The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

If I can rate this hotel more than 5 stars, I will do so. Those people are hospitality gurus, the way they treated me and my family made us all overwhelmingly happy. Every single detail was taken into consideration and exceeded my expectations. -Once in the restaurant my son was hesitant and in seconds the chef made him a special order that suits his taste. -Snacks and pizzas are so yummy. -The hotel is nice and cozy. -The views are relaxing. -Super clean Rooms, Pools and restaurants. -The main restaurant served seafood several times. However, It was never smelly and this is a plus. -Access was available to Jaz Casa Del Mar's lovely sandy beach. Words won't express my feelings when the hotel sent me a complimentary birthday cake on my birthday and another compliment was sent the next day (fruit platter, nuts and maccarons😋😋) Special thanks to reception team members (Mohamed for his close follow up on any issue, Ibrahim for his complement and Philopater for receiving us). I recently stayed in the Sunrise Alma Bay for 8 days and the hotel atmosphere was just great. The hotel staff were so helpful. My room cleaner Ibrahim was so accommodating, friendly and efficient...and an expert in towel art! Emad at the pool bar was so welcoming and the service was excellent. Hamdy and Mohammed in the towel station/by the beach were friendly faces every morning and so helpful. Anastasia in Guest Relations came around to our table every breakfast and was able to action any little requests we had. She was very impressive with her notebook and actioning things so quickly. And lastly, when I asked to extend my room for a few hours (and very reasonable additional cost) on my last day, the Hotel Manager arranged for me to be moved to a suite on the seafront and the concierge Mahmoud was so kind in helping with my luggage and room change. I have been visiting Egypt for 10 years now and this stay has been a highlight for me because of the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, the delicious food, the pool (one of the best I have seen), and the beach front with pier and lagoona just make it the perfect location. The added bonus is that it is only about 20 mins from Hurghada airport. I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, singles and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you. Ciara

Hotellissa on pohjimmiltaan valkoisia vieraita, ja aasialaiset kasvot ovat harvinaisia, mutta en henkilökohtaisesti tunne mitään syrjintää Tapaamani hotellin henkilökunta on periaatteessa erittäin ystävällistä ja tekee aloitteen hymyillen ja tervehtimään. Vaikka huonetilat eivät ole erityisen uusia, ne puhdistetaan erittäin hyvin ja niissä ei ole hajua, erittäin raikas, mikä on hyvä kokemus. Ravintolasta on kaunis merinäköala ja ruokakin on hyväksyttävää. Illallisen jälkeen menin ulkoilemaan ja ihailemaan merituulta.

property, but service and logistics need improvement I have mixed feelings about our stay. On the positive side, the hotel is new and very well-designed. The restaurant is spacious with great indoor and outdoor seating, and the breakfast was decent. The beach is stunning—very quiet with crystal clear water—but be careful entering the sea as there are many rocks at the shoreline. However, there are several drawbacks: Service: The staff seems very inexperienced. We were charged to upgrade from a single to a double room even though the website listed them at the same price. At breakfast, we had to ask for coffee multiple times before it actually arrived. Facilities: Surprisingly, the main pool is not heated, and there is no elevator, which is worth noting if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Location: You are quite isolated here. You definitely need a car or a shuttle to get anywhere. Overall, it’s a nice physical space, but the management needs to better train the staff to match the ”new” feel of the resort.

We recently stayed at Flow Spectrum for our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt perfect. The atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the overall hospitality made our stay exceptional. A special thank you to Mr. Sayed from the Latin Restaurant his outstanding service, warm attitude, and genuine care added so much joy to our dining experiences. We also want to express our appreciation to Mr. Mohammed at the reception. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. His professionalism made our check-in and daily interactions smooth and pleasant. A very big thank you as well to Mr. Saied Abdelmoneem from Room Service. He took great care of us and made sure our room was always prepared perfectly. His attention to detail truly stood out. And we can’t forget Chef Elsayed head of chefs, whose delicious dishes made every meal memorable. His creativity, skill, and passion for food added a special touch to our honeymoon experience. We enjoyed every bite! Overall, Flow Spectrum exceeded our expectations and made our honeymoon incredibly special. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return in the future!

Erittäin kaunis ranta, arkkitehtuuri miellytti silmää! Huoneeni oli 1. kerroksessa, ja siinä oli lasiovet rullapalkilla. Lepotuoli pehmeällä pyyhkeellä heti uloskäynnissä. Voisit herätä, avata oven, juosta ja sukeltaa mereen! Erittäin kaunis alue. Läheisen ravintolan tarjoilija lähestyi minua ja tarjoutui katsomaan ruokalistaa. Yllätyin, miksi maksaa siitä, mitä on tarjolla hotellin ravintolassa valtavassa valikoimassa? Hän oli myös yllättynyt naivuudestani ja sanoi: ”Mutta meidän omamme on herkullista!” Ja hän oli oikeassa. Kävin 3 hotellissa: ruokaa oli paljon, mutta se ei ollut maukasta. Minusta tuntui niin pahalta peltopyyn ja rapujen jälkeen, että luovuin kalasta ja lihasta.

The Regina is a basic all inclusive hotel right in the centre of Hurghada. Easy walking distance to the Marina and bars, restaurants etc are right outside the front door. Majority of staff are friendly, tips get you better service (as in most places in Egypt). Samir who cleaned our bungalow was absolutely fantastic, every day he left something else in our room that helped us enjoy our stay. From a kettle (not typical to get in Egypt all inclusive) to hotel embroidered slippers and a wonderful smile every single day, I hope the management cherish him as he is simply brilliant. The bungalow was spacious enough but the shower was tiny, beds comfy, plenty of clean towels too. The food is basic and not to the standard I’ve had in other hotels in Hurghada but there was always something to have. The beer is poured in to small glasses from a bottle and all the spirits are local equivalents. If like me you need coffee early morning (before 7) then you’ll have to pay for it. They have a machine in a little cafe area and at the pool/beach bars but machine coffee is not available whilst breakfast is being served. Instead it’s provided in a huge urn and not very palatable. If you arrive before 3pm you’re not entitled to have lunch or dinner after 12 o’clock check out on your last day…they cut your band off when you check out. If you check in after 3pm then you can get a voucher from reception which allows you to have lunch. I’ve never had this at any other hotel in Egypt (this was my 18th visit) and adds to the basic feel of the hotel. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel to enjoy the ever present sunshine then the Regina could be for you.

Lovely hotel ,3 pools …pool with slides, Kids pool and then another family area with pool. We had to move rooms as we had no hot water … but they moved us no problem. The outside areas are lovely … bars around the pools … the only suggestion would be to have nibbles and also ice has to be available … the beach bar no ice at all again this is a no brainer. The food needs overhauling by a chef … hot food generally not hot enough. No chips for kids .. no burgers … the menu needs changing and the cooks need training from a chef The quality of the food needs a lot of improvement… many guests not happy one said it was a culinary catastrophe, a lot started eating out. When you get there you are given a coloured wrist band and the staff will see you are a new arrival. I saw new arrival guests get approached by on site staff selling , massages,nail and beauty makeovers,trips,and ice creams … as many as 5 approaches in 10 minutes. In 5* hotels these people are at stations around the hotel and when guests are ready they go to these stations .. they don’t get hounded …the massage guy approached me 3-4 times a day. Some of the trips need vetting The service was ok and all the staff was friendly … the animation team need new outfits .. I couldn’t really see what they did to be fair .. no games to get people involved. Overall it was a nice stay .. but there is a lot to work on .. I hope they will see this honest review and make changes … it could be a 4-5* but it will only be a 3* if they don’t make changes
