Welcome. Our 3-bedroom apartment of Sky One sits right in the heart of Box Hill. It sleeps 6, opens onto a balcony, and comes with secure parking. The train station is a 4-min walk, and the city is 25 minutes from there. The kitchen is properly set up for cooking, with full appliances and basics ready to go. You'll also have free use of the heated pool, sauna, gym, and lounge. Step outside and Melbourne's best Asian food is all within a few minutes' walk.
The space
The apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main bedroom has a mirrored built-in wardrobe and its own ensuite with a full-size bathtub, so you can soak after a long day. Both bathrooms have brushed gold tapware and frameless glass shower screens. Each bedroom has its own split-system air conditioning and blockout blinds, so everyone sleeps well.
The living room and dining area sit under curved floor-to-ceiling windows that let in a lot of natural light. Oak timber floors run through the apartment, and the dining table sits right against the windows. It's a nice spot for breakfast.
The kitchen has been set up the way we'd want one set up for ourselves. A full cooktop and oven, a quiet dishwasher, sharp knives, decent pans, and the small things you usually have to go buy on day one. Salt, pepper, oil, a bit of soy sauce. There's a washing machine and dryer in the unit behind timber sliding doors, fast Wi-Fi in every corner, a smart TV for the slow evenings, and a tidy desk by the window if work follows you here.
The whole building is yours to enjoy as well:
Heated indoor pool
Sauna
Gym
Residents' lounge and library
Rooftop BBQ garden with pergola and outdoor seating
Now, a few words about the area. Box Hill is one of Melbourne's great food neighbourhoods, and this apartment sits right in the middle of it. Step outside and within a few minutes' walk you'll find yum cha trolleys, bubbling pots of Sichuan hot pot, Korean barbecue, hand-pulled noodles, late-night dumplings, and more bubble tea than you can reasonably drink in one trip. Box Hill Central, three minutes from the front door, holds the supermarkets, a fresh produce market, and a food court worth getting lost in.
This place tends to work well for:
Families and groups of up to six
Visitors here for Box Hill Hospital or Deakin University
Travellers who'd rather eat well than drive far
Day trips out to the Yarra Valley or the Dandenongs, both about an hour's drive
