"We stayed at LC Goryokaku Hotel during our family trip to Hakodate and were pleasantly surprised by how well it suited our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Goryokaku Park and the Tower, which made it easy for us to explore the area with our kids without needing transportation all the time.
The room was clean, spacious enough for a small family, and had thoughtful touches like slippers, toiletries, and even a small seating area where we could unwind. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the quiet at night, which made it easy for the children to fall asleep.
The hotel also offers free drinks in the lounge, which was a nice touch, and there's a laundry area, which is very useful when traveling with kids."

"Cool little hotel hidden away in a corner of Hakodate. It's still walking distance from the station and other sights, the price is extremely affordable and they have snacks machines in the lobby. I got a very ”chilly” vibe from the lobby - the staff are just standing around in silence, no music, seems kind of dreary? They could do something to make the lobby area seem more pleasant and fun, but overall I was happy to get such a great deal, and I would stay there again."

"This is a budget hotel that is located near the station. Although I say budget, they do have complimentary breakfast with a few items changing every day. I like their breakfast buffet because it is healthy. I always make sure to choose the cooked items like the rice and the vegetables and meat rather than cereals and bread.
They only have one size for the pyjamas, and it was too big for me. But the material is comfortable, and it's good enough to be used as pyjamas."

Lovely hotel. People working here are really kind and will do their best to recommend places you want to see. Close enough to old town (a little bit of a walk) but more local area. Possible to walk to the morning market and JR Station (about 15 minutes) and there's other restaurants quite close by as well (including one that is famous for the salt ramen of Hakodate). The hostel itself was clean, and comfortable. Hakodate was wonderful to visit for a few nights as well and I could have easily stayed longer at this hostel!

Super comfy local hotel with a warm Japanese-style breakfast. Really liked the pajamas provided by the hotel. We parked our car here with a one-time entrance fee. It’s right next to Hakodate Morning Market and super convenient.

The lovely old gentleman serving as at night was one of the best front desk staff I’ve ever met.
We originally planned to arrive at the property in the afternoon. However, our flight was cancelled and we had to seek alternative, delaying our arrival time until 23:00. When we arrive, we thought we will be self-checking in. But as we step inside the property from a heavy snow, we saw this kind gentleman waiting for us right at the door. He greeted us, helped us check in, and explained everything clearly. He offered us free flow free drinks and free ice cream (which was also very tasty) When we wanted to have some late night snacks bought from a convenient store, he also helped us reheat the food. 誠にありがとうございます！
Everything else was great as well! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was yummy, and it’s so nice to have a hot spring after out in the cold for the entire day.

It’s just next to JR Hakodate station, bus terminus is just in front of the hotel and the city tram stop is within 5 mins walking distance.
The morning fish market is just nearby across the road from JR Hakodate station.
The buffet breakfast is good with a wide variety including frozen grapes, frozen berries etc.
Also, the Hakodate Tourist Information Center is located within JR Hakodate Station. I made full use of my 2D 1N stay in Hakodate by purchasing the “Hakodate Special Ticket 2025”(はこだてスペシャルチケット2025) from the Tourist Information Center.
The ticket includes ”Transportation Ticket” City Tram 1-Day Pass + ”12-Points Ticket” (1 point = ¥250) and covers admission fees to Goryokaku Tower, Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward and Mt. Hakodate Ropeway (two-way).

Convenient to visit Goryogaku park and surrounding areas, abundant of restaurant and bars nearby
Room size is OK, best it's with onsen spa and free massage chair, quite relaxing to use after one day travel.
Front desk is very nice to explain every steps going to mount Hakodate, bravo to the team front desk team!

Perfect location surrounded by minimarts, restaurants and seafood markets, the main train and bus stations are just few minutes walk away. As a solo traveler, the room is spacious and comfortable enough. While there’s no daily cleaning service, only towels are provided, it’s adequate for my two-night stay. The staffs are courteous and professional. The hotel offers a beverage counter with free coffee and soda, which is a real plus!

The room itself was a little bit small and quite cramped. Just about enough space for one. But if you are plus sized it might seem too small. The toilet was also slightly narrow.
Facilities were great, with onsen available. Within touching distance of the local public street car and bus stop. Front desk were really friendly and helpful despite the limited English spoken. They also operate early from 8am till fairly late 10pm. And the nearest konbini was also only about 200m away.
