on the AC - glad it worked though. Location is good, but the problem is parking - you cannot park on the street - had to park about 10-12 minute away, in a public parking. Breakfast is surprisingly good, with several options to choose from. The extra bed was flimsy, with the wood springs falling twice. Not a lot of space in the room - but, in a way, expected in Europe (especially coming from US). It would be good for the people upfront to share all the options and restrictions when it comes to parking. The lady in the morning included my car in the system, because you can get a ticket even by entering the restricted area."

"A quiet neighbourhood not far from the train station. Room spacious and clean, but pity that no tea/coffee making facility inside. Breakfast very good and not expensive. Dennis at the front desk very nice and friendly, he gave advice and answered my various questions about sightseeing and travel in Firenze, thank you very much. "Great location, especially good for intercity travel through SMN station. Room size is not big but good enough for us to mange luggages, and to take rest. We love their breakfast, good taste and mix of croissants, coffee, fruit, cereal, cheese,.. etc, charged only at Euro 15 per head. If I have to pick something better for improvement, I would say that the hotel rate per day at off season could be 20% or 30% discount."

For instance, just outside the hotel, less than a min walk, a Chinese no frills restaurant provides a good Asian spread of Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese Ramen and fusion at competitive prices. Mcdonald is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Other Italian restaurants are found within 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. Though, this place is busy and bustly, it is rather safe to move around. The security system in the hotel is good and rather peaceful. Staff are excellent with good knowledge of The city of Florence. The Duomo (see Pic) is about 10mins walk from the hotel. Further down, about 5 mins walk, you can access the Uffizy Gallery with great Art collection of the Renaissance era. Also, you can take a 10 mins walk via the Firenze station to access coaches for our daily tours and Designer’s factory outlet at The Mall. No regrets booking Cosimo for comfort and convenience for our great Florentine experience.

It had very good natural lighting. The bathroom was also big, bigger than most bathroom in Italian hotels. I could dance & turn around in the shower stall. Check in required a bit of tech-savviness & naturally the internet. Unlocking gate & room required the use of an internet browser/done on a smart phone. There’re plenty of food options around, a bar/cafe/gelateria right down the building. Coffee machine & drinking water available for the taking. There’s a big shared fridge and an in-room fridge. Internet was fast. Plenty of charging ports/power outlets, conveniently placed (including bedside). Maybe one small suggestion: perhaps there’d be a desk. The TV didn’t work but I wouldn’t watch anything in Italian. I could YouTube with the fast internet. Good toiletries & drinking water provided & refreshed daily (some hotels don’t do this). Highly recommended.

YYasmineLThe room was sufficient for a 2 night stay, the staff were lovely and very helpful, but the room was worse than expected. Very very noisy from the trams and trains outside and the shower head wouldn’t stay on the stand. I would recommend for a quick stop over stay but would avoid if you’re planning to stay for more than a couple of nights.
The location is great though, just opposite the station it was so easy to get on and off trains, easy walk to the centre and cathedral, with plenty of nearby restaurants!

AAlexandraSHotel overall is okay for a 3 star. Employees were always friendly. Free parking and if full, hotel as a old garage underneath which it was where we parked. Breakfast was okay also for a 3 star hotel.
Amenities nothing to be honest, on our room we had some stuff broken also… could get some refurbishment. And also, it is not a queen bed, it was two single beds close to each other… with no top mattress anything…
