"This is ny second time staying at Norden Ruder Branch 2. Excellent location, just a short walk to Tiehua Village ans Bus Station. The Central Market is also just across the street, great if you love to explore local market and grab some fresh produce to whip up simple meals in the spacious shared kitchen. Also enjoyed interacting with fellow guests when dining in the shared kitchen space. The only not so good thing is this hostel is remodeled from an old building so it's not really soundproof and you'll hear neighbors opening the door, using toilet etc. 😅 Light sleepers please be prepared."

"Our stay at this hotel was a mixed experience, and overall, I wouldn't consider it worth the cost. The hotel itself is old, and the facilities feel very dated. While it boasts a large swimming pool and spa areas, they were unusable during our stay as they were running with cold water. We didn’t see anyone using them. The “beauty pool,” which was advertised as having heated water, was disappointing due to a strong sewer-like smell. Additionally, the sauna is not complimentary for hotel guests, which felt unreasonable. The dining experience was also underwhelming. The à la carte food in the restaurant was below average in quality, the portions were small, and the prices were high. However, the atmosphere was pleasant, though it felt odd being the only customers at 8 p.m. On a brighter note, the breakfast was excellent. I would rate it four stars for its variety of local and aboriginal food, which was a highlight of the stay. The timing of activities for kids was inconvenient as well. While kids could play pool and ping pong for free in the evening (after we arrived at 7 p.m.), all other activities were scheduled for late morning or early afternoon, after checkout time. The hotel’s location is another drawback. It is far from restaurants and busy areas, making it necessary to have a car or take a taxi. The one positive aspect of our stay was the room. We booked the premium family room/suite, which provided separate sleeping areas for parents and kids—a feature we appreciated. However, this came at a premium price, costing 25% more. I had requested a room with a view, and the front desk clerk was accommodating, which I appreciated. Overall, while the room and breakfast were nice, the rest of the experience didn’t justify the cost or the inconvenience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to the facilities and services."

"Pool was under maintenance during the period of stay. Location though at night market was still a distance away from railway station. Taxi fare abt TWD220. There was hotel shuttle service but no clear instructions on how to book in advance. Info not available on trip.com. Concierge staff did not readily offer the service also. Was told only available to members. Not for 3rd party booking. Am disappointed. Room was spacious. 2 queen size beds. But toilet and bathroom were small. Head will hit the door if I sit at toilet bowl and lean just a bit forward. The bathroom door hits the rain shower head, so if not notice, and open the door with force may break the glass door. Yellow lights in the room were very dim. Make ambience cozy and classy but very straining to the eyes. 2 out of 3 laundry machines out of order. Laundry powder did not dispense from vending machine. Hv to change coins at lobby when laundry is at 6th floor. Overall, not quite up to expectations unfortunately."

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Cham Cham in Taitung! The hotel is stunningly beautiful, impeccably clean, and everything feels so new and well-maintained. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing top-notch service from check-in to check-out. One of the biggest advantages is its convenient location right next to the train station, which makes travel super easy. However, it’s worth noting that it’s a bit far from Taitung City, so you may need some extra time for city visits. Overall, this hotel is perfect for those looking for a modern and serene stay with excellent service. Highly recommended!"

"The location is in southern Taidung. Consider the fact that Taidung require 2hour driving from north to south, this location make it little difficult to see northern Taidung attractions. But the hot spring in this town is the best. The hot spring in this hotel use genuine underground hot spring water, your skin can feel the difference while enjoying it."

"Convenient location to the train and bus stations. Car rental places are nearby. Route 8101A and Express A (ferry harbor) bus stop is not too far from the hotel if east coastal attractions and the Green Island are your destinations. 8101A departs once a day at 8:30 to major sightseeings along the coastal highway in a cruise ship style ride with 30 to 60 minute stay at each attraction and then returns to the departure stop in a close loop. Express A to the ferry harbor in 20 minute ride with a 30 minute bus interval."

"Fantastic hotel all round. Not only was the room clean and comfortable, but the dinner and breakfast included with the stay were delicious, and had a very wide variety of dishes and drinks to choose from. Would not hesitate to stay here (or at other Kindness Hotel branches) again!"
