"Unbeatable location just opposite JR Ashahikawa and directly opposite Aeon. Room lighting is dimmed, and size is rather small with 2 single beds. Central controlled air conditioner, and the window can only be opened a small gap so can be rather stuffy. Great buffet breakfast. Overall a 4/5."

"Very professional hotel and the rooms have a cool layout. I love that the windows actually open so you can get fresh air. The mattresses are very firm (good for your back) but the pillows are kind of weird memory foam blocks, so that was a bit awkward. I put a shirt under one pillow to bring it up to normal height for my neck. They are too low otherwise but stacking two of them is way too much, I would suggest putting a mixture of fluffy normal pillows and these memory foam things. Otherwise the hotel is pretty great, relaxed atmosphere, right on the main street and very close to two different Lawson kombinis, and a Mister Donut is literally right next door and stays open late. So you're in a great spot. You can do anything at R Hotels. I felt really good energy and the staff were super professional and friendly. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip."

"The hotel definitely needs to improve on their cleanliness. There are lashes extension found at the bath tub, sink and around the toilet ( should be from the previous guest)upon check in. Some dirty stains near the window as well. The hotel does not provide room cleaning services ( if I'm not mistaken only for guest staying 4 nights and above). We are staying 2 night, so they only give change of towels which they hang outside the door handle in the morning. You have to place ur own trash outside the room door in the morning urself as well. There is parking available but none of us ( we came with another 2 friends) can park our car as it's only for car height 1.5m below. So we have to park our car at public parking space near hotel that charges 900-1100yen per 24 hours. No proper place for you to stop car and unload your luggage Infront of the hotel as well. It's especially difficult when the road is full with snows as well. The only good thing is the location. Walking distance to a lot restaurant, konbini, and aeon."
