"Varasimme suihkulähdenäköalahuoneen huhtikuussa 2025. Valitettavasti suihkulähde oli suljettu remontin vuoksi. Kaiken kaikkiaan olen erittäin tyytyväinen hotelliin. Kohokohta oli concierge-henkilökunta, herrasmiehet olivat aina kohteliaita ja avuliaita. Sijainti on loistava, helppo kävelymatka Dubai Malliin, tai voit ottaa ilmaisen kuljetuksen. Aamiainen oli myös erittäin hyvä, ja tarjolla oli hyvä valikoima lämpimiä ja kylmiä ruokia sekä hyvää kahvia. Huone oli hieman vanhempi, mutta se oli siisti ja erittäin tilava.
Toivoisin, että ikkunat olisi pesty, jotta voisin nauttia näköalasta enemmän ja ottaa parempia valokuvia.

15 mins walk from business bay metro station (red line), 40min walk to Burj Khalifa. The location is fine. There are two 24hr supermarkets next door so very convenient
All of Dubai has new buildings going up, so no matter where you stay you will be around building work.
Clean:
Room is clean, however on one day we found the towels were not placed tidy and there was sand on the floor that was not cleaned.
Room:
We got upgraded to a Deluxe room, it's big. Room has fridge also which is a plus. Large wardrobe, desk area and large shower / bathroom.
Breakfast
Much variety of breakfast, including a chef who will cook for you. Really good choices for Asian (Chinese) pallet, Arab food and Western food.
Gym:
Great gym, some cardio machines but a full weight stack on machines and a full dumbbell rack which is rare for hotel gyms.
They have a pool, but we didnt try it. There is also a Sauna room also.
Good Things:
It's nearby enough to the station so it's easy to get to.
The room is large and clean and quiet
The AC is great, very quiet but still can make the room super cold if you want it.
Bad things:
It's what I describe as USA service, everyone is warm, friendly and available, but all seem to only do it if they expect a tip. I guess thats common
Overall:
The value of the hotel is good, the location is reasonable, the food is good and the service is acceptable. There is nothing wrong with the Hotel, but also nothing that screams Outstanding. "

"Hotel booking 14 February & 4am check in because I just arrived from Malaysia. After getting the key to the room, there were no bath towels. Contact the hotel and wait 30 minutes before the staff sends bath towels. Wifi is slow. I checked in for 4 days here and on the 18th morning I called the reception to request a late check-out at 2pm but my request was rejected by the hotel staff. At 12.45 the reception staff knocked on my room door with a rude voice telling me to quickly leave. They seemed to chase me away without any respect for customers. For me, there is no need to come and knock on the room door, just tell me how much the hotel charges if I check out late, I am willing to pay. Very disappointing service like this for Ramada By Whyndham Dubai Deira"

VVieraskäyttäjäMy husband and I had our first holiday as a family of three with our 7 month old baby at Voco Dubai The Palm Hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. Overall, it was a great holiday experience thanks to each and every member of staff!

OOmarLThe hotel is located right in the heart of Souk Al Seef, with guest rooms spread across the surrounding buildings. Electric buggy service is available to take guests to/from their rooms or to the nearby sister property, Canopy, where the gym and swimming pool are located. The surrounding offers plenty of shops, cafés, and easy access to boat rides across the creek to the Gold Souk and Spice Souk, making the location extremely convenient.
From the electric buggy drivers and receptionists to housekeepers, F&B staffs, and even the engineering team, every staff member demonstrated exceptional professionalism and warm hospitality. We truly felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Akbar provides the warmest hospitality.
Breakfast is highly recommended. The selection is fairly extensive and the quality is very good. During peak season, it is advisable to arrive early to avoid crowds.
There is a terrace on the third floor, and sitting there in the evening in January was very relaxing. It offered beautiful views of the opposite shore, the busy boat traffic along Dubai Creek, and planes taking off from Dubai International Airport.
The bed was very comfortable, and the room was extremely clean and full of characters, reflecting the charm of Dubai’s historic district. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The room lighting was quite dim. My room was located above the Starbucks, and there were many people taking photos late at night and early in the morning, so soundproofing could be improved. The hairdryer could not be used in the bathroom and had to be plugged in inside the room due to the outlet configuration. The drawer-style refrigerator had no cooling effect at all. The TV remote control did not function properly—it could only turn the TV on and off, with no function to change channels or adjust the volume. The shower water pressure was weak, and the hot water temperature fluctuated frequently.
Aside from these issues, everything else was excellent. I really enjoyed the hotel’s overall style and found the stay very comfortable. If the points mentioned above can be adjusted, I believe the overall guest experience would be significantly enhanced.

