"My husband and I came to the hotel for one night. The location is very scenic, close to the bus terminal where we arrived. We were greeted very warmly. There were no communication issues — the young women who helped us check in spoke English well and had a great sense of humor. They showed us everything and took us to our rooms. I especially want to mention that while we were waiting to check in, a wonderful woman in a kimono brought us hot towels, bowls of tea, and small sweets. After our journey, it was a very pleasant touch. Our room was fantastic. We chose it for the stunning view of the mountains. We slept soundly in the beds. The public baths were wonderfully relaxing — this was our first experience with onsens. I also booked a massage. A young woman came to my room, and the massage was done with clothes on — it was the best decision of that evening. I didn't want it to end. For dinner, there was a whole ceremony. There was an enormous amount of food. We couldn't finish it all. Some things were delicious, others were new to us and a bit unfamiliar. But it all added to our experience and enriched us. Thank you for the hospitality. A wonderful place!"

"We chose this hotel expecting the standard of a 5-star Marriott, but our expectations fell completely short. During our stay, it was my birthday. However, the hotel didn't show any gesture of recognition whatsoever—no card, no small amenity, nothing. For a 5-star hotel of a well-known international brand, this was quite surprising. What shocked us even more was the situation with flowers. I was given a bouquet, and it turned out the hotel didn't have a vase to provide for the room. When I asked for help, the staff suggested… going out and buying a vase myself. For a 5-star Marriott, this is simply nonsense. The hotel itself is quite dated. It gives the impression that an existing property simply rebranded to Marriott, but neither the service level nor the staff training meets the chain's standards yet. A separate disappointment was the spa area. There is no sauna in the women's locker room, only a large bathtub, whereas the sauna is located in the men's area. For a hotel of this caliber, this is also very strange. Ultimately, you get a famous Marriott sign and a 5-star label, but there is no 5-star service experience. That is precisely why I advise future guests not to rely solely on the brand and to read recent reviews carefully before booking."
