The location is fantastic! It’s a remote hotel not far from the Fuzhi Rice Terraces. It’s a great place for the summer time when you want to relax by the pool and have a walk amongst the fields. They had fireworks which was a lovely touch. I maybe go back. However, the place is very dirty and is in need of a deep clean. There was a dirty plate in our room, the door on the inside of our bathroom is black at the bottom, the pool needs a clean and the tiles need fixing, the white curtains in the dining area are old and need replacing, there is dust in the corners or the windows as you eat. This place is great but it could be SO much better with a deep clean every month. There are different members of staff and the man on the last day was much more attentive than the first day. Instead of being on the phone, those men could be cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the place. It’s too expensive for what you get.

Grand House Shaoxing was an 4000 years old village which had an ancient history, villagers surname Si (姒）were Dayu‘s (大禹)tomb guards for thousands of years. Now it is as a beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities ! Breakfast had many local specialties were very delicious ! It’s also had a big restaurant and wedding banquet hall ! Room is beautiful as in my photos. Hotel located only 4 KM from city centre, as taxi only cost less A$7. We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed peaceful country life, also the very busy tourist spot ! I must mention all the stuff in the hotel are so helpful, specially the young man who greeted us on arrival in the rain at night, helping us changed room because I can’t get to upstairs loft ! I hope more tourists visit Shaoxing and stay in this hotel, because it is a totally different experience from big city like Shanghai or Beijing, and you will not regret it.

Main purpose was to eat delicious Shaoxing cuisine and drink yellow wine. All within easy walking distance! And the town is so charming and peaceful as a quick respite from Shanghai craziness. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Even with a language barrier, it was easy to communicate using translation tools and sign language. The older woman working the desk at night, the breakfast cook and the younger woman at desk during the day were all extremely kind. Quite enjoyable - highly recommended!

they put 2 double beds together to make a king bed, which wasn't ideal. the room could have been colder and more air conditioned provided it was 35 degrees celsius outside the whole time. i think it was over priced especially for the national holiday. good location otherwise and in the middle of a lot of bustle. staff was super friendly! the breakfast view was better than the actual breakfast-- the food quality was just okay.

The hotel is in an extremely convenient location for accessing tourist attractions, and it’s also very close to both the train station and the bus stop. The hostess is incredibly enthusiastic, giving guests detailed advice on the best places to visit and the most efficient ways to get around. When guests check out, she even gives them a small gift as a token of appreciation. You truly feel valued here. Next time I visit Shaoxing, I’ll definitely choose to stay here again! 酒店位置极其便利，去各个景点都很方便，离火车站和公交车站也非常近。老板娘非常热情，会详细指导客人去哪里观光以及最便捷的交通方式。客人退房时还会收到她准备的小礼物，让人倍感重视。下次来绍兴一定还会选这里！

Absolutely beautiful hotel! The owners were very friendly and took great care of us. They gave us lots of recommendations as well. Very clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Definitely a must visit, if you travel to Shaoxing. Foreigners are very welcome! 绝对美丽的酒店！老板非常友好，对我们照顾得很好。他们还给了我们很多推荐。房间非常干净，早餐也很美味。如果你去绍兴旅行，这里绝对值得一住。外国人也非常受欢迎！ 😊

The location of the hotel is great, close to lots of eateries and Luxun old residence. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator but they brought one of the luggage upstairs to the room. It was quite noisy at night due to the airconditionings outside the window. However they provided earplugs when asked and it made a huge difference, slept real well.

應該説整體是高出我的預期，雖然預訂之前也看到過圖片，但是到了現場，景色還是非常漂亮，入住的這幾天夜色降臨後，坐在草坪上納涼觀月聊天，非常愜意。服務也非常好，所有的工作人員無論是前台還是打掃房間的阿姨、餐飲部的員工，都很客氣，給人以親切的感覺，我帶去的寵物在我們外出遊玩時越獄逃出房間，很熱心的幫助解決。原計劃沒有打算在民宿就餐，但有一天玩耍得累了不高興外出，晚飯在民宿解決，意外獲得一致好評，第2天的晚上推掉了原先預訂的熱門餐館，還選擇在民宿就餐。總之如果下次再來新昌，這家會優先考慮。

The boss help to upgrade a bigger room upon my request for quiet room which facing residental area for free. Thank you boss. The room is big and clean. It is about 15-20min walk to mingzhu subway station. Otherwise, can take 2 stops by bus to the subways station. The bus stop is just outside the motel. Water may accumulate on floor in aashroom after bath, not a big issue, can just swipe it with floor wiper well prepared in the washroom.