From the reception team to those assisting with the elevators, everyone was incredibly helpful. I also had a delightful conversation with the Filipino staff, which added a personal touch to my visit. The breakfast offered was not as extensive as anticipated, but it was still enjoyable and of good quality! And the handcrafted coffee, it was a real treat compared to the usual machine-dispensed options—100/10! While it took a little time for the water to warm up in the bathrooms, the room itself was fantastic—definitely a 10/10. Balconies are locked by default for safety, but you can ask the hotel to make it available for you. Only 4-5 mins walk from Jumeirah Beach Residence 1 tram station. I will highly recommend this hotel to friends and family!

The breakfast was decent—some options, but not a huge variety, and the same every day. The nearest metro station is actually only a 10–15 minute walk, despite Google Maps showing an hour due to construction detours—so public transport is very accessible. Lastly, there is a shuttle service, but you need to register a day in advance. Overall, a solid stay with easy transit access!

SSofia_PoeWhen I arrived, the room I had originally booked was unavailable, so I was upgraded to a suite instead.
The suite was well equipped, with a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee provided. Amenities included soap, shampoo and body wash, as well as a toothbrush and toothpaste (though there was no conditioner). Everything was clean and functional.
The staff were mostly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I was also able to book a ticket to the Museum of the Future through a tour agency at the hotel. The price was higher than the official ticket (250 vs 169), but as tickets were sold out on the official website, it was still a convenient option and better than missing out entirely.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of options and generally good quality.
Overall, a comfortable stay with helpful service and solid facilities.

EEva G.After a disappointing stay earlier this week at another 4-star hotel in Tecom, I decided to try Novotel Al Barsha for the weekend, mainly because Swiss Butter Steakhouse is inside the hotel. My friend Hannah and I checked in with a mix of curiosity and hope for a better experience.
The hotel does seem busy, which contradicts what some other guests have said. To their credit, we were given our room right away at check-in. I had booked a Superior Twin Room and specifically requested a higher floor for a better view. I also accepted a smoking room, understanding the compromise, but the overwhelming smell of smoke in the hallway left me wondering: shouldn’t a 4-star hotel manage this better?
Upon entrance, to our surprise, we found a joined single bed instead of twins. We called reception, hoping to move rooms, but they offered to just separate the beds. Regret hit when we saw how small the single beds were! Honestly, if you’re tall or on the bigger side, this setup will not be comfortable—especially if you’re staying with friends or family. To add, the bed’s mattress clearly needed flipping, as there was an obvious slope that made it uncomfortable to sleep on.
Adding to the unfortunate, despite being on the 25th floor, there was no view to speak of—something we were really looking forward to. It felt like a missed opportunity, especially given the hotel’s location and our specific request for a high floor.
The bathroom was another letdown. The tissue holder was almost broken, the materials inside looked cheap, and the toilet bowl was not properly cleaned, with visible brown markings—pretty gross for a 4-star hotel. Thankfully, the bathtub was at least clean, so that was something.
On the bright side, the highlight of this hotel is definitely their spa and pool. We were given discount vouchers for Soul and Senses Spa, and my masseuse, Shatria, did a great job. The pool is a decent size and clean, while the sauna and steam room were perfect. The health club overall is the ace of this place.
For breakfast, I agree with other reviews—it’s decent. The restaurant was packed in the morning, but the vibe was good. However, they don’t escort guests to tables; you just find a seat yourself, which is fine but felt a bit unpolished.
One odd thing I noticed: while housekeeping did try their best to fulfill our requests—like providing coffee capsules and water—there was no creamer for the coffee and tea. Even 3-star hotels provide that, so it was a first for me (maybe it was just the standard).
Despite these minimal disappointments, I still try to see the positive side of this hotel and did my best to take decent photos that you may see for reference.
Overall, it seems like this hotel mainly caters to group tourists, which makes me wonder if they’re sacrificing quality for quantity. I hope they work on improving their services, including room quality, views, and attention to detail, so they can leave a better impression of Dubai for future guests.

However, the reception staff's behavior was nothing new. Check-in was at 3:00 PM, but I arrived at 2:30 PM. They told me my room would be ready in half an hour, then told me to wait 10 minutes, then 15 minutes, and finally, I received my room at 5:00 PM. Furthermore, one employee acted inappropriately when she learned I was Arab. She asked me if I was Arab, and when I said yes, she laughed.
