We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

our stay has been an exceptionally pleasant experience. From the room to service attitude and communication efficiency to the entire process, everything was truly satisfying. The staff were attentive and patient, handling issues quickly and professionally. Overall, the experience exceeded expectations and is one I would highly recommend.

Accommodation: The accommodation itself exceeds a 5-star hotel standard. From the moment you enter the room, it is clear that every element has been carefully considered. The design, attention to detail, and overall comfort reflect the work of a top-tier designer. As designers ourselves, we truly appreciated the thoughtful colour schemes, lighting choices, and smart conveniences throughout the space. Features such as the fully automatic toilet, comfortable shower, and stylish humidifier added to the sense of luxury and refinement. It is this meticulous attention to detail that truly sets this accommodation apart from others. Location: Located in Yuhu Village, a charming Naxi village, the setting is both authentic and peaceful. The village atmosphere, friendly locals, and lovely coffee shops and bakeries make it a joy to explore. A particular highlight is the close-up view of Yulong Snow Mountain, which adds a breathtaking natural backdrop to the entire experience. Customer Service & Staff: The customer service was outstanding. We received thoughtful, personalised tips and guidance to make our stay in Lijiang as enjoyable as possible—far from generic recommendations, the suggestions were clearly tailored to our personal interests and needs. The staff are exceptionally warm, friendly, and generous, and they genuinely make you feel welcome. It is evident that they love what they do, and that passion translates into an atmosphere where guests truly feel valued. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. We were deeply touched by the manager’s generosity and thoughtful parting gifts. We were staying in Lijiang for a few days and this was our Stay for the duration,directly in the Center of Oldtown at the Perfect Location. This is probably our favourite place in our travels in China. The Room was Spacious and Spotless clean. Since we were there in Winter the nights got quite cold but the modern heater made it warm and cozy.You also get so many snacks/tee and coffee. The whole Place feels like from a traditional fairytale With the Garden, the cute pets, and the hundreds if not thousands of Succulents and Flowers. Auntie makes a nice mixed breakfast and the Boss is super friendly too. The biggest Highlight was A Zhong though. He collected us from the Airport and also dropped us off when we had to leave in a classy mercedes. During our Stay he made sure we got everything we needed and more.Once we left Lijiang i lost my phone in Shang hai right before we had to leave the country, and he helped us to retrieve it from the police Station by getting us in touch with a local Police officer. Truly the best Guy there is. We will return to Lijiang one day and stay here again anytime!!

The accommodation was tastefully decorated and designed. They had bathroom fixtures like Hansgrohe & even provided a Dyson hair dryer. The room created a retreat-like atmosphere, it was very relaxing. They also have a dedicated laundry area. Had early morning activities both days so ended up not having breakfast but the aunty at the kitchen allowed us to take away some of the breakfast items. She was really sweet and helpful. When we arrived, the owner arranged a car to pick us up and gave us a fruit basket, biscuits etc. His hospitality was very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. He also arranged for a car to send us off which was very helpful early in the morning. The view from the room was really pretty as you can see the mountain and it overlooked the ancient town.

I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

Decided to book Orange inn after reading all the good review. It turn out to be a good choice. My family of three enjoyed our stay. Cosy and comfortable room. Quiet and clean. Beautiful ambient. Excellent location.  Super helpful & kind boss. Speedy response on enquiry, which I appreciated much.

絕了絕了 看圖都知道這個客棧我真的愛了哈哈 連住了四個晚上 睡到自然醒 然後出去溜達溜達 晚上回到客棧裏往椅子上一躺 簡直不要太愜意 。老闆的審美和品味絕對一流 雖在古城裡 但屬實是鬧中取靜的一個好地方 喧鬧的古城進來的一瞬間就安靜了 離路口也是非常近。老闆人非常nice 基本是有求必應了 每天還有好喝還不要錢的咖啡哈哈哈 打掃衞生的阿姨人也很好 總之 我對這裡是非常滿意 如果以後再去 依舊選擇這裏

Mr. Ma, owner of this hotel, was extremely friendly and personable. There was such a warm 'home' atmosphere that we missed in our month of travel in Yunnan. His family was always at hand to help us out with anything that we needed, or for a simple chat. The room was very spacious and clean. Aside from the minor leak that occurred during a severe rainstorm, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Shu He area in Liliang. The location was spot on!

I rarely write reviews for hotels, but I really loved their service. So far, this is the hotel that offers the best service. A staff member explained all the attractions and food options in Baisha Village in detail. They provide afternoon tea, evening snacks, and breakfast—all included in the hotel fees. They also offer other services like candle making and baking classes. Unfortunately, due to my packed schedule, I didn’t get to register for those classes. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay and the top-notch service provided.
