"Not been to too many hostels, but this probably takes the #1 spot. The lobby/gathering area is so spacious, open concept, seats all around, pple could easily mingle. A small courtyard in between 2 blocks of accom. Beds are clean and comfortable, curtains available for your own privacy and lights bright enough alongside the bed.
Location-wise, really central to the few places i wanted to see, all within walking distance(or perhaps it was the location that selected the sights for me)."

Tervetuloa Way Hostel Madridiin! Olemme aivan kaupungin keskustassa, vain muutaman minuutin päässä pääkaupungin ikonisimmista nähtävyyksistä. Erinomaisesta sijainnistamme käsin voit kävellä Puerta del Solille, Plaza Mayorille, Kultaisen kolmion taidemuseoille ja sunnuntaisin ja pyhäpäivinä kuuluisalle El Rastro -kirpputorille. Me täällä Way Hostel Madridissa teemme kovasti töitä, jotta tuntisit olosi kotoisaksi.
Hostellimme vangitsee reppureissaamisen ytimen: tuo ihmiset yhteen jakamaan huoneen, tarjoaa ensimmäisen aamukahvin, tarjoaa useita erilaisia ilmaisia retkiä, vietetään iltoja kaupungilla... löydät kaiken täältä. "It was a very pleasant trip. The staff was very patient. The 24-hour front desk could provide timely help and service. The environment of the 6-person girls' dormitory was very clean and tidy, and the blackout curtain was also very good. There was no need to worry about affecting others."

This was my second stay at this hostel and it's still amazing. One of the best hostels I have stayed at in Europe. It is well located - right off the Mayor Plaza. Close to bus routes and not too far from the subway.
The hostel staff are super friendly and always available - 24hr front desk. They are hapy to have a chat with you and make recommendations and give advice - or just sing along to whatever is playing from the bar. They weresuper gracious and helped to arrange my friends and I in the same room - even though we all had individual bookings.
The rooftop is excellent. We spent several siesta's up there; reading and chatting and having a drink. Just note that the rooftop bar is a public space and at times sections of it are booked for events. But otherwise the view of the rooftops and the church dome are worth it.
The rooms are spacious enough, as is the private bathroom. There are additional bathrooms on each floor - gendered. The bunk ladders are a little steep on the steps - my shorter friend struggled getting up to her bunk - we had to use the foot stool to assist. But the ability to have two people using the bathroom in the room at a time made for easy use - especially with only 6 people in our dorm.
The free margarita making each night from 9pm and the bar crawl are worth checking out. My friend also also did the walking tour - and said she found it super informative and. chill. Lots of food recommendations and the group all grabbed lunch together after the tour.

It’s a very nice location with almost all attractions in walking distance. The only drawback I can say is that no certain for each bed so less privacy.
Anyway, I do enjoy the stay in Madrid and if I go back to Madrid somehow I’d love to stay here again.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a quiet room but I was on the ground floor so I could could hear the neighbors next door and above my head, but by midnight they were quiet. Idid not eat the food so I cannot comment. Convenient for one night and the 001 bus to Atocha very close.

The location is convenient.
The staff are friendly
I like the public area on the ground floor, if there could be more charging place would be nice.
However, only 2 bathroom for 12 people is not enough. One of the bathroom only have cold water and the sink is outside the toilet.
I think it is a fair option for such a price in the city, still there is an improvement.
If you are a solo traveller that need a short stay, it is an acceptable choice.

I was in a shared female dorm. Nice bed and location. A towel was provided but be prepared for a cold water shower. No real kitchen to speak of. Just a small iced over fridge and microwave. It’s in a nice location and easy to walk to all the hot spots.

This was a converted apartment, with private bedrooms and shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. The place was impressively clean throughout our stay, with cleaners coming through each morning. You are also provided a key to lock the bedroom door so we didn't have any concerns about security. Wifi also worked fine and there was mobile reception (this must've been fixed from older reviews).
Having access to a kitchen made it easy to have breakfast in and you are allocated a shelf in the communal fridge. The other guests were very respectful, which helped create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. That said, it’s worth noting this is not a party-style stay — it works best if everyone is mindful that it’s a shared environment as noise does travel through the hallway.
The bedroom itself was large and spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space.
Location-wise, it’s slightly outside the very centre — not right in the middle of the action — but still very accessible. We were about a 20-minute walk to Plaza Mayor and ended up walking most places, and there’s also a metro station less than 5 minutes away if needed.
Overall, a great option if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-connected place to stay in Madrid, especially if you don’t mind being just outside the busiest areas.

The accommodation was clean. They don’t have a lift, but it’s alright to walk a few stairs. Shared bathroom and toilet. Water for showering was hot enough. There is a fan in the room. The location was close to a 24 hour supermarket. The downside is that there was not water boiler for people who need hot water:( but overall it’s good

The room was impecable. Though I would like to have a little rack on the shower to place my shampoo and conditioner bottles. The bed was comfortable but I wish they had individual pillows instead of just one long noodle-like pillow. The window blinds were extremely hard to scroll up. Regarding the automatic check-in, I had to call the hostel number for them to give me the reservation number which I did not know. It took me a while to complete the check-in. They should also let the visitors know that they have to walk upstairs so light luggage is recommended here.

The staff is nice and friendly, beds are clean and comfortable. They provide blankets and pillow only, bring your own towels and sandals, and locks if you want to lock your locker. The community fridge is a nice touch but my breakfast got stolen, so put stuff there at your own risk.There are some weird men who loiters in the dining/waiting area at around 7am when I went to get my breakfast, they might be the culprit😤
The location is perfect!! It's 10 minutes of walking distance from the train station, which is gteat because I arrive pretty late and need to leave quite early.
