"Overall facilities were great! Super clean, super well put together and well stocked. Good value for money. Loved the common areas/reception - so spacious and well thought out with great cooking supplies. Only note would be the music in this area was quite loud so harder to have a conversation over. Breakfast is just toast with spread but appreciated none the less."

"It's what you would expect. Sleeping pod with charging and light inside, spacious but the bed could be a bit softer. You have a big locker in the room. The bathroom with nice, with showers and good hair dryers. There is also a common area with space to leave luggage, free water, coffee and tea, and some tables to rest. You can wash and dry your clothes for 50 NTD each and buy a detergent pod in the reception. The area at night is not the best, as you can see some drunk people wandering around. But other than that, is perfectly just outside the station and walking/bike/bus distance from everything."

"Public area is very comfortable ,has lights and good ventilation. The self-checkin machine is convenient, key your first name or middle name ,your phone number. then scan your passport. The shower has good pressure and the temperature of warm water is optimum, not too hot to harm the old people's skin as many other hotels do. staffs have good services though they don't have smiles on their face. The hostel has breakfasts and snacks too. Nice and quiet place , Good sleep."

"Best hostel I’ve stayed in in Taiwan! I loved the selection of skincare products and the dorms were really nice! Good common areas and great bathrooms. Very stylish. Only downside is the location. It is in the suburbs, but if you are just passing through it is a good place."

CCP_LeeI write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all. The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing? The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room. On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before. It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well? Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me. It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again I hope to hear from you on the above mentioned. Thank you.

GGeraldLim1Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

EEd TanMore for budget travellers, it's a decent stay for that price however cleanliness of the room was undesirable with dormant dust lingering since the moment we stepped in and persisted after a request to make up the rooms. Overall location was great but the room, bed and environment makes one very very itchy. Room is quite small but at least there is a communal area for eating takeout.

AAnonyymi käyttäjäDecent ok hotel, proximity to tai Chung railway station less than 8 mins walk if you go by the correct route and not follow blindly on the google map, breakfast can be missed as really need improvement but good to have as not many eateries nearby, good thing is there is a gang cheng station outside and opposite the hotel which can bring you to two famous night markets - Feng chia and Yi Zhong (better), take bus 25, 33, 35, but expect long distance ride, hotel room wall is too thin so be prepared to be disturbed at all times especially at night, WiFi can be weak at times, one last complain is the no throwing of toilet paper into the toilet bowl as too inconvenient for ladies but at this price of a well renovated hotel room, this is still acceptable

AAnonyymi käyttäjäStayed here from 10 Apr to 14 Apr. It is about 10-15mins walk Taichung Railway station. The hotel is within the central district of Taichung (buildings are older here), but the hotel itself looks and feel relatively new and modern. It is conveniently located near lots of food options, and the Taichung Second Market and Miyahara is only about 5-10mins walk away. The room is clean and spacious. It has a nice modern design too. The basic amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, lotion and hairdryer are provided. Can’t seem to find local channels on the TV but you can use apps like netflix and youtube. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast, tea time (if i recall correctly) and supper. The variety is acceptable given that this is not a big hotel. food is decent too. For breakfast there was a mini salad bar, porridge station, various steamed buns, toasts. For supper, there were braised minced meat rice and side dishes, soup, DIY noodle station, steamed buns, toasts, DIY beancurd station, some snacks/tidbits. There is also dessert with red/green bean soup, drinks and ice cream. Just one minor hiccup - a false fire alarm was trigger at 4am on one of the nights which only affected the higher floors from 9th storey and above. The guests on our storey werent aware if the lift is working or if it is safe to use and we ended up climbing the stairs down, only to find out later that there was no real fire. The affected guests waited at the lounge for about 30mins as the alarm was still ringing. The firemen eventually came and turned off the alarm. The hotel did apologise for the inconvenience by pasting a notice in the lift and informed guests to reach out to them if there are any queries. It would be nice if the hotel can engage the affected guests more directly and possible provide some form of compensation as service recovery. Nonetheless, still a pleasant stay overall!

CchrslChance Hotel in Taichung is exactly what you’d expect for the price of a 3-star hotel, and there’s nothing to complain about at this price range. The hotel is clean and provides all the necessary amenities. The most important highlight is the location—it’s right next to Taichung Train Station. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which makes everything very convenient. Overall, a good value stay.

JJRTHotel is located near the train station with about 10minutes walk and it’s very convenient. Staffs are very friendly and always assisting in every way possible from check-in to requests to check-out too. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, though room size is small but it sleep comfortably maximum of 2 person in a room. Overall had a great experience too and will definitely stay again.

VVT-Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, location is within 5mins walking distance to Family Mart, different eateries and bus-stops. It is also within 15mins walking distance to Yizhong Street. The only possible negative I can think about is that you will have to shower in the bath tub (there's no separate showering area outside of the tub), which may not be suitable for elderlies. Other than that, we really loved the relaxing ambience of the hotel. Would recommend.

MMae SummersHotel was nicely designed. Location wasn't too bad too, near the bus station we wanted to take to Sun Moon Lake. The footprint of the room is quite small, and had a bit of smell which we think came from the shower curtain. Service was good - staff at the front counter were really helpful and accommodating.

KKim Long TanRight outside a bus stop which we took number 19 to visit Western Palace. Plus we transferred to 9018 all the way to Lukang old town from the Museum of Dinosaurs and Botanical garden. All a walking distance to 7-11 and nearby has restaurants. Room is alright for us. Bathroom is clean. There is a laundry room at 5th floor, both wash and dry are 50 dollars each. We are very pleased with this location and hotel quietness. Nice n comfy.
