"The housekeeping service is not professional, they placed our pyjamas and personal items originally in bed next to our suitcase wheels (and other not clean area) while they changed bed sheets for us. Then we asked for laundry service of those items, the next day they returned the items to us, and half of them were still wet. We were quite frustrated by this

Also the locker room arrangement system was not updated effectively: My room number was updated for upgrade and obviously my assigned ski locker was not tied to the updated room #, then one night, i found my ski locker was emptied out! (because they thought i had checked out, based on the old incorrect room number). Luckily their staffs kept my stuffs and i found them back...
Other than that, we are satisfied with the facility/ reception staff service/ location. We are especially satisfied w the staff - Harry for his servicem"

Could have made the toilet bigger and ditch the useless storage cupboard next to the door. Beds need to be upgraded. Old and mattress far too thin. Breakfast and dinner were so-so. Only plus points are lake facing and cleanliness is acceptable. Free carpark next to hotel."

"When booking did not mention 10 years old kid need to pay additional 3000yen for bed sharing. Pricey compared to all my other hotel booking at Hokkaido. There is no water bottle provided, no amenties as well. All massage chair spoiled. Do not worth the price paid."

"For what it is, a cabin/hostel, it’s well done. The rooms clean, staff helpful. What makes this place stand out though is their sauna tent. At first I was in doubt how good this could be, but with the wood stove, the forest smelling steam, the resting areas and the cold pool, it made it actually one of the best sauna experiences in Japan. Seldom do you get to do your own Löyly like that. Not a lot in the neighbourhood though (in summer), so for us one night was perfect."

"My brief, one-night stay at Kohan Tei left me with mixed feelings. Stepping into the hotel, it was immediately clear that the property is quite dated; honestly, everything just looks worn out. This dated feel detracted from the experience, leaving the stunning lake view as the only true highlight—and even that is conditional on good weather, making it a bit hit-or-miss.
The onsen was, unfortunately, a disappointment. The facility itself is small, and I found it inconvenient that they don't provide towels, requiring a trip back to the room. The biggest issue, however, was the outdoor bath: the water simply wasn't hot enough to truly relax in the cold winter air.
On the positive side, I could see why the buffet dining is a big draw. Both breakfast and dinner seem popular, especially since they offer the fun option to do your own mini grill or hotpot. My only critique here is that the breakfast time felt relatively short—it was a definite rush to finish before the cutoff.
Finally, the location is excellent for exploring. We enjoyed a lovely post-meal walk that stretches all the way to the ferry dock (about 3-4 km). It's a peaceful stroll with sculptures along the way, perfect for a photo or two. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the hotel is truly due for a major renovation."

The hotel itself is incredibly chill and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. They also provide a shuttle bus to nearby attractions, which makes getting around easy despite the quiet location. TTommaso 李先生Very convenient if you are planning to do some skiing in Niseko, great dinner menu and amazing lounge with a fireplace and complementary wine. Breakfast is Japanese style with no alternatives, the staff is nice but calling a taxi is mission impossible and everyone is quite dismissive with the guests, like there is no taxi and that’s not our problem, in a hotel this expensive it should be your problem whether you like it or not.

The food and beverage service was warm and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The front desk and transportation team were outstanding in assisting us with our trip activities and transport arrangements. Additionally, the housekeeping department did a fantastic job in keeping our room clean and tidy.
It is evident that the hardware and software (the staff) at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono are perfectly matched. We are so glad we chose to stay at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono

AAnonyymi käyttäjäOverall a great stay. The biggest advantage is the convenience. It is truly ski in ski out, which makes it very easy to access the slopes without needing to travel anywhere.
The slopes here are also very beginner friendly. They are not too steep, which makes it a comfortable place to learn or practice skiing. I also took a 2 hour private ski lesson arranged through the hotel. Our instructor, Yuki, was very friendly, patient, and encouraging, which made the learning experience enjoyable.
The only downside was the food. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet had quite limited variety, and the taste was just average. Considering the price we paid, the food did not feel very worth it.
Overall, it is still a good place to stay if you want convenience and easy access to beginner friendly slopes. Just do not expect too much from the buffet.

VVieraskäyttäjäThe Windsor Hotel at Toya may boast its status as a premier 5-star luxury destination and its historic role as host of the 2008 G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, but our recent stay fell far short of expectations.
Despite the grandeur of the location and its breathtaking views, the service quality was surprisingly poor for a hotel of this caliber. English communication was inconsistent and below the standard expected at an international luxury property. Housekeeping was careless—leaving a used cleaning towel on the bed after daily room service, which is simply unacceptable.
When I drove to the main entrance to pick up my family, I was abruptly asked to leave immediately, even though only a few cars were present. This lack of hospitality was jarring. Additionally, being charged for extra bottled water—something even 3-star hotels offer complimentary—felt petty and out of touch with luxury norms.
The most troubling experience came during checkout. Two of our international credit cards failed to process, and although we successfully paid with a third, the staff’s attitude was unprofessional. We were met with a sour expression and the word “FINALLY” once the transaction went through—an unacceptable remark that left a lasting negative impression.
While the hotel’s setting is undeniably beautiful, the overall service and treatment we received did not reflect the standards of a true 5-star experience. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both staff training and guest relations.

