"I really enjoyed my week and a half stay at Mulanyu Tangsu Hotel . The rooms are very clean and nicely arranged. The hotel is located on the top of a hill , very near the old city of Lijiang without being right in the center . My room had a fantastic view. The person in charge of the hotel is the kindest person and did absolutely everything to meet my requirements and needs . They welcome you with delicious tea and fruit , are very easily available to help you with your luggage , suggesting excursions in the neighbourhood or just for tea and a chat . I m very satisfied and I will surely come here again or recommend it."

"We are Malaysian & can speak mandarin. Don’t worry if you’re non-chinese speaker, they will try their best to communicate with you. Sonzhuju Coffee & Tea Holiday Villa is convenient for those who bring big luggage. They have a service to help carry your luggage too, from the main road (approx 170m). And please let them know once you arrived at the main road! The hotel is away from loud noise & busy from the main area. Cosy place & strategic for us staying in 3D2N. The room was clean. Breakfast included, but for Muslims, please mention that you’re Muslim, then they will prepare you veggie options. And you can choose to have your meal in your room or their eating area.  Ai Fei, a local host from the hotel, was very helpful in arranging our customised tour trip. We texted the hotel via WeChat 8–9 days prior to our arrival in Lijiang. We asked if there was any local there who could advise us on the trip and straightaway they made a group for discussion. He'd make sure that we were all okay & happy to discuss our plan to visit any area that we would like to go to. He arranged our private car trip to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley and brought the ticket for us too. Upon we'd arrived at the hotel, he served us a welcome tea, fruit and flower cake. From the next morning we are going to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley. He advised us on what the do’s and don't prior to our trip. The private driver that he helped arrange for us was also very helpful & patient to ensure that we felt safe going to the place (group chat). He also helped to arrange a private car for us to Shangri-la. Overall, he made our plan and trip smoothly.  As for the Muslims, you can ask him or the hotel host to recommend where the nearest Muslim restaurant they will definitely find for you. Overall, definitely recommend staying here. We are happy with our stay here."

"Good view of Yulong Snow Mountain from room and rooftop lounge & terrace. They even thoughtfully set up 3 tripod stands on the rooftop terrace for guests’ use. Room was clean & spacious, bed was comfortable and shower pressure was good. No elevator so you need to climb stairs to your room or breakfast / butter tea demo (level 5 rooftop) which can be a little strenuous if you are not used to the high altitude yet. Breakfast is very good, especially the panfried chickpea jelly. We were too early for breakfast on our day to the snow mountain, and they packed simple breakfast (bread, orange & milk) for us to go. We also enjoyed the snacks provided at the nightly butter tea demo. They also kindly helped us rent an electric scooter online when we could not do it due to lack of local number. Location is about 20min walk to Lijiang Old Town. Highly recommended and I would stay here again"

"This hotel is quite close from lijiang ancient city and bus stop station. There are so many restaurants around there, including minimarket and pharmacy. The room size is quite large and more than enough for me, even the view offered is really great. The disadvantage is that this hotel has no lift (only the stairs). "We stayed for 4D3N and the experience was incredible. We booked this stay specifically to see the sunrise on the mountain, and it did not disappoint—we saw it every single morning! The hospitality was top-notch. Before we even arrived, the owner contacted us to arrange a pick-up. He was so friendly and helped us carry our heavy luggage both up during check-in and all the way back down when we checked out. We were welcomed with a lovely tea greeting, and he shared great tips on nearby attractions and how to prepare for the mountain trails. Bonus points for the free-flow tea available throughout our stay! There’s also a washing machine and iron on Level 1, and almost all amenities are provided. Highly recommended for the views and the amazing service."

"The hotel is perfectly located right in the middle of the old town, next to one of the main streets. The room was very spacious and fully furnished, however it was quite cold during the night, despite the AC running. The host was super friendly, and available to help with anything. He even invited several guests to have dinner and spend the evening together, which was one of the most memorable moments of my trip. Really recommend staying there"

The Sifu Inn (Sifu Yashe Jingpin Kezhan) is about 3-minutes' walk from bustling Sifang Street, Lijiang's vibrant downtown area.Composed of four typical Naxi style courtyards, this homely Lijiang hotel offers various accommodations including suites, honeymoon rooms and deluxe panoramic rooms, whose traditional, warm wood interiors and furnishings are counterbalanced by modern amenities including LCD TVs and Kohler bathroom fittings.

"This hotel is right in the heart of Lijiang Ancient Town, which is super convenient. Step outside and you’re surrounded by shops and restaurants in every direction. Right in front of the sugarcane juice stall, there’s a traditional clothing rental shop. The rental is very cheap (138 yuan per person), including outfit, makeup, and a photographer - definitely worth checking out! A heads-up for taxis: Didi can’t drop you right at the hotel entrance, but it can get close. From there, a motorbike service can carry your luggage to the hotel for 20 yuan. The walk from the drop-off point to the hotel is 5–10 minutes downhill. If you plan to order a Didi later, it’s easiest to ask the same staff who helped you the first time. The hotel itself is antique-style, which gives it charm, but some areas aren’t very even, and there’s no elevator - only stairs. Rooms and facilities: - Our bathroom could only flush; no bidet. Some other rooms have a bidet, so it seems to depend on luck. Be aware it might be tricky if you’re used to washing with water. - No laundry service, but the room comes with a handheld iron steamer. - Heater is available in the room, which is nice for cooler nights. Overall, this hotel is perfect if you want to experience Lijiang Ancient Town and don’t mind antique-style quirks. The location is unbeatable, and the small inconveniences are manageable."

