"Great location just 3 mins walk from the train station (Grindelwald Bahnhof) and bus station. Nice and panoramic view from the window. Breakfast was great! The hotel is close to the city, shops, Coop and many other stores. Everything is just in the walking distance and don’t have to walk up the hill. I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"Location is good, just opposite to the First Mountain cable car station, however, if you want to go to Jungfraujoch, you will need to take the bus to the Terminal station, the shuttle bus to the bus station only has 8 seats, walking to the station is only 5 min. I don't think the hotel rate worth the money unless one is going to stay in the hotel for half day and swim or to use the facilities, the view from the balcony is nice though."

"Extraordinary experience! The room has a large balcony with a stunning view of snow mountains. Bed is clean and soft. Some chocolates and coffee are included. Basic amenities like towels, body wash, shampoo, hair dryer and slippers are included! Location is particularly awesome, exactly next to Grindelwald station. You literally step in the hotel right after you get off from your train. Breakfast is typical but well-served. Staff are very nice and provide clear guidance."

"Really helpful staff, she responded to my urgent request for late check-in within 15 minutes, very efficient. The hostel had a really really really nice view of the Eiger, but honestly felt a bit far from the train station (have to catch a bus that runs every 30 minutes or something). It’s convenient with the bus but should be noted the last bus on weekdays is very early like at around 18:00, arriving any time after that requires walking up a SUPER STEEP hill."

Right outside the train station, excellent service and delicious food, Sauna n steam facilities, massive room and bathroom with all the immunities slippers, bathrobe, etc  View is a 10 on 10 all three sides. It’s a paradise to look out of the window when you get up in the morning, I shall be staying at this place if I ever return to Grindelwald."

"Almost Perfect Stay at Hotel Alpenhof Täysin hämmästyttävä vuoristo näkymä balkonista sviittimme. Joten hengittävä vielä niin rauhallinen. "The hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room. However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking. The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done. The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good. The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)"
