"Its a Wyndham Hotel Chain so the service is excellent 👍 Breakfast is Great also. The minor con is the location a little bit far from Lijiang Ancient Town where all the crowd go. But its just a little walk distance to lijiang railway station, no need to take taxi."

"Hotel located exactly at dukezong city with the windows overlooking songzanlin monestary. Owner is knowledgeable and accommodating. Really nice guy. He speaks really good English! Told us he used to teach English, a tour guide and also experienced photographer~. He show us comparison of 18 years ago dukezong from his photo album and current dukezong. Told us story how Shangrila name come about. We chats about his cats, one particular kitten named Puma is very naughty. Enjoyed being in his lobby where he set up the fireplace and the cats getting heat there. At lobby there's peanut and walnut on the table, we able to enjoy them while chit chatting. I really enjoyed being in this boutique hotel. All his staff can speak simple English too~ The bed is warm and toasty. I feel it's a blessing when we check in, it was snowing lightly as well. I can see owner have great personality and an animal lover. If I ever visit Shangrila I will surely extend my stay in this hotel; just to have story time with the owner. ❤️"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the service the team provided was impeccable - it was really easy to reach out to them via WeChat and they will always try their best to fulfil our requests, from arranging transport to and from the train station, to preparing portable breakfast before our hikes to Yulong Snow Mountain. The food at the restaurant was all made with fresh local produce and meat too, and we enjoyed all the meals that we had there. Let’s not forget the private hot spring tub, it’s so relaxing to have this available throughout the stay! Overall a really incredible stay, hoping to come back again!"

"We had a great stay at this hotel. The host very helpful — He collected our Taobao parcels in advance and placed them neatly in our room before our arrival, which was a nice touch. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Baisha Old Town. As soon as you step out of the hotel, you’re greeted with a stunning view of the snow mountain. The rooftop was another highlight — perfect for enjoying the sunrise and soaking in the mountain scenery. The hotel itself was spacious and comfortable. Both the living area and bathroom had plenty of room. Water pressure was decent, and the hot water supply was reliable throughout our stay. Overall, a peaceful and well-located stay with thoughtful service. Would definitely recommend!"

"Our family of four stayed in the Mountain View Family Room at Kui Ran Snow Mountain Resort from 24 to 28 December. This was a rather spur-of-the-moment booking on Trip.com, and while we had seen photos of the resort beforehand, nothing quite prepared us for the genuinely warm and personalised experience that awaited us, and the amazing view! Even before our arrival, the young and enthusiastic team reached out via WeChat to ensure a smooth check-in. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Every encounter — whether with management, kitchen staff, or the housekeeping ah yees — was met with friendly greetings and heartfelt small talk. What truly stood out was the personalised chat group created for our stay. Through it, we received thoughtful and detailed updates each day: breakfast menus, nightly bonfire timings, homemade supper featuring warm desserts, and even morning messages letting us know when the skies were clear so we wouldn’t miss the snow-capped mountains at their most magnificent. Breakfast was a colourful spread with plenty of options, and a special mention goes to the friendly barista who patiently prepared complimentary warm drinks for us each day — we were truly spoilt for choice. A big thank-you to the entire Kui Ran team. Apart from 小九, whom we spoke with daily, I was too shy to ask for the names of the other attentive and perpetually cheerful staff. Thank you for making the final days of our Yunnan trip so welcoming and memorable. I will definitely be recommending Kui Ran to friends and family — it is truly a hidden gem."

"Due to my health condition, I had to cancel my journey to Shangri-La. Rather than seeing this as a setback, we decided to extend our time in Lijiang for one more night before heading back to Dali. Without a second thought, we knew we had to return to Rishine for our final night. Our decision to come back was based on one thing: their exceptional, heartfelt service. But it was our return that truly cemented our love for Rishine. As our Didi car pulled up, attendant Xiao Liu was already waiting for us with a warm smile. He had quietly noted our call from five minutes earlier and timed his welcome perfectly. ”I haven't seen you for a day, it feels like three autumns have passed!” he said, greeting us with the warmth of a reunited old friend. In that moment, the fatigue from our travels simply melted away. The most touching part? They remembered our specific dietary preferences without us having to remind them. This is more than just a homestay; it's a place that remembers you and makes you feel profoundly cared for. We cannot recommend Rishine highly enough."
