We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal, just a few minutes’ walk from an MRT station, making it easy to get around. The service was impeccable, with attentive, professional, and always friendly staff. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and very clean, featuring bathtubs fed by the thermal springs, providing a genuine moment of relaxation and well‑being. The facilities are varied and thoughtfully designed, from the communal baths and pools to the relaxation areas, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only minor point concerns the breakfast: while very pleasant and true to local flavors, we found little in the way of sweet options. As French travelers, we might be a bit more particular about this, but it’s really a minor detail compared to the overall quality of the stay. Overall, our experience was very positive. The stay was relaxing and well‑organized, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy a wellness-focused stay in Taipei

The service was terrible. I booked this hotel with 2 meals. , for dinner, they said we could not order the expensive menu, so we ordered within what they advised us. The oysters were not very fresh, and the soup was so blended, and there was no taste. We did not enjoy our meal much, and then once we finished, they gave us the bill with additional charge. I asked yhat lady what this additional charge for, then that lady did not even know what is wrong at the first. and then she called other senior lady, and she came back to us and explained like, ”This menu you ordered was actually not included in your meal plan. But it's okay since it's our fault, we will not charge to you. It's okay we will take this additional chages. ” I felt like... they are not generously allowing us something or giving services. Was so uncomportable. And the guy who work in the spa place on 2nd floor was so rude. Cheng? Chen? He was so rude and not quite nice. Also, for the outside spa(pool?), i know a lot of othe hotels spa allow people to use the shower cap on ther hair, but they said i should buy the swimming cap. Was so strict, so even we had the swimsuits, we were not able to use the outside spa(pool?). I paid almost 600$ and this hotel does not deserve to get this much amount. I do not recommend this hotel never ever.

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Was looking forward to this stay as it was my first visit to Beitou. and looking at the review rating at 8.8. thinking this should be a good place to stay. Check in Relatively late around 6pm which is their check in time stating on the official website. Thinking maybe they need more time to clean up the Rooms. And i was disappointed when i checked in. I know the room type that i booked, chances there won’t be view. but that is ok. but the room cleanliness is far from what reviewed. Toilet area walls are with mould and painting is peeling off. Shower head is too dirty to accept. As i have a long day after hiking at Yangmingshan. i’m just too tired to request for any room change since it just for a night, i settle with cleaning myself. 1/10 for cleanliness. Service Staff are attentive and super friendly Will greet you whenever they see you. Hot spring is normal, with 3 pools , 42 / 38 / 28 Degree C temperatures. no Steam room and sauna room. Breakfast taste super good, and fresh. (Although it’s a pre-settled manual) no buffet style for this hotel. 8/10 for food and service The room is at 4,800 TWD for this period. it really consider expensive. might get a better deal elsewhere.

The private hot spring and sauna experience was excellent. Being able to soak and then rest in our own room — alternating between bathing and relaxing — made it especially enjoyable. The room was not small and was perfectly adequate for two people. Ours even had a small window overlooking the library across the street. Beitou residents are truly fortunate — this place is simply beautiful. The breakfast was also delicious. Their curry was not the typical Japanese style, nor was it Indian; it seemed closer to a Southeast Asian style — I’m not entirely sure, but it was absolutely flavorful. If we return in the future, I would gladly stay here again. Each guest is entitled to one complimentary public bath session per day. However, since our room was so comfortable, we chose not to use it. It’s essentially just a larger communal pool.

I had a pleasant and relaxing stay at Chyuan Du Spring Resort. The room was comfortable and spacious, with good amenities and a cozy layout. I especially appreciated the private hot spring bath in the room, which allowed me to enjoy the experience in privacy. Housekeeping was efficient and the room was kept tidy throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to assist with any requests. The Doorman was very helpful and recommended places for us to visit. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Overall, Chyuan Du Spring Resort is a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing hot spring getaway. I would recommend it to couples, families, or anyone who wants to escape the city and enjoy a peaceful retreat.

Very happy with experience here. Private spas within the rooms work well and feel great. Service was great. Food service was generally great. Rooms are clean and well-put together. Hotel is cost-effective as well. Xinbeitou as a destination itself is relaxing and has opportunities for decent food nearby and some short hikes through parks and over hills (phoenix mountain). Proximity to metro is very convenient. There are local markets nearby for visitors that are cute as well Very satisfied, would recommend to others to stay here!

The location of the Hotel isn't that convenient to go to, so it's recommend to look at their shuttle bus timing or simply book an Uber to ride up the hill. Each room that you book also comes with a 1x free visit to the outdoor Spa facilities so I highly suggest you to bring a swim wear to go as it's pretty good even at night time. As for the room it's spacious like other reviews photos have shown but not a lot of people have shown the bathroom/toilet so I'm including it here. It's a very spacious Toilet with the bathtub that has the Onsen water, and the shower head beside the bathtub.
