"We had a very pleasant stay, and the location truly couldn’t be better. Everything was perfect. The room was cozy, with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower facilities, fully meeting the high standards expected from an IHG hotel. The terrace offers a stunning panoramic view overlooking the entire city and the subway station is just a few steps away, making transportation extremely convenient. "I Stayed at Grand Metro Park Hotel for 8 nights. The location was good, near the museum and other historical sites and not far from the metro. The room was spacious and clean, each days the room service cleaned the room and bring 2 small bottles of water. i didn't tried the amenity of the hotel like the gym,the swimming pool or the restaurants inside the hotel. In general the hotel was good but the signs of aging are visible, it needs some refreshing works. Every staff I ran into was very friendly and helpful. Down the street there was plenty of small vendors selling food and sweets, so if you're looking for a quick snack and willing to try the local street food it's good. As for the breakfast, there's plenty of choices (the majority is Chinese cuisine) as the same time i do understand as 90% of the clients are chinese, but some western options will be nice too."

"A very comfortable stay! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the shower had great water pressure. The only downside was that it was quite busy, so the lobby area was a bit noisy."

"This hotel is idyllic and you will definitely relax. Whoever designed these rooms should win an award. It's one of the most stunning interiors that I've ever seen for a room. It's absolutely gorgeous. The service is pretty good. There were minor issues with communication at the front desk as I had paid a deposit on the app and they had me pay another deposit there. And then when I booked out, there was a bill again. But we eventually cleared it out. It was just a little bit unclear from the app side. The view, I asked for a nice view. This was something that I asked for but I don't know if they were fully booked. The view that I got wasn't great. I just watched cars coming and going the whole time. So I would have wished for a different view if it was possible. The food was very lackluster. I did not go out. I ordered two rooms and it was very expensive. I paid 68 Chinese Yuan or RMB for oats and 68 for a cup of tea. The oats were very, very watery. I couldn't eat it because that much dairy wouldn't be great. The tea was basic. I ordered a salad the previous night. It was around 38 RMB. Not too expensive but it had no dressing. So the food, I would just go out to eat. Don't bother to order into the room. All that saying, the room was beautiful. It was clean and definitely relaxing. Some lady, I asked for a HDMI cable and she brought it for me. So the service isn't bad either. So the only thing that I can really say is don't get room delivery. Other than that, really great."

"Stayed here for a week and it was nice. - Polite and professional staff. - Spacious rooms - Good location - Free laundry room - Gym is limited but ok. The equipment needs cleaning - Although clean, the room was dusty. Attention to detail is important. Under the sink, tables, headboard/wall behind bed were all quite dusty. - For just under ¥400/night, I personally think breakfast should be included, but it isn’t"

"The room is spacious with fantastic view of the city, but it is quite rundown. Bathroom door was shaky and rollers not lubricated, so there's a creaky sound when pulled. Floor was a little dirty. Hand soap was not refilled. By the 2nd day of stay, we used up the soap and had to use our own body soap to wash our hands. Breakfast was provided. There were quite a variety but a few of the items were cold. Not sure if the food warmer was turned on. The table linens were dirty. There were stains but the service staff still set up the tables for the next guests. I took a photo of one of the tables. Also one of the food items had wrong English translation. It should be called Roti Prata/Canai or Indian Flatbread, instead of Indian Parapet. Parapet is a part of a wall. Front desk service could be better. Understand that it was busy during check in but at least basic information like check out timing, breakfast venue and operating hours should be informed to the guest. Appreciate concierge help in accepting our online orders before we checked in, though there were a few hiccups. However, concierge attitude could be improved. Got a shock when one of the staff was speaking to me like a friend. He lacked the professionalism and should be more polite when speaking to guests, no matter where they come from. On the day of check out, we called for service to bring down our luggage as we had quite a number of bags and were shorthanded. We waited for about 15 minutes and no one came up! Our driver came early and was already waiting downstairs. Feeling frustrated, we brought down the luggage ourselves slowly. All in all, I felt there is a shortage of staff in this hotel, leading to quite an unpleasant experience. I don't think this is the kind of standard Sofitel has and hope it is only limited to this particular hotel."

"I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel."
