Vuoristonäköala Hotels in Gero

Onsen hotel offering excellent service, superb food and privacy. Service was next to nothing, staff offered Salmon sushi and malt tea at no extra cost as I choosed to skip breakfast to catch up with early bus schedule. The room was very clean and quite spacious. Dinner and breakfast was in Kaiseki style. The food was excellent, particularly the sashimi and the Hida beef (both grilled and sukiyaki).The use of local ingredients added to the uniqueness of the experience. The onsen was not big but cozy. Considering the hotel has about 20 rooms only, it offer very good privacy and I enjoyed the public bath twice alone in my 2 days stay. Rental private bath was a good surprise and worth to try if you are traveling in pair. Location is a bit far from train and bus station up on the top of the hill, but the the pickup service and a nice view of the mountain compensated for that.

One of our best stays during my time in Japan! The staff were very friendly. She shared with us where we should go for onsen, dinner and places to visit. Breakfast was simple but very hearty. We are touched that they considered our food restrictions and adjusted accordingly. Very thoughtful! We could also use the yucata and jacket to walk around town. Love this experience very much! The onsen is also lovely. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again. P.s they don't have yamato service if you need to deliver your baggage.

Pros: - Shuttle bus waiting right in front of the train station - Shuttle bus drop-off every hour in the morning till noon - the room we booked is really spacious with a western-style room and a Japanese-style room and a private bathroom - the view at our room balcony is a big bonus - There are 3 onsens in the hotel which all are good - Nice buffet breakfast with variety of Japanese food Cons: - only one drawback during my stay is other groups of guests whom spoke loudly while using the onsens

The hotel is settled in the middle of Gero Hot Spring town, short walk from the train station and can also be reached via bus from Kamikochi area. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. You can feel the spirit of older times in this hotel with a lot of beautifully selected decoration pieces. The manager showed us around and even offered us a new room since I accidentally booked one without shower (we declined that offer since we only wanted to stay for one night). That’s why we used the Onsen area for showering which is beautiful and includes all amenities. View above Gero and including an outside Onsen area to watch the sunrise. The staff was very friendly, the manager even drove us to the bus station since we forgot our jackets in the bus. The bar is well-equipped and a great place for a drink or two. One of the best parts was the breakfast. Never had such a good Japanese breakfast before- delicious, served in a private room, beautifully arranged. Next time we want to try their dinner :-) We felt like family and I can recommend anyone going to Gero to stay at this great hotel! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Tilat näyttivät hieman vanha, mutta yleisesti ne näyttivät olevan mukavasti ylläpidetty. Tatami huone oli tilava ja mukava, ja kaikki työntekijät etutoimistossa olivat ystävällisiä. Sisäinen sauna ja ulkoinen lämmin kevät ovat pieniä, mutta kun käytin sitä, ei ollut muita käyttäjiä, joten nautin lämmin kevät mukavasti veljeni kanssa. Meillä ei ollut koiraa, mutta koirille näytti olevan erilaisia tiloja. Gero Stationin kuljettamiseen menee noin 12 minuuttia, mutta lumi oli paljon ja siellä oli liikenteenharjoittaja, joten halusin käyttää hiekkapalvelua, mutta en voinut käyttää sitä, koska ei ollut kuljettajaa. Sen sijaan ottin taksin itse ja siirrettiin asemalle mukavasti. Oli olemassa erilaisia tiloja huoneessa, mukaan lukien Yukata, ja siellä oli geropudiini, voihiekka, ja erilaisia muistokauppoja ja tarvikkeita vieressä hostellin. Lawson oli myös hyvä, koska se oli 5-minute kävely. Mutta ääni lattiojen välillä? Äänenvaimennus ei ole hyvä, ja koko huone vain soittaa kun ylähenkilöt kävelevät. ㅋㅋㅠㅠ Kaikki oli niin hyvää paitsi tämä.
