I honestly regret not staying here when I was in Thailand! I only booked a room for a few hours to store my luggage before my 1am flight, but wow, this place is top tier. Everything smells fresh, the entire hostel is spotless, and the sheets are the whitest I’ve ever seen. They even have a system where you leave your shoes outside to keep everything extra clean, and it really shows. I’m not kidding… this hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. I’ll definitely recommend Monomer Hostel to anyone visiting Bangkok!

The hostel is very modern and generally clean. The staff are very accommodating. The bed I was assigned to had a broken towel rack and ants around the bed and the staff immediately agreed to switch beds for me. While there were fewer ants at the new bed, there was a baby cockroach running around the locker portion of the bed. It was late and my last night when I saw the cockroach so I didn't bother asking for a change but I do think better pest control could be something the hostel should look into.

Amazing hostel. Clean beds and bathrooms. Making breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable. Also they have activities in the weekend with free food and you get to meet people so amazing. The location is little bit far from action but metro is close about 10 min walk and can get you anywhere.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I couldn't be more impressed. Originally planned for 1 night but extended 1 more. The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with easy access to top attractions, restaurants, and public transport. Whether you're here for business or leisure, you’ll find everything you need just steps away. What truly made my stay memorable, though, was the staff. Every team member I encountered was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely eager to assist. From check-in to check-out, their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. It's clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service!

Overall the location is great, very near to train station. The area is full of food choices and it’s convenient. Room is good but the facilities is a bit run down. Hence, there is a big rest area for us to have over packed food or a simple cooking. Toilet needs to be enhanced, too many stagnant water spots and it’s smelly. My bad experience is with the reception and most of them is very bad in communication and I felt a bit rude.

Bed cleanliness is unquestionable, which is an important positive point. The location lies in a busy district with plenty of activity, though it is not convenient for airport transfers as there is no direct public transport to either international airport. The main drawback is the lighting design. Rooms have no central light, leaving them very dark upon entry. New guests may struggle to locate the small card switch near the bed that activates the individual bed light, even during daytime. The thin bed curtains provide little privacy; when other guests use phone torchlights to find their beds, the light easily passes through and causes disturbance to those already sleeping. The dry toilet area also suffers from weak lighting, offering minimal functionality. Overall, while cleanliness is strong, the poor lighting design reduces comfort and convenience.

Overall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)

Great location, a lot of food choices and pretty convenient. The only thing is the bath room and toilet...keep up the maintance and upkeep

The beds are comfortable, each with privacy curtains, individual lights, and charging outlets. I liked that the rooms were kept cool and quiet at night, and the lockers provided were spacious enough for my belongings. The shared bathrooms were consistently clean throughout my stay, with good water pressure and hot showers, which is always a big plus for a budget hostel. Location-wise, Ploy Hostel is very convenient. It’s close to public transportation, local restaurants, convenience stores, and several attractions. Getting around the city was incredibly easy, and I felt safe walking in the area both day and night. Overall, Ploy Hostel offers great value for money. It’s a comfortable, affordable, and reliable place to stay for solo travelers, backpackers, or anyone looking for a friendly and relaxing environment. The staff’s kindness, the clean facilities, and the convenient location all made my stay enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