PpostcardsandstampsWe enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

VVieraskäyttäjäWe stayed in Stone Lodge for 3 nights in the middle of December. Let us talk about the good things first. 1. Snow Mountain View rooms can see 日照金山from bed. 2. Location is good for going to snow mountain. It takes around 20min to reach visitor centre of snow mountain. 3. Service is very good. U can ask for anything and they will provide for example bubble wrap to pack our fragile shopping. There’s also free laundry service. 4. Good for those who like the activities included in the room package. We did the Naxi home visit, horse riding and art and craft diy and enjoyed them very much. We like the afternoon tea provided too. And we can have coffee and fruits as much as we want. Now some points to note. 1. Room is a bit small for 3 of us. The toilet is like a shower cubicle that opens into the room. We only discovered the ventilation switch im the middle of the stay and was wondering why the cubicle is so stuffy, not to mention the smell. With the ventilation on, the problems are solved. The shower cubicle is opposite with the sink in between them. All open into the room with no partition around the bathroom area. The walls of the toilet and shower cubicles are frosted glass and is acceptable for me and my daughters, all ladies. 2. The village is very small. Not much to see. We went to a cafe popular on internet that can take photo on the roof with the snow mountain in the background. The drinks are ok but the pasta is not nice. Maybe that’s why this restaurant is not in the recommended list of the hotel. We did not explore the village much but from what I see, it’s just 1 short street. 3. Ask for a 3rd floor room. It has a sky roof over the bed and we can see stars when we turn off all the lights in the room. Overall, we did not regret our decision to stay here in the Stone Lodge. If the activities were not included in the package, we would not have experienced them at all.

The room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. I especially appreciated the cozy ambience and the attention to detail in the amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, and the overall environment felt relaxing and peaceful — perfect for a short getaway. The facilities were also well-kept, and the dining experience was enjoyable. Everything was presented nicely and the quality met expectations. The location is convenient yet tucked away enough to feel like a quiet retreat from the busy city. Overall, it was a pleasant and fuss-free stay. I would definitely consider returning and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing hotel experience.

VVieraskäyttäjäI couldn't express how grateful we found this hotel. Firstly the location was great with stunning view overlooking the entire ancient town. We particularly enjoy sitting at the balcony and listening to the live music from the bars nearby, while blending into the vibe there. Despite situated uphill, it was an easy walk down to the square street and accessible to any restaurants and shops. It's also close to south gate and even we walked to the other end near ZhongYi night market, we can simple return to the hotel by taking a didi ride, which will stop you at the Jie Feng Lou. The room was warm enough and the hottub was a plus point during cold days. Lastly, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They offered topnotch service and assisted us to sort out our transportation issue the next day since we need to check out very early in the morning to the snow mountain. Really appreciate that and I'd not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone going to LiJiang. Pick this hotel and you won't regret!

MMahdiMNMu Xue Oriental Inn is an absolute gem in the heart of enchanting Lijiang Old Town! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its authentic old-world facade, which beautifully contrasts with the luxurious modern amenities inside. As Muslim travelers, we truly appreciated the convenient location—nestled in the charming, rustic old town yet just a short walk from the main road, making it easy to find halal meals without trekking far or uphill. The modern toilet with a bidet was a delightful surprise and added so much comfort to our stay. The inn’s thoughtful design, impeccable cleanliness, and warm hospitality made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Mu Xue Oriental Inn to anyone visiting Lijiang—whether for culture, comfort, or convenience, this place has it all! A true 5-star experience! 🏡✨

DDonn Tan PSI am Delightfully Amazed by this renowned famous Banyan Tree Hotel. It is such a Beautifully Constructed Hotel with West Lake like Environment surrounding with Villas giving you a Big Beautiful Chinese style Garden Ambience. I am lucky to get a Free Upgrade to a Villa with Swimming Pools and Jade Dragon Mountain View right in front of Bedroom with a Garden (many thanks to their front office staffs). What impressed me the Most is all their Staffs are so Well Trained on All the Details Focusing on giving you the Best Services that Anyone would ask for. 5 Stars to their Top Management Direction, Management Implementation, All Ground Staffs Dedication to giving World Class Services. Their Restaurant Foods Quality is also very Good and at very Reasonable Pricing for a 5 Stars Restaurant. Do get their Restaurant Breakfast Package which is really Worth it for their Variety and Good Quality Foods. I will highly Recommend this Hotel for anyone that is Visiting Lijiang as even their Location is Perfect at the Middle of the 3 ancient towns so traveling around is within 10-25mins and away from the noisy busy ancient towns. It's my first time spending so much time and efforts to give this honest review because i simply think the Whole Banyan Tree Team deserves it. Impressed, Amazing, Enjoyable, Enchanting, Great Experience, It's a Only Hotel that I will Stay in Lijiang (i cancelled other hotel and extended another 2 more days in Banyan Tree)

A staff member explained all the attractions and food options in Baisha Village in detail. They provide afternoon tea, evening snacks, and breakfast—all included in the hotel fees. They also offer other services like candle making and baking classes. Unfortunately, due to my packed schedule, I didn’t get to register for those classes. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay and the top-notch service provided.