The biggest highlight is definitely the ski-in ski-out access, which makes it extremely convenient for anyone coming to Niseko for snowboarding or skiing. You can go straight from the hotel to the slopes without needing transportation.
The location is great, surrounded by beautiful snow scenery and close to the ski lifts. The service was also good — staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
However, a couple of things could be improved. The hotel does not provide a microwave, which can be inconvenient if you want to heat up takeaway food. Also, there is no coin laundry service, which might be troublesome for longer stays, especially after days of snow activities.
Overall, it’s a comfortable stay with a great location for skiing, but adding basic facilities like a microwave and coin laundry would make the experience even better.

KKelsie MunroExcellent service from check in to check out by the wonderful staff at Chatrium Niseko. They were always there if we needed anything and helped organise transfers to and from the airport via taxi. We were a few minutes walk to the Ace family chairlift where we could then explore around snowboarding and using multiple gondolas and lifts from there. Lots of food trucks and convenience stores on the way back to the hotel which was super convenient. Arigato for a wonderful experience!

VViktoriia KWe had a wonderful stay at Niseko Grand Hotel! My friend and I truly enjoyed our time there. One of the highlights was definitely the hotel's own hot springs — absolutely amazing. There are both female-only and mixed-gender areas, which was a great option to have.
The staff was incredibly friendly and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome. In fact, staying here felt more like being at a countryside residence than at a hotel — warm, peaceful, and cozy, just like home. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Niseko — and we hope we will!
We stayed in a traditional Japanese-style room, which made the experience even more special. Yukata and yuami (bathing suit) were also provided.
The hotel also offers free shuttle buses to the ski slopes regularly, which made it super convenient for us to enjoy the mountains. On the day of our departure, the hotel’s driver kindly took us to the nearest train station.
Another standout was the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we also chose to have dinner there a few times. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. The buffet offered a wide variety of both Asian and Western cuisine, and the selection was impressive for both breakfast and dinner.
We also tried eating out at a couple of other restaurants in Niseko, but we both agreed that the hotel’s restaurant was by far the best for us.
Highly recommend this place!

WwaynethepaintTrip.com has always been my go to for travel bookings. Similarly this time to Niseko, decided to extend for an additional week and MyEcolodge came up in the search.
I have to mention the checkin was seamless, but what I thought i booked, vastly differ from what was allocated for me. I thought what i booked was a room to myself however it turns out as a shared room. Its not a big deal but the feeling of misinterpretation leaves an awful taste.
(Trip.com CS stepped in and helped to clarify things but theres nothing that could be done. peak season, and everywhere else is fully booked or without paying a premium)
That said, the stay was good. MyEcolodge sits in a very convenient location just couple stops from Hirafu. Theres various buses including free shutters so thats really an ease off the mind)
7eleven, a small cafe, hotpot/shabushabu restaurant just sits across from you. The hostel also has their own cafeteria though ive never eaten there (food looks good though).
They have a huge storage room for your gears, pretty safe so no worries. pantry, laundry room, washroom are pretty spacious and kept tidy.
The room itself is fine, nothing to wow about. nothing to complain either. Towels are free and clean. Everything else you need to pay.
Overall good stay.
Pray hard you get nice room mates if youre sharing!

The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much.
Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it.

We recently stayed five nights at One Niseko and overall enjoyed our stay, but there are some important things future guests — especially skiers — should know.
The rooms were spacious, generally clean, and had very comfortable beds and linens. A few small maintenance issues could use attention, but nothing that seriously affected our stay. Breakfast was decent but fairly repetitive, with mostly the same offerings each day aside from a few rotating dishes.
Transportation logistics are probably the biggest consideration. The hotel only offers one daily pickup from the Grand Hirafu bus terminal, and it requires advance reservation. The hotel shuttle itself runs only to Annupuri and Moiwa and does so infrequently, often not aligning well with lift closing times. If the upper mountain lifts close early 3:30pm if they open at all and may unexpectedly close due to wind or snow.Yyou can easily end up far from the hotel in this situation. Without the shuttle, taxis are limited and cost around $30 USD, or you may face a crowded 1.5-hour bus ride — skis included.
The hotel is also quite far from Grand Hirafu, and there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance. We even walked back from Moiwa one day in the rain because the shuttle wouldn’t return for another hour — not ideal after skiing.
On the positive side, ski rental prices at the hotel were actually better than many shops in the surrounding area. The hotel restaurant is flexible too — if it’s not full, you can usually walk in without a reservation.
The onsen itself is nice, but etiquette enforcement could improve. Some guests were not following standard onsen rules and wearing underwear in the baths, which created an awkward atmosphere (I felt like an exhibitionist!). Management may want to either enforce rules more clearly or consider alternative policies to maintain guest comfort (allow swimsuits).
Overall, we did enjoy our stay, but unless you have a rental car, I would strongly recommend considering accommodation in Niseko Village or closer to the lifts for convenience. One Niseko is comfortable but somewhat isolated, and transportation can become challenging quickly depending on weather and lift operations.
