Best hotel in Taipei. The hotel is wonderful and the attention to details is outstanding. Furthermore the staff is delicate and very kind and attentive. I definitely recommend this hotel and will come back.

Location is excellent. The hotel sits between 2 subway stations therefore making going around the city very easy. We had rented a car and was able to park for free during our stay. The mall next to the hotel is very convenient as we were able to pick up simple wardrobes and traveling essentials.

An excellent hotel with a fantastic breakfast spread! A bevy of attentive hotel staff at the lobby to deal with your every whim and need, even knowing which bank allows you to change old NT notes to new ones. Impressive. A good place to be and relax

I am extremely satisfied with my overall experience at Hotel Royal Beitou. The hotel’s location is superb, conveniently close to the train station and various tourist attractions, making it an ideal choice for travelers. The pricing is also very reasonable, offering great value for the quality of service and amenities provided. The room was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with a wide range of facilities and amenities that catered to all my needs. The in-room toiletries, especially the shower products, were of high quality and a pleasure to use. I also appreciated the thoughtful additions such as scented candles, a sound system, a dehumidifier, and unique snacks and beverages. The only minor issue was that the TV’s internet connection was down, which prevented me from watching any programs. The service provided by the hotel staff was exceptional. They were friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Upon check-in, they took the time to introduce all the room facilities in detail, which was very helpful. The breakfast offered by the hotel was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences. Overall, my stay at Hotel Royal Beitou was a delightful experience, thanks to its prime location, well-appointed rooms, and outstanding service. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Beitou for hot spring relaxation.

The service was terrible. I booked this hotel with 2 meals. , for dinner, they said we could not order the expensive menu, so we ordered within what they advised us. The oysters were not very fresh, and the soup was so blended, and there was no taste. We did not enjoy our meal much, and then once we finished, they gave us the bill with additional charge. I asked yhat lady what this additional charge for, then that lady did not even know what is wrong at the first. and then she called other senior lady, and she came back to us and explained like, ”This menu you ordered was actually not included in your meal plan. But it's okay since it's our fault, we will not charge to you. It's okay we will take this additional chages. ” I felt like... they are not generously allowing us something or giving services. Was so uncomportable. And the guy who work in the spa place on 2nd floor was so rude. Cheng? Chen? He was so rude and not quite nice. Also, for the outside spa(pool?), i know a lot of othe hotels spa allow people to use the shower cap on ther hair, but they said i should buy the swimming cap. Was so strict, so even we had the swimsuits, we were not able to use the outside spa(pool?). I paid almost 600$ and this hotel does not deserve to get this much amount. I do not recommend this hotel never ever.

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. I had an excellent stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The location is unbeatable—right next to Taipei 101 and in the heart of the Xinyi district, making it so convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm and attentive. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff always greeted me with a smile. My room was spacious, very clean, and well-designed, with a comfortable bed and a great view of Taipei 101. Housekeeping kept everything spotless during my stay. Breakfast was another highlight—the buffet had a wide variety of delicious choices, both Western and Asian, and everything was fresh. I also appreciated the hotel facilities, especially the gym and pool, which were well maintained. Overall, I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Taipei for anyone visiting the city. It truly delivers a luxury experience with comfort, excellent service, and perfect location. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taipei.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect for Families — Comfortable & Convenient Our family had an amazing stay here. The room was spacious enough for all of us, with comfortable beds and thoughtful touches that made our stay relaxing. The hotel’s cleanliness was impressive, and housekeeping did an excellent job each day. Location was ideal — plenty of food choices, convenience stores, and MRT stations nearby. Moving around the city was very easy. What we appreciated most was the warm and friendly service. Staff greeted us sincerely every time and helped with directions, transport bookings, and recommendations. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with options suitable for both adults and kids. Overall, a fantastic choice for families looking for comfort and convenience.

The hotel is near the MRT and walking distance to the thermal valley. Easy to walk to the local market to explore the area for food, fruits and local fish and vegetables stalls. The hotel room is big and clean with free tidbits, cold drinks in the fridge. One plus point is able to enjoy hot spring inside the room. Breakfast is simple and limited choices.

The location of the Hotel isn't that convenient to go to, so it's recommend to look at their shuttle bus timing or simply book an Uber to ride up the hill. Each room that you book also comes with a 1x free visit to the outdoor Spa facilities so I highly suggest you to bring a swim wear to go as it's pretty good even at night time. As for the room it's spacious like other reviews photos have shown but not a lot of people have shown the bathroom/toilet so I'm including it here. It's a very spacious Toilet with the bathtub that has the Onsen water, and the shower head beside the bathtub.
