"The day we checked in, the onson was not provided as heater was broken. It was a huge disappointment as we just drove long hours from Tokyo and expected to rest in onson. If the hotel can suggest other onson place or provide vochur, it would be nice. But we asked and there was nothing. Breakfast was good. And the night bar was a special idea."

"Even though we called the hotel stating that we would be late for the check-in and dinner as there was heavy snow in the highway. The staff postponed it to 730. However, the snow was so heavy, we lost our way in town and we arrived at 8:10. The staff saying that we were too late and rejected to provide any food for us. we had to walk downhill to the town to find our own dinner. however, on the second night of our stay, we noticed that the other guests were having dinner at 9:10 when we passed by the restaurant. We know that we were late, but I believed that hotel is in the hospitality industry, the staff have to be considerate to the guests. as we were not meant to be late on purpose, just because of the bad weather outside, we couldn’t drive fast. We were in the highway 2 1/2 hours without any food and drink in the hope of arriving on time."

"Overall the experience was average. For the same price at other hotels I've been to, the service, room quality would have been much better. The facilities are generally aged. The room was old a bit dusty and some parts of the tatami floor had sunken in. Service was pleasant. Few important things to note: - poor ventilation at meal times meany the whole hotel and your room would smell like meat. - shuttle service only for to and from the bus station. (Most other hotels provide shuttles to the ski lifts) - the ski lifts are about 10-15mins walk away with full gear on (boards, etc)"

"We arrived late (20:15) due to temporary closure of Sendai Airport (tsunami warning), and obviously we were late for the hotel dinner after having to travel all the way up from Narita instead. We were tired and hungry when we arrived, but the hotel disappointed us even more for not reserving our paid dinners for us, nor was there a reimbursement. Did they just throw the food away after all the preparation work? The (presumably) manager's attitude was one of inflexibility and apathy, so atypical of Japanese etiquette. The restaurants nearby were all closed already and we had to starve for the first night there. Very unpleasant and inconsiderate arrangement."

"A wonderful place to stay in. The service was fantastic. The room was huge, much too large for just a solo traveler like me but it would have been perfect if I had brought my wife and child along. The onsen quality was great, albeit the fittings at the shower area were a bit old. The food was hands down amazing and featured great local produce. Honestly there was too much for one person to finish! What I especially liked was that they had a separate room on the first floor where if it was too early for you to check in, you could drop your luggage off, change, and then grab your gear and head to the slopes. Same thing if you intend to charge the slopes a bit more on your last day, just leave your stuff in the storage room, hit the slopes, come back and change out, hit the onsen for the last time, then go off. Definitely recommending this place to my friends visiting Zao."

"This hotel is located right next to the ropeway to see the Snow Monsters, which is very convenient. You can easily walk to line up for tickets early in the morning. Another advantage is that the hotel provides some covered parking spaces, so you don’t have to clear snow off your car in the morning. Initially, I accidentally booked a room without dinner included. I tried emailing the hotel to request adding dinner, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. The room has a private hot bath, but you need to fill it yourself with hot water. The room size is relatively small, and the condition feels quite old. Overall, compared to the very high room price, I don’t think it offers great value for money."

It’s quite a big hotel, 3 buildings are connected and there are many rooms. The rooms are a bit outdated but still maintained well. Service was good and flexible. Transportation to the village is quite necessary when the roads are covered by snow, especially with luggage. They have free shuttle bus which is great. Best parts: 1. Dinner semi-buffet has unlimited alcoholic beverages including local sake, draft beer and wines. 2. Ski & board rental shop is right outside of the hotel. Although hotel only accept cash for the lift ticket, you can rent the gear (rental shop accepts credit card) and ski down the hill (20sec) to the cable ticket counter to buy ticket, pay by credit card. The location has lifts 5,6 and cable 4
