"We stayed one night at the Sandpiper Motel in Apollo Bay during peak season. On the positive side, the room was exceptionally clean, and the embroidered details on the bedding, pillow slips, and face towel were a lovely touch that added a sense of care and thoughtfulness to the decor. However, our stay was not without its issues. Room 5; Throughout the night, there was a persistent high-pitched noise whenever water was used in our block of rooms, which disrupted our sleep, not helpful if you are a light sleeper. This was particularly disappointing given the cost of over 500 NZD for one night. Additionally, while the self-check-in process was efficient, the lack of any staff presence left the motel feeling impersonal and made it impossible to seek assistance when needed. For example, there was no way to address the plumbing issue or request additional items like more face towels during our stay. While we appreciated the cleanliness and the attention to detail in the room design, these other factors made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. We hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests."

"This hotel boasts a fantastic location along the Great Ocean Road, offering breathtaking views of Apollo Bay during the day. However, the heating system was insufficient—while the living room had heating, the bedroom lacked proper heating, leaving us feeling quite cold at night. Additionally, the bedroom curtains did not fully block out light, so bringing an eye mask is highly recommended for a good night's sleep. Despite these minor drawbacks, the scenic surroundings and convenient coastal access make it a decent stay for travelers exploring the area."

"We stayed in Apollo Bay area for Great Ocean Road Trip. It is a standard motel room, good size for couple of nights. Location was perfect, easy to spot + easy parking access too. There are supermarkets nearby, with different food options too. The room has kettle and microwave, but no cutlery apart from two teaspoons. A bit awkward moment when other customers were passing in front of the door but generally it was ok."

"Excellent location. Nice view. Close to everything. Has blackout blinds which is helpful if you’re not a morning person. Petrol station next to it and foodworks on the next block. Multiple choices for restaurants. Parking available on site"

"Meillä oli ihana oleskelu Apollo Dream Homestay! Sijainti on täydellinenhyvin lähellä Marriners Lookout, yksi on vierailtava paikkoja alueella. Check-in prosessi oli super sileä ja vaivattomasti. Majoitus sijaitsee rauhallinen ja hiljainen alue, joka teki erittäin rento kokemus. Huoneemme oli puhdas, mukava ja hyvin ylläpidetty, täysin toimiva vesilämmittimen, joka teki meidän oleskelu vielä mukavampi. "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 The staff at Apollo Bay Motel & Apartments were very helpful and made the check-in process extremely easy by clearly guiding us through every step. Their communication was excellent and very friendly. The room was warm, clean, and comfortable. The accommodation is in a very convenient location, with all shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby and within easy walking distance. All the amenities we needed were provided, which made our stay very comfortable and stress-free. Overall, we highly recommend Apollo Bay Motel & Apartments to everyone and would happily stay here again."

"The owner so lovely, we check in late and she prepare a drawing for us to find the room. The room is clean and we can feel it well maintain and the shampoo they provided smell good. Both of us very satisfied this stay will recommend to others who going to apollo bay. The bathtub got the massage function as well."

"Excellent location for a stop by along the ocean road, 15 minutes drive to Apollo bay, quiet little property located at the foot of mountain and facing the sea, with fantastic ocean view and interesting rock and sand beach The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room of bay view is spacious with a small sitting room and all necessary utensils People just need to bring necessary food and drink to cook for themselves as there is a bit distance from the town center A little advice though: please provide air-conditioner for the accommodations as it’s pretty hot in summer in the room. It’s not comfortable and the guest cannot sleep well in the summer heat"

"Room was really spacious and kitchen came with basic seasoning namely salt and pepper. There were tons of cockatoos on the porch in the morning so it can be a bit noisy but most people would usually be up by then so it should be fine."
