"旅館具工業風，地理位置不錯，步行可到運河邊，即達多間著名食店，例如霸味，王氏魚皮；走路去安平古堡/樹屋大致是20分鐘。
房間不算很大，衛生一般，較麻煩是浴厠合一，而洗手盆位設於浴厠外面，由於洗澡花灑沒設浴簾，洗澡後幾乎整個厠所計座厠都會濕了，而去完厠所洗手則要到厠所外邊，整體設計不太方便。另外，還有很多人提及的隔聲問題，之前我們也很担心；由於我們的房間一邊窗戶向大廳，旅客晚上在大廳談天、出入開關房門都聽得很清楚，加上旅館的工業風設計，沒有太收藏排水喉和抽風機，以致相對應聲；建議對聲音敏感的旅客帶備耳塞。
我們可能是周六晚入住，雖然已告知入住時間，但抵達時大門上鎖，沒有任何人。透過其他外出的旅客提醒打電話給負責人，才知房間號碼及入住安排；由於旅館沒有電梯，我們把行李拿到三樓才發現給了錯誤的雙人房；再打電話問負責人才告知應該是二樓。連其他前後與旅館的溝通，感覺旅館不太像一般民宿的親切和好客。下次再去安平會選擇其他旅館。"

"We stayed here for 1 night. 1 km.walk from Tainan Station is not too much. You have to add LINE to contact the property then you will get the instructions to check in. This place is more like a homey B&B not an inn.
My kids loved this place and enjoyed every single minute. It is worth to stay if you travel with toddlers."

I wanted to take a moment to commend the late shift staff on the 14th. They were extremely helpful and attentive, addressing all my queries with a friendly demeanor. Similarly, the young lady on the day shift was also very welcoming and supportive.
Initially, I was quite upset as I had to wait outside for someone to let me in. Given the intense heat and my struggle to drag my luggage from the train station, it was quite uncomfortable. I later learned that the receptionist had stepped away for a moment, which I understand. Despite the challenging conditions, the staff's positive attitude ultimately made my experience much more pleasant. Thank you for your assistance!"

There are plenty of ATMs and places to eat nearby. It was a fine budget choice."

After a lovely two weeks in Narita, Busan, Seoul, Macau, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, I never thought that Tainan would be my coziest stay, but it really was! My room was so spacious and clean, which was so great, since I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac about hotel sanitation. Spending my days wandering around Tainan and then coming home to the Red House, turning on a kdrama on the flat-screen TV, and drifting off to sleep on my comfy lil futon, genuinely might've been the highlights of my trip :) Great job, please keep it up!!!

The location couldn’t be better—right across from Tainan Park, it’s peaceful yet still within walking distance to the train station and local eateries. The atmosphere of the inn feels both cozy and refreshing, surrounded by greenery that makes you forget you’re in the middle of the city.
The room was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with natural light, soft bedding, and just the right touch of simplicity. Every detail showed the owner’s care—from the locally roasted coffee in the common area to the warm welcome when I arrived. I especially loved the small garden space where you can relax with a cup of tea in the afternoon.
What stood out most was the hospitality. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready with local travel tips and food recommendations. Their genuine kindness made me feel like I was visiting an old friend rather than staying at a hotel.
I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tainan. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates comfort, warmth, and a touch of nature in the heart of the city.

VVieraskäyttäjäJ’ai passé une nuit dans cet hostel et je tiens d’abord à souligner la gentillesse et l’accueil chaleureux du personnel. L’équipe est vraiment agréable et disponible.
En revanche, mon expérience dans le dortoir a été très décevante. La chambre n’a pas de fenêtre, ce qui est déjà assez inconfortable, mais le principal problème vient des arrivées tardives. L’établissement accepte des check-in très tard dans la nuit ; à 23h, un membre du personnel est entré dans le dortoir et a allumé toutes les lumières pour installer un nouvel arrivant, réveillant tout le monde. L’ambiance générale dans le dortoir était également assez irrespectueuse, et l’on sent que l’espace est optimisé au maximum au détriment du confort des voyageurs.
Au final, même si le personnel est adorable, la qualité de sommeil est tellement impactée que la nuit a été très difficile. Dommage, car quelques ajustements pourraient vraiment améliorer l’expérience.

MMANSOOR LARIThe hostel is easy to reach from train and bus station walking around 30 minutes. The front desk staff are very professional and have good online check in form.
The sitting area is quite good and traditional and have a reasonable pantry with free hot drinks and some snacks.
The dorm rooms are of good size with large spacious bed with curtains. The shower and toilets are on different floors and are reasonably clean.
The building looks quite a traditional structure and you need to climb several steps and the staircases are very long and narrow. If you have many luggage and suitcases you will have a good workout in reaching your room.
Overall the place gives a good traditional experience of Tainan and Taiwan and its worth the money charged. The location is the most ideal and you can walk to nearly all important tourist places from here. They also provide their own folded direction map.
This was for me the best professionally managed owner managed hostel I have ever stayed in and you really feel immersed in Tainan staying at this Hostel.

FFelicityfyMy booking consisted of 2 double beds however due to a mismatch of details from trip, upon contacting the homestay, they notified that they only provide 1 double bed for every room.
Other than that mishap, the stay was pleasant enough. Be prepared for the steep steps of Tainan.
Other issues with the homestay was that there were no toothbrush/toothpaste provided, no proper bathroom mat (it was the spongy type), no proper heating in the room. The entrance was a bit hard to find especially when it gets dark.
They provided 2 waterbottles for us and subsequent refills were obtained from the dispenser in the main area on Level 1. There is a public fridge and toilet in the main area too.
Closeby amenities include street food alleyway with some clothes shops, 7/11, Watsons. Location was a bus ride away from Tainan Metro so relatively convenient! But .taxi would be even better.

IInuuuuuVanha mies kapteeni Hostel on voittamaton sijainti TRA Tainan Station edessä, joten se on erittäin mukava matkustajille. Kuitenkin sisäänkäynti on hieman hankala löytää, koska se on sisällä FamilyMart asemalla, joten se vei minut jonkin aikaa selvittää, miten päästä sisään. On myös Ubike asema lähellä, joka tekee tutkia kaupunki todella helppoa.
Henkilökunta oli ystävällinen ja puhui englantia hyvin, mikä teki sisäänkirjautumisen ja yleisen viestintä sujuva.
