Vuoristonäköala Hotels in Izu

"It's an old but very nice hotel. The room is in a traditional Japanese style, with yukata, tea set, futons, tatami mats - everything is as it should be! Very clean and cozy, definitely recommend it. It's a pity that you can't visit the onsen if you have a tattoo, but it's okay! There was a magnificent view of the mountains and the village from the window!"

"The resort is truly remarkable with good food and onsen facilities. My rating is purely based on the resort experience. However, I will like to provide feedback on the reservation experience on trip.com. The pricing indicated on trip.com is not totally transparent. At the time of booking, I indicated 2 adults and a 7yo child to get accurate pricing. The amount was prepaid with a small fee JPY450 to be paid at hotel. At check in, I was shocked to learn that we are expected to pay for the child room rate at JPY22k+. That was not indicated on the “to pay at hotel’. Trip.com customer service officer replied that the requirement was indicated on the email confirmation sent. This is upsetting as I usually used the mobile app and relied on available information to make reservation. It is not my habit to check email confirmation given the information on the app is correct. Pricing should be made transparent at point of booking and not after booking. And out of ‘goodwill’ they offered me a compensation close to 50% of the child room rate. I have been using trip.com since covid and this is my first time having such issue. I hope my experience can benefit others who is booking this accommodation with child."

"A wonderful ryokan, which offered the perfect combination of tranquility, stunning scenery, and impeccable service. Surrounded by breathtaking natural views, it’s an ideal retreat for anyone looking to escape the bustle of daily life. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful. The service was exceptional—attentive, warm, and thoughtful. every detail was carefully curated to create an unforgettable experience. highly recommend this ryokan to anyone seeking a serene getaway with top-notch hospitality."

"room is not the same as picture  Very small and very tiny restroom! But the public hot springs is good!! Clean and beautiful"

"A beautiful property with traditional Japanese architecture. Both the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were exquisite. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable outdoor public onsen, as well as the very relaxing private bath (just be sure to book in advance!). Most importantly, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Umakoshi. My husband felt unwell during the night, and she provided us with so much help and support. Thank you so much for your kindness!"

"The hotel is clean and the room is spacious, if you’re into Zen etc then it’s perfect location for that, Otherwise you will need to resort to shuttle bus and in our case we rented a car to get around the local areas. I didn’t know that regardless of you use it or not you will be charged for the onsen fee, which no one tell us at check in, it’s a small thing but it would be nice to be told everything upfront."

"You know the situation when you are going to country side to visit your grandma and she feeds you so much that you can't move and just rolling from one room to another? So visiting this place is like that, but it's a Japanese grandma and also there is an onsen"
