Hotel is so new! Its lobby, corridor, room, facilities and environment feel modern and new. The counter staffs seem to be around 24hr. So not to worry if you are checking in/out at wee hours. You can even deposit luggage with them after you check out. Their counter staff are very professional and good. There was once their staff helped to bring luggages to our room while we are settling bills at the counter. Hotel location is good, there is a supermarket across the road, convenience store (with coffee shop combined), below the hotel. There are few eateries as well. Need to didi to tourist attractions - Taikooli, IFS etc. Better to set pickup or dropoff location at the hotel parking lot entrance, as the door entrance (lobby) there is abit inconvenient due to the right turning road with bicycle lane which is abit dangerous. There are robots in the hotel that serves delivery. I've stayed in two different rooms due to personal arrangement. And both rooms are great.

去考試選的這家酒店，因為離考場比較近，走路衹用了七八分鐘，前台小姐姐也貼心的送上了早餐説可以有個好心情來應對考試。因為考試期間交了手機，也沒時間回來退房，下午四點才回來辦理退房手續，店家也貼心的沒多收房費。超讚，特別推薦這家，環境和服務都非常好，房間也大，字靜。

Power Stone Hotel (Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley) is one of the most comfortable and beautiful hotel we have ever stayed so far except for one: the noise of construction besides the hotel. But got to say the noise only affected us on the day we checked in at 10am after a red eye flight. I did not even hear any noise for the rest of the stay since we went out in the morning and return in the evening. The hotel is hidden away from the main road but walkable. Feels like a little paradise away from the world. It uses smart home technology in the room - to draw curtains, to on/off the lights, to on/off the television, even to ask about time, weather, date, day etc. Quite fun to give instructions to 小石. The room is clean, with convenient layout and with amenities that we should have. The hotel also provides complimentary snacks for afternoon (6 types per room) and wearing hanfu experience. There’s also a 古琴performance from 5:30 to 8:00 in the hotel compound. The hotel staff are also the friendliest and most helpful. Check in and out was very smooth. Initially they offered us rooms at level 2 but as the rooms are next to the construction site, they offered to change our rooms to level 6. Fast response from staff to all our requests made through the chatgroup. The hotel has a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. One unknown fact we got to know was that the staff on the first shift each day would disinfect the washers and dryers. Provided assurance that our clothes would be clean. Overall, it has been a great stay for me and my mum. I would love to come back again.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and easy to access. There are many shops and food options nearby, which makes it great for travelers. The breakfast is very affordable. If you register through WeChat, it only costs 20 RMB per person, which is quite cheap. The variety is not very large, but it still has everything you need for a simple and satisfying breakfast. One thing I really liked is the robot delivery service. You can order food or items from ******* anytime, and the hotel robot will deliver them directly to your room. It’s available 24/7, which is very convenient and also a fun experience.

We had a pleasant stay despite some small bumps. The price and location are both good, and the staff were very kind and professional. The room was clean, however there were small places where its age showed, such as a large old stain on the couch and damaged parts of the window railing. The shower also had some dark spots and yellowed parts. However, these were mostly cosmetic issues and didn’t negatively impact my comfort. It was convenient to have the small washing machine, the large couch was comfortable to rest on, and the snacks and breakfast were delicious. The bed was spacious and I slept well! You can hear traffic sounds from the busy street outside but it didn’t bother me. Please note that there is no safe in the room. While we were out the first day, the housekeeping staff threw away some of my belongings, such as my contacts case on the bathroom sink and plastic bags for storing my luggage. Luckily, I had replacements so this was only a small inconvenience. We didn’t want to complain and decided to just leave the “do not disturb” light on so they wouldn’t clean the room again. However, after we returned from going out the next day, we found someone had tidied the room and once again threw away some small items we needed. The housekeeping staff should be more careful not to dispose of items that aren’t in a trash can. When I let the concierge know on WeChat, they apologized and arranged gifts for us when we checked out. Ultimately, housekeeping had good intentions and the inconvenience was manageable, so I wasn’t too upset. The hotel staff handled the situation very well! The front desk staff were always extremely kind and helpful. I had many Taobao orders arrive, and they signed and stored them all for me. They even helped me make a call to a courier when I had trouble with my order. They were patient with my limited Chinese and were responsive in communicating over WeChat. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers coming to Chengdu!

It’s truly therapeutic for the soul. For those seeking a more hands-on experience, the guesthouse offers a variety of activities that are sure to delight, especially families with children. Whether it’s fishing in a tranquil stream or exploring the forest at night in search of glowworms, there’s something special for everyone. Normally, I tend to avoid hotels popular with families. But here, in this zen-like setting, the sound of children laughing and playing only adds to the charm rather than detracting from the serenity. Every corner of this retreat is a photo opportunity, and every meal is a sumptuous feast. The ancient gate transports you to another world, and the evening white mist enhances the sense of wonder. The house-made osmanthus baijiu, reserved exclusively for guests, is a refined treat that speaks to the thoughtful touches that elevate the experience. The level of care and attention to details here far exceeds the cost, leaving you feeling truly pampered by the generosity of this guesthouse and its staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel like an honored guest. I was particularly impressed by the staff and their evident training. They were polite, enthusiastic, and fully invested in ensuring that guests had a great stay. In similar boutique hotels, you might expect to see more of the owner’s presence. But at Shouzhou, the front-of-house staff take full ownership of running the property, with a level of professionalism that is both refreshing and commendable. Our journey from Qingchengshan to Qionglai and onward to Emeishan was long, but entirely worth it. We are especially grateful to the young front-of-house male staff and his colleague, who graciously offered to drive us nearly 30 minutes to a location where we could catch a Didi to Emeishan. This kind gesture was the embodiment of hospitality at its finest. I hope more people discover this hidden gem and have the chance to experience its uplifting atmosphere for themselves.

The receptionist, Rya Jiang was one of the nicest hotel people I have ever met. They checked us in despite our arrival in the morning and even upgraded us on top of that! Furthermore, during our stay we had a problem with the mobile battery rental, and they were quick to respond to our queries about it, which was very reassuring. They were waiting for us at the front desk until late at night. We received a welcome drink in the lobby on the ground floor and our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The service was as good as you would expect from the IHG Group. I would definitely stay here again in Chengdu!

Everything is satisfactory; however, my room feels uncomfortably warm as it has no windows, and the air conditioning system is limited to a heater setting during the winter season. Although my booking indicates eligibility for a room upgrade based on my Diamond tier status, no upgrade option, and only a fan has been provided.
