"I had an incredibly enjoyable time here. The boss and his family are adorable and very available. The rooms are clean and quiet. The house is well located next to the central street and shops. It’s very easy to get to places of interest around and find a taxi. The boss knows his region very well and he loves history. I had a fabulous stay. cherry on the cake, his brother-in-law makes burgers and a delicious coffee two minutes away."

"Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct."

"All in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station). Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds."

"I warmly recommend taking a trip to the Shaolin temple and get accommodated in Chanyue Hotel. It is a nice place to stay in for a couple of days, with nice people, the rooms are clean, the service is excellent, their soup I cannot even describe, it’s like being in heaven after a long day….delicious! The lobby is beautiful, authentic.Don’t hesitate, Chanyue Hotel is your place!;)"

"Room was clean and the view was just as nice as expected. English skills of the employees are very limited but communication works out as everyone was doing their best :-) When you have an issue like 4 people will try to take care of it. The A/C on our room didn't work (the fridge also didn't work) and the employees and ourself spent like 1-2h in total but haven't been able to fix it. The next day they tried again and in the end we changed the room. Gym is great but external I guess so you have to bring your own towel otherwise they charge 20 RMB (but in China nobody uses towels anyway). It also closes at 08:30pm which is a pity. Breakfast is okay but ends at 09:30am which is pretty early as well o.O You can walk to Zhongyue temple, there are small restaurants around and the view is great so we liked the location. The best aspect of the hotel is the friendly employees."
