When we arrived, the room was full of ants, and the housekeeping staff sprayed the room with insecticide and cleaned the room immediately."

"Host was very warm and welcoming us when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay even only for 1 night. They provide water dispenser which is very convenient. Some games card and physical were also provided and my kids love to play them. It makes them occupied than attached to their gadget. The bed is soooo comfy. "Although I give the resort good marks overall I still have somewhat mixed feelings. For two days of the trip we stayed in a superior bungalow which is obviously the oldest part of the resort accommodations. They are really very small and there is very little room for bags and clothes and the bathroom is very small. Also our room was back to back attached to another bungalow and there was very little sound proofing between the rooms. After two nights we upgraded to the newest part of the resort near the pool....and yes...it cost a bit more. But the rooms overlooking the pool are much more spacious and have adequate closet space and bathroom . They gave us a discount on the upgrade and it was well worth it. The breakfast was adequate but not extensive. The staff was very helpful. It's in a good location on the beach near the ferry port....which was handy."

"Stayed here for 3 nights, Rooms are chalet concept. 5mins walk from the pier. Pros - Lots of beach chairs - Quite beach (away from the noisy boats and safer to swim) - Provide beach towels - Massage hut by the beach (run separately by a different operator) - 5mins walk to walking street - Provide snorkelling gear for rental - Breakfast was ok. Restaurant food was good. - Friendly staff - Awesome mini fridge (super cold) Cons - Restaurant closes at 7pm - WiFi is not stable at all - The hotel sewerage system is not so good hence there’s a smell (bare-able) from the bathroom. Both our rooms were like that. Just mask it with the air refresherner they provided."

"Castaway is by far the best resort on Koh Lipe. It's quiet and tucked away from the busy walking street. It is perfect for anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to unwind and read a book and just check-out from busy life. A shout out to the Joy and Saul at the dive shop. Most resorts advertise having a dive shop but in reality what they have is an arrangement with a local dive center who pick you up and drop you off. Castaway's dive shop is in the resort and very friendly and professional. If you are a diver go talk to Joy, she's an amazing teacher."

"This is my 2nd time stay here. The hotel is very close to the jetty and night walk. Easy access to restaurants. We got new rooms as they are renovating the resort. I was disappointed with the breakfast. Food not replenish fast and the place not sufficient. The only table for us to sit for breakfast was under the sun and asked for the beach umbrella ti be plsced near the tsble but was denied but later was provided to others. Its ok as I hope the next visit there is sufficient shaded place for breakfast. I love the pool which is overseas the sea. Its a very good place to stay."
